You nailed the last remark on the video. D.O. also known as Kyungsoo (2nd guy from the left) is another main vocalist of EXO. He only showcased only like 10% of his vocal abilities in this killing voice. Actually all of them only showcased 10% of their talents in this video. 😂 EXO has so much to offer if you dive more into their discography.

YES, the 2nd guy from the right, his name is D.O and sadly in this video he didn't have that many lines to show off his vocals. But D.O, CHEN (the guy in the middle with all white clothes), and BAEKHYUN (the 2nd guy from the right) are actually the main vocalist of EXO. And D.O has an amazing R&B vocals that everyone fall in love with it. Too sad he didn't sang that much here.
It's a terrible shame that even after 11 years of career there are "people" who underestimate the amazing vocals of Kyungsoo, which gives each song a unique zest and uniqueness.
But they didn't give him a highlight part in this medley... I kept waiting for it, They have a whole Kyungsoo in their team and he isn't well used I think. Urrrgggh it frustrates me when he has my favorite voice!

This Killing Voice performance, as the title indicates, is supposed to showcase EXO's outstanding vocals, so what you are hearing is a compilation of some of the best parts of their songs that highlight their vocal abilities. They debuted more than 11 years ago, so they have a lot of songs. You are only hearing a small fraction of them and only a few lines of each of the songs (And in some cases, they are singing lines from the middle of the song, so it may sound different when you listen to the actual song. Plus, in this performance they are missing two members, so some of their parts in these songs were different than the original versions because they had to cover for the missing members.) As you can see and hear, this is a LIVE performance with 100% live vocals.
SM Entertainment is known for having some of the best singers in the industry. You can't be an SM artist without being an amazing singer. So even the company's rappers receive intense vocal training. (Just look at EXO's Chanyeol on the far left and Sehun on the far right, who are both main rappers, and, yet, they each have amazing singing voices. How often do you see rappers that can sing as well as them?) All of SM's rappers could even fill in as main vocalists in their groups. That is why the company has gained the reputation as the vocal powerhouse of the industry. And what you are hearing is why EXO are nicknamed "the vocal kings of Kpop". Another thing SM's artists and groups are known for is for being top tier when it comes to live vocals and perfect harmonies. SM artists are recognized for the fact that they all can sing live while performing intense choreography for hours in concert and still sound flawless the whole time.
EXO is currently a 9-member group, however, there are only 7 members in this performance. From left to right: Chanyeol (main rapper and lead vocal), D.O. (main vocal), Suho (leader and lead vocal), Chen (main vocal), Xiumin (sub-vocal, sub-rapper, and dancer), Baekhyun (main vocal) and Sehun (main rapper and main dancer). The two members who are missing are: Kai (main dancer, lead vocal and sub-rapper), who is on hiatus right now because he joined the military May 2023, and will be away for the next 18 months; and Lay (main dancer, lead vocal and rapper), EXO's Chinese member, who is busy with solo activities in China.
Xiumin is the oldest member, who is currently 33, and Sehun is the youngest at 29. They are seasoned veterans at this point, who are all highly respected in the industry for their talent.
As you just saw, "Miracles in December" is a song that is only sung by EXO's three main vocalists, Chen, Baekhyun and D.O. However, you will see all the EXO members in the MV because it's telling another part of EXO's story.
EXO debuted in 2012 with their song "Mama." When you watch that MV and get to know EXO better, you will understand why D.O. was making jokes and they were all laughing when he introduced "Mama." EXO's debut and group concept is unlike anything you have ever seen before and "Mama" is one of the most epic debut songs and MVs ever created.
"The First Snow" is about the magic of the first snowfall of the season and how it's the perfect atmosphere to fall in love. This song is so popular that you can hear it being played all over the place in Korea on the first day of snow and it's pretty much considered a winter anthem that gets played nonstop all season long, especially around the holidays.
EXO's "Power" was also used as one of the theme songs, along with their song "Growl," during the 2018 winter Olympics. EXO even performed both songs during the closing ceremony. As "the nation's boy group," EXO was the only Kpop group to be selected to perform at the Olympics. If you like the sound of "Power" in this video, just wait until you see their live remixed version of the song. You should check out their "Diamond" + "Coming Over" + "Run This" + "Drop That" + "Power" set at their EXOPLANET #4 The ElyXiOn in Seoul in 2017.
"Cream Soda" is their most recent song that was just released in July, and the whole reason why they were on Dingo's Killing Voice was to promote this song and album, which is why the performed the whole song. (LOL, if you think "Cream Soda" is about your favorite soft drink, then you really need to look up the English translation of the lyrics. EXO are not talking about a beverage. 😉)

I still take Big Mama's killing voice and Exo is my favorite group AND I didn't know Big Mama before.
I think a lot of killings voices are good. Personally I liked Mamamoos, NCT 127, Akmu, and Big Mamas. It’s just about preference..doesn’t make you biased. I liked Exos because it was nostalgic, but I’m not a fan of their newer music..so I ended up skipping their newer songs. Same for NCT 127..not a fan on some of their songs, but their vocals are really smooth.

