Pentatonix is family friendly BECAUSE of Kevin. SEP3RFRUIT (originally) but changed the 3 back to an E witch also gives you insight to how Scott thinks since he turned the Pentotonic scale into Pentatonix. Superfruit is just
Scott and Mitch being themselves and almost anything can happen, but cut if needed.
Scott met Mitch at age 10 doing "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and have been best friends since. Mitch met Kirstin around age 8 and their Parents all know each other since they had to drive the kids around. They did Community Arts Theater which is why they Perform and not just sing. It's also why their harmonies are Outstanding because they have been blending together 20 years, through puberty and voice changes they blend and have Amazing Sound.
Scott got the idea to audition for NBC because he was friends with Ben Brum who was working on the TV show. He went back home to Arlington to grab his 2 besties to enter the contest. They were told it had to be ALL accopella with a minimum of 5 people so Ben knew Avi and Scott found Kevin through CZcams.
Kevin was Very Concerned about joining a band because he is Very Religious (he and his sister pray for an hour every day) she said. Kevin was unsure about timing and if they toured. Kevin had just graduated from Yale and was headed into pre-med. He played the saxophone at Carnegie Hall when he was 17. He knows several languages including fluent in Mandarin. He is a Beast.
Scott paid half the cost to get Kevin to Los Angeles and all 5 played together for the First time 24 hours before the first show.
Scott hates labels, since no Lead Singer and he wants everyone to be successful and have a part. Every one gets a chance to shine.
Guy.exe is halarois on Superfruit and the Upgrade by Scott, Mitch, Brian Justin Crum, Mario and Mary Lambert of Katy Perry's "RISE" is emotional. But Superfruit is just their world with their friends.
Scott also created the ALL Female accapell group Citizens ...
That group is Citizen Queen.
Btw they added the E to superfruit because the original spelling was already taken and while their name is superfruit the @ for their channel still has the E. It had nothing to do with Scott’s creativity, just that they couldn’t use the spelling they wanted.
You can hear Mitch rap in the Pentatonix cover of "Problem". Others have mentioned their cover of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Can't Hold Us". There's a bit of rapping in their early cover of Nicki Minaj's "Starships" which is an example of them substituting "Mitches" for "bitches". Mitch also raps on live performances of their original song "Can't Sleep Love"; Tink does the rap on the studio track. Kevin raps on their original song "Sing". Both Kevin and Matt rap on the PTX mashup cover of BTS' Butter & Dynamite. Scott/Mitch/Kirstin all rap on their cover of Thrift Shop (Macklemore & Ryan Lewis). Scott raps in Korean for their cover of Psy's "Gangnam Style". And of course, you definitely need to check out the Superfruit videos "Hip Hop Goes Broadway 1 & 2 and "Feeling Myself".
Do "Hip Hop Goes Broadway" (1 and 2). It's one of the funniest things they've ever done. At least I think so. I think you'll really like it.

So glad you did this one, it’s so good. Yes I’m one of those peeps who never watched the show but I love this medley. 👍🏻. I think I read that they were hired by Fox to do this. PTX is “family friendly “ but SF isn’t. You’ll see as you explore more of their vlogs. You might like Hip Hop Goes Broadway 1 & 2. They are hilarious with great bloopers!

Thank you for reacting to this Superfruit "Empire Medley". They did a great job of putting this medley together. I watched the early seasons of the show but stopped watching it a few seasons before it ended. Some very good songs came from that show.

I love this medley. Try Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus or their videos of Frozen with Kirsty. You really can't go wrong with Superfruit.
PTX is very family friendly but Superfruit is these two being themselves but they don’t curse much

You are right, all these songs are from the first season. Fox Broadcasting sponsored this and used it in ads for the second season. I never saw the show but I liked this medley so much I bought the soundtrack album for the first season.

Kevin is very religious and not comfortable with profanity so Pentatonix will alter any nasty lyrics (for instance, in any song with the word "bitch" they will use "Mitch" instead). It's probably also because some of their fan base wouldn't be comfortable with it. Superfruit will use profanity (check out their "Hip Hop Goes Broadway" videos) but any really bad words will be bleeped, maybe to avoid problems with CZcams.

they do curse in suprfruit videos, not pentatonix ones. to hear mitch rap watch their 'feelin' myself' video. superfruit videos usually have bloopers are the very end after the subscribe thing.
I think Mitch cursed during the Beyoncé medley.
Oh, They try and refrain from cussing in their music but they Both can cuss a lot when it's Just Them
On the Hip Hop videos they do, but not the f word. On their channel they do swear.

Oh they can rap😁 I suggest "feeling myself" and "Hip hop goes broadway 1 and 2" or some originals by them. " Cool videos to watch are "Imaginary parties", "bad 4 us" or " guy.exe".
Ptx is very family friendly and they don't curse. Usually changing up lyrics if necessary. Superfruit are more comedic and embrace full songs. They do often bleep curse words though, to not be too obscene. But take superfruit with humor and you'll enjoy them😊
