I was going to say Chanyeol is the rapper and has red hair in this video. They are all super good looking men. And each one has dedicated fans.
They have one of the best choreographies in the business. They sing dozens of genres. I don’t know if they’ve changed other than are better with each year whether singing in the group, or as duos or trios or quartets or solo. They’ve all produced their own solos to much praise.
And their harmonies are to melt for!
They started as 12 in 2012. By 2014 were winning all the awards possible. 3 members had left by 2014. The 9 went on to much success. The remaining Chinese member is still considered as a member of EXO , but hasn’t been allowed to perform with them in years due to poor relations between China and Korea. He left SM Entertainment, but has a great career in China, and has promised to perform with the group when he can.
So that left 8 regulars. Then they hit military age, and have been short one or two since. Right now Kai the hunk in the red suit, is getting close to finishing up his service. And the maknae, Sehun has just started his service. So there’s six or seven members who perform at a time in the last several years.

You immediately plugged in to the KAI-risma 😂 but as a group, you're right; they ought to carry a sensual health warning!! Amazing vocals and rap plus often OTT videos: when it works, SM are incomparable. In later songs members are "missing" due to their serving in the military; you can see a place set for the absent Kai in "Cream Soda".

Can we stop always using superlatives for everything please, I know you're a fan of them but you don't need to say they're the best at everything when they're... just not. Using this kind of language just paints you as someone who just can't see past their stan goggles.
EXO has a formidable vocal line for certain, and they have a very good discography (like almost everyone at SM tbh, the company has great A&R), but in the dance department ?
Kai is one of the best dancers in the industry, but won't be THE best as long as Taemin is active (not saying that to shade Kai at all, I'm sure he agrees that his bestie IS the best)... and collectively, EXO are worse dancers than almost every 4th gen group (4th gen just has a much higher dance standard overall, so even a vocally focused group like OneUs is stronger in the dance department than EXO).

They have 3 main vocalists: Baekhyun, D.O. and Chen (who many consider the best vocalist in all of Kpop) - but pretty much all of them can sing. When they started in 2012 there were 12 members; 3 Chinese members left in the first few years. Their ninth member, Lay, is still in the group but is kind of in exile because China is not popular in Korea (and he's a huge star in China). Another member, Kai (often considered among the best dancers in Kpop) is in the military so he's missing from Cream Soda. EXO's member numbers fluctuate because of 2 reasons:
1) line-up changes (aka members leave/go on hiatus)
2) military service
Monster, 9 members - by this time, EXO had gone from a 12-member group to a 9-member group having lost members Kris, Tao, and Luhan.
Love Shot, 8 members - by this time Lay was on hiatus.
Cream Soda, 7 members - Lay on hiatus, Kai in military service
Obsession, 6 members - Lay on hiatus, Xiumin & D.O. in military service.
Next - EXO's vocal line is widely known to be one of the BEST in K-pop. This is because the killer combination of Chen, Baekhyun, Suho, and D.O being in one group (also arguably Xiumin).
Which honestly happened by fluke, because EXO was created as two separate units that promoted simultaneously in Korea and China (Exo-K, Exo-M). Therefore, SM needed to ensure that each member had a proper counterpart that could cover their parts effectively. Then, once Kris, Luhan, and Tao (all from the Chinese unit) left the group and there was a bunch of political drama around SK and China, the groups were combined permanently. As a result, you got two of the main vocal counterparts in one game-changing team basically (Chen-Baekhyun, Suho-Xiumin, D.O's counterpart imo was Luhan who left the group).

2012 -2014: There are 12 members divided into 2 sub units. 1st sub unit is EXO-K (Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, Sehun) and 2nd sub unit is EXO-M (Kris, Xiumin Luhan, Lay, Chen, Tao)
2014: 2 Chinese members left this year (Kris and Luhan)
2015: There were 10 members, and in the same year 1 Chinese members left again (Tao)
2016: There are 9 members
2017: One remaining Chinese member (Lay) is on hiatus so there are only 8 of them making a comeback
2018: This year there were 2 comebacks, in the first comeback there were 9 members (but he didn't participate in promotions), the second was Loveshot, only 8 members participated.
2019: 2 Korean members are serving military service (Xiumin and D.O.), 1 Chinese member (Lay) is still on group hiatus (but still active solo in China). So only 6 members participated in the comeback (Obsession)
2020: There is no group comeback, they are doing solo activities. The other 2 members are serving military service (Suho and Chen)
2021: The first 2 members (Xiumin and D.O.) who underwent military service have finished. One Chinese member (Lay) made a comeback with the group. So there are 7 members participating. In the same year 2 other members underwent military service (Baekhyun and Chanyeol)
2022: 3 members (Suho, Chen, and Chanyeol) have finished military service, there is no group comeback, only solo activities
2023: One Chinese member (Lay) is back on hiatus from the group's comeback. One member (Baekhyun) has completed his mandatory military service. So there are 8 members participating. In the same year the last 2 members underwent military service (KAI and Sehun)

2016: Lay makes his solo debut. New unit formed (EXO-CBX: Chen Baekhyun and Xiumin)
2019: Chen and Baekhyun made their solo debut. New unit formed (EXO-SC: Sehun and Chanyeol)
2020: Suho and KAI make their solo debut. Lay created his own agency and recruited trainees too (so far 16 people have been introduced to the public)
2021: D.O. make his solo debut
2022: Xiumin make his solo debut
2022: One remaining Chinese member (Lay) announced that he was leaving the agency because his contract had expired. (It's still debatable whether he left the group at once or not, but he still often talks about his members)

And the rest of thwir discography us just as amazing. It's not only the leading singles, it's also the other songs od the albums. All of them. Absolute amazing discography. There are 9 members In Cream soda Two members are not in the music because One is in the military And the other member is in China doing solo work. Right now EXO Have 2 of the youngest members In the military They will return in 2025. 0T9 forever
