    I was reading about the Blossomland Bridge in St. Joseph, Michigan, but I couldn’t quite understand how a Scherzer rolling lift bridge worked. After watching your video it makes sense. Thanks!

    Thanks for viewing. I posted a later video after several improvements were made. To make the bridge go down simply required the voltage to the little DC motor to be reversed. Let me know if that helps after you see the second video. RC

    I assume by now you've laid track on your bridge. Did you do anything special to make sure the track aligned? Does the trains pass easily over the bridge without derailing?

      Thanks for the question and sorry for the delay…I don’t monitor the video very often. Short answer: I placed small bevelled shims on each side of the track to guide the moving deck into alignment with the stationary deck. I’ll post a new video in September 2024 to show that detail and also traffic moving at different speeds across the bridge.l