BTS, Astro, NCT 127, TXT, SKZ, A.C.E, Vanner, VAV, Ateez, E’Last, and Blitzers…these are some of the groups I’m into. BTS is my favorite just because they feel more authentic..I guess more artistic? tbh..I’m not really into girl groups. Gidle, dream catcher, and Newjeans are the only girl groups I really listen to besides Gfriend. Can you recommend me some more groups? Maybe nugu groups.

EXO DO "the sleeper" is probably the one most vocal analysts love listening to because of his agility/runs. The three are interchangeable. If we went to their other talents outside of EXO I think it would be overload.
The guy in the middle is CHEN he also have a youtube channel called 'CHEN' he only uploads covers of songs and the live versions of his own songs. His solo songs are so beautiful, he is a total professional, he is all about singing. Other members do acting and modeling but this guy is focused and commited to singing. My favorite solo song of his is 'Beautiful Goodbye' plus recently he released a new Japanese album and I'm obsessed, especially the song 'Free World' is my favorite.
If you keep checking out EXO you'll never regret. They are legends. All members are gems, people (including myself even after 7 years I still wonder) often wonders how that much talented people exist in one single group.

The channel is new to EXO but the order these 7 members are standing is perfectly balanced. The two main rappers (who happen to be the 2 tallest) are the bookends to the five vocalists in the middle - 3 main vocalists and the 2 lead vocalists between the main. It is a perfectly even spread with this number of members.
Thank you for the reaction. They are an 11 year old group with originally 12 members. Long story short, 3 members left the group, so now they are 9 members. We have 7 soloists in the group with 2 sub units. They are one of the groups with great vocal tone combinations with distinct differences when they sing as soloists. whats even crazier is how Xiumin and chen carry the vocals in the Chinese versions of these songs prior to 2015, they all have so much strength in their vocals and can support others or mix and match. Absolute team work

Kai (released a solo song, Rover), one of the korean members is now serving the military and Lay (the remaining chinese member) is more active now in China but still is a member of the group. Only 7 participated in the promotion of this new album.

In EXO we have;

Chen (the one in the middle in white),
Baekhyun (black jacket),
D.O (black shirt) and
Suho (beige shirt).
Lead vocals;
Xiumin (light blue shirt),
Kai (he is currently enlisted and not in the video)
Our 2 great vocals and main rappers;
Canyeol (blue and white striped shirt) and
Sehun (dark blue jacket)
There is also Lay, who is sadly currently promoting solo in China.
Slight correction, only Chen, Baekhyun, and DO are main vocalists (our vocal trinity). Suho is the only lead vocalist. Xiumin is a subvocalist along with Kai. Only Chanyeol is a main rapper, Sehun is a lead rapper. They have other positions, but these are theirs in terms of vocals and rappers. But a lot of people mistake Suho as a main vocal because he’s considered part of the vocal line (and honestly in any other group Suho is main vocalist material). And Xiumin is such an underrated and talented vocalist, but in EXO, an entire group of vocal monsters, he’s only a sub vocalist.

I don’t really care if some still pretend that he isn't, because he is by ability and position. Xiumin is a lead vocal since 2017 and Kai became the second lead vocal in 2018.
This is their positions by their singing parts and difficulties in the group.
Meanwhile Chanyeol could totally be a lead vocal, but he just doesn't hold the position in the group. Same goes for Lay.
Coming to Chanyeol and Sehun. Chanyeol is the main vocal since debut, but if you look at their rapping now, they both are main rappers.

Maybe, it can happen. You are confused with vocal line. EXO main vocal LINE consists of chen, baekhyun, d.o and suho but still suho only lead vocalist. Same goes to Seventeen. In the seventeen, they have vocal line consists of woozi, dk, joshua, jeonghan and seungkwan but the MAIN VOCALISTS only DK and SEUNGKWAN while the others are lead vocalists.

Do Kyungsoo is just incredible in every sense. He is one of the few vocalists who can make your heart flutter and cause a storm of emotions. He manages his deep voice and sweet timbre with such ease that the same part can sound completely different "starting very roughly and ending unrealistically gently". Kyungsoo's unique voice gives each song a unique charm. I'm ready to listen to his voice as much as I want.! Even when Kyungsoo just speaks, he wants to listen and listen to endlessly, such a pleasant voice.

The second from the left is D.O. and he is also one of the main vocalists even though it does not seem like it in this video. He has an absolutely amazing and unique voice. Very R&B. For some reason, the way these songs have been arranged, his best parts were not showcased, which is a bit disappointing. EXO are all amazing and talented singers and performers and it would be cool if you guys checked some more of their songs. If you like slow songs, I suggest Universe. Their vocals are stunning.

