i gotta say, this game has made me really appreciate roger as sonic. it feels like sonic is getting older as the games have gone along, but he's still the sonic we know and love

Listening to where Roger started compared to this is like night and day. With the range he's shown in Boom, Rise of the Wisps, OK KO, and now Frontiers, he's definitely my favourite voice for the character.
@@donathan2933 boom sonic in rise of lyric and shattered crystal it's basically his regular Sonic voice but with less inflection. This sounds pretty close to his regular speaking voice. It's not bad at all mind you but I feel he could have delivered almost all of these lines in his regular Sonic voice and it would still sound good, this would also alienate casuals less.

These aren't unused (Some of them could) They are actually physically in the game and can be triggered but under VERY specific requirements time of day/where to be and yeah all that. Some of them happen at random when afk for awhile. The dialogue changes depending on how much progress you made throughout the game.
A lot of them activate by just standing still... for 10 minutes. I got two on Rhea that way. I think it's also possible for them to trigger when you're running around, collecting stuff but not going into cyberspace or doing more "important" tasks. Not too sure though.
I honestly don’t think Roger ever topped his work in Generations and that was supposedly a Ryan impression. Only issue there was that he didn’t have a lot of actually serious lines but the ones that _were_ in Generations were really good.
I like it better when Roger voices the much more cooler Sonic like how he was back in the dreamcast and 4kids days, than the Comedian Sonic from Colors, Generations, and Lost World. I’d say He is 3rd best while Jason is 2, and Ryan is 1.
