This is of my own experience, I don't intend to generalize but I'd be lying if I only know a few people with the same sentiments. Heck, even people from inside are opening up to me about their experiences. I guess this might be a call for change for those who run things inside congregations. Starting right is better than starting all over again.
We can do right by the people who are genuinely seeking God. The amount of stories I've heard from people who used to go to church is just pointblank heartbreaking. No one should ever experience things like these, let alone inside the house of God.
I'm sharing this with you not to ignite your pain or your anger, but to simply convince you that Jesus is not like the people who hurt you and I know you know that. The enemy might be telling you that Jesus did those things to you but He didn't and satan is nothing but a pathological liar.
Together, we can represent Jesus better. Minus the aesthetics, the sound system, the instagram posts, witty captions, are we representing Jesus well?

Honestly same feels kuya Gab. Toxic positivity, Homophobic, and a enabler culture has been in the system for a long time. I lost trust with the people inside the church and hopefully we can heal with all the things we went through..! pure love kuya

If it's brave to talk about things like these, it's braver to actually apologize and take accountability meron or wala man nagawang nakaka-offend. Skl being Bornagain Christian.. By God alone thru Faith alone In Christ alone.. Walang church na perfect pero kung ikaw talaga ay pinili ng Diyos di kana maaapektuhan sa mga nega inside da church.. Dahil i believe pinaunawa na sau ng Diyos na all things work together for good for those who love God.. At di man natin maunawaan bakit sila ganun ..pero ung trust mo na kay Lord na ..indi na sa tao
I’m all for that “pinili ka ni Lord” pero as I said in the video, ang mindset na “walang perfect na church” is exactly the reason why some people inside the church don’t want to grow. And if sinasabi niyo po na walang perfect na church, that further proves my point na there is something wrong and you just confirmed it. What are we doing about it? Are we holding these people accountable?
It’s the same old saying na “dapat di ka na na-ooffend”. It perpetuates stagnancy sa mga kristyano na patuloy walang sawang nang titisod ng mga kapatid nila sa Panginoon. Nasa mundo tayo, wala pa tayo sa langit. Offense will always be there. What we can do is hold the people who offended other people accountable and uphold them to the same standard that they uphold other people. Hindi yung pag sila yung nag kamali sinasabi nila, “Oh dapat di ka na ooffend, bakit di ba okay relationship mo kay Lord?” pero kapag iba ang nag kamali, walang karapatan sabihin yon. Pinapaalis sa church, bina-ban, disciplinary action, pinapahiya at marami pang iba.
Maraming tao at leaders sa loob ng simbahan ang nag take advantage sa “no one should be offended” policy ng mga simbahan. Kaya sobrang daming natitisod and kapag natisod sila, kasalanan nila? Nope. I believe Jesus won’t allow that if He were here.

Sa totoo lang, laking church din ako, pero yun nga, I saw what you saw, and I experienced what you experienced. Actually buong family namin umalis ng simbahan dahil sa mga ganung bagay. Hehe.