And he’s a multi-awarded actor as well.

The one in the middle is Chen (Kim Jongdae)! He is the undisputed Vocal King of kpop. He sings various genres from ballad to funk to pop to rock, and he has an insane vocal range. Although he is widely known in kpop for his high notes, he actually also has the best supported lower register (low notes) in all of kpop (male tenor singers). Since you asked for his solo work, this is the perfect time for you guys to check out and react to his new Japanese solo (debut) album called "Polaris"! It's a mini album and it dropped just a few weeks ago. The genres in this album are ballad, rock, and blues. The title song is "Light of my Life" (ballad) -- a song about finding your inner guiding light -- and it has an MV that you guys can watch. But I recommend you guys react to the whole album if you can because all the songs are amazing and his vocals are INSANE in every single one of them. There are some crazy good jrock (Japanese rock) songs -- "Free World" and "Break Out" -- that you guys can't miss if you want to hear what Chen's rocker side sounds like. Anyway, I hope you check out "Light of My Life" MV at least, as well as those 2 rock tracks if you can't do the whole album. But there's a TON of other Chen solo content. He has 4 solo albums, he's part of the EXO subunit CBX, and he has a lot of collaboration singles with other artists as well as kdrama OSTs. Anyway for now I must keep hyping up "Polaris" album because it just came out and it's SO good. Even for Chen fans, it's like a whole new era of his music.

I adore Chen but you cannot say he's the undisputed vocal king of kpop lol It has been disputed and many people think it's Baekhyun, some say D.O or some have said a non EXO member. It's just a matter of preference but Chen is definitely considered one of the greatest vocalists in kpop
@@MoscufoGoofo Yes, I can say with no room for doubt or confusion that Chen is the Vocal King of kpop. That is an objective title/label, it is not a matter of preference. A matter of preference is when you say "my top favorite vocalist" or "the most popular vocalist." The phrase "vocal king" is for the best vocalist objectively, coupled with reputability, aka the singer with the best vocals in terms of technique, support, range, versatility, etc, widely acknowledged by the industry. Chen is consistently acknowledged and ranked at the top by professionals and singers; he is a very successful solo artist; and he has a VERY diverse solo discography in terms of genres that he is able to sing/execute with masterful technique aka ballads, rock, funk, blues, r&b, retro pop, etc etc etc. His rock music alone sets him apart in terms of artistry and versatility. All of this -- vocal talent (objective; and the biggest factor here) + industry reputability + discography -- makes him the Vocal King of kpop.

I don’t believe it is objective because I think they are influenced by personal feeling and opinions unless they have facts in comparison to all of the other male vocalists in the Kpop industry with reputable resources. I can name many male Kpop artists that have been called a vocal king at the top of my head that people would use to dispute here are some Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, Yesung( Super Junior), D.O, Baekhun(Exo), Sandeul(B1A4), Xia Junsu(JYJ/Soloist), Changmin(TVXQ), Eunkwang, Hyunsik, Sungjae, Changsub(BTOB), Seungyoon(Winner), Jonghyun😭(Shinee), Jongho(Ateez), Hui( Pentagon), DK, Seungkwan(Seventeen), Kihyun(Monsta X), etc… and these are just ones that I have personally listened to or seen in vocal competitions like Masked Singer or Immortal Songs.

Maybe, it can happen. You are confused with vocal line. EXO main vocal LINE consists of chen, baekhyun, d.o and suho but still suho only lead vocalist. Same goes to Seventeen. In the seventeen, they have vocal line consists of woozi, dk, joshua, jeonghan and seungkwan but the MAIN VOCALISTS only DK and SEUNGKWAN while the others are lead vocalists.

The group consists of nine members from left to right: Chanyeol (main rapper, vocal), D.O. (main vocal), Suho (leader, vocal), Chen (main vocal), Xiumin (sub vocal, sub rapper, dancer), Baekhyun (main vocal), Sehun (rapper, dancer), Kai (main dancer, vocal, sub rapper. He enlisted military on May 2023) and Lay (main dancer, vocal. Solo activities in China, but remains a member of EXO).

2nd from the left is D.O. His vocals are crazy, but he is known as being pretty chill and unbothered. Another reactor said he looked like he was waiting for a bus, lol. If those same vocals were coming out of someone who was more physically expressive while singing, it would seem more epic. The funny thing is that he is actually a very accomplished and award winning actor, so we know he has it in him.
There are a lot of times he is singing in the background or doubling for someone else that it is easy to overlook because he doesn't look like he's doing much.

The vocals are on fire. EXO is the best vocal group. All the members can sing very well.
EXO have 3 Main Vocals. The 2nd, 4th and 6th from the left. The rappers also release albums as a Duo. EXO have 7 soloist as of now. They're pretty busy both solos and as a group. 2 members are missing here, one is currently serving in the military and the other is in China.
