How do I get to watch this video? I clicked the link it says it’s private
Not gonna lie this dude looking cute 😭 couldn’t be me
I found a lot of info on meeting and dating Japanese girls, but not much on guys, so I appreciate this as someone who now lives here and would like to date and eventually marry.
I like the idea of the ritual, it makes the intentions clear so there's no doubt.
In India,, you confess/propose (even if you're a girl who's confessing) or else it's just "we're playing, nothing serious," the verbal confirmation is important here too
"ritual" or "kokohaku" or "confession" i'm glad to hear that , that's we need as well from boys😍❤
We had that in America. At least my generation did.
Santi-san thank you for the quality content! 👏 I have been talking to a Japanese guy for a while now and have learned a lot of helpful info from you. You deserve many more subscribers. I like the concept of kokuhaku. It takes the guesswork out of the relationship and prevents you from wasting time on someone who may never feel the way you do about them. I dont like the "let's see where this takes us" relationship approach that is currently the norm in America. Plus I think "the confession" is very sweet and shows courage and initiative, which is very attractive. It is also similar to my (Russian conservative) culture where traditionally the man would confess his feelings openly to the woman and she agrees to be his girlfriend, before the relationship is considered official.
I live in US.. and I met someone before .. and one day, He wrote his number on a piece of paper and gave to me, then we became text mates but not for long.. and I found out he was half japanese - american.. little do I know that we both have crush on each other... But he was kinda shy and told me hes a busy guy who don't have time to have a relationship.. then we met again but it was just one time and we kissed, we were so sweet and I thought I found the one..but since then he never replied to me anymore... He then told me.. he likes girls that aren't easy.. maybe because I was too soft on him that I gave in too early..? Maybe japanese men wants to chase alot or have a tsundere character something like that... because I know I'm not like that... I'm straightforward that if I want you.. I will want you.. if not, then not..
Damn he should've said so in the beginning
You are right Santi-San... understanding what kind of relationship you have and confirming that kind of relationship is very essential I order not to be misguided! As well as the back ground. Many Japanese men have an open mind once they lived over seas . The Japanese mind set is as conservative just like us in the Philippines. I live here in America but that is one thing that is not changed.
Xia san, interesting😌 so same in Philippines🤔
While talking about relationships, I'm thinking about the use of emoji's:
Do Japanese use emoji's often or is it considered to be childish/immature? Does it depend from person to person?
I use emoji's like "XP/XD/:)" regularly while chatting/texting/commenting. But I think those aren't really used in Japan?
Are there also Japan-specific emoji's? For example I think the red "100" is used to wish someone good results on their exam?
As always, thanks for the informing video.
Jezzman thanks for your comment! i wana make a vid for this, plz wait for two weeks max👍😁
Thank you so much Santi for answering my question. I really learned a lot new knowledge in this topic🤗🤗 More power to your acc!!🤗
Im glad you enjoyed👍😁
Interesting. So if you are a christian though, in America- yes we establish a confession of feelings first before being an official boyfriend/girlfriend. This ritual is important for us Christian Americans too. We don't have a word for it, but the phrase "tell him how you feel." Comes up in friend conversations.
For us we are not supposed to have sex until marriage. The pressure is still there, especially if feelings are strong and only one person is a christian.
Sometimes girls are told the guy will leave or cheat if he has to wait. There are many excuses for guys in our American culture.
Years ago- it was known as courtship; to "court a person." Is going out without any intimacy. It is for respecting the other person and getting to know who they are first.
Many of us try to do this. Our media and TV shows have no morals or culture we were founded in. So many people buy into popular beliefs and social constructions of this new- rushing in. Younger generations have even reached a point where it is only acceptable to treat others as replaceable and develop a narcissistic way of expression to let someone know you like them. I feel sorry for the younger generations. Growing up without a safe or respectful structure damages their self respect, generates loneliness, and causes someone to leave their love interests feeling very vulnerable and unsure about the future or foundation of a relationship. Many christians that abide by morals and foundational guides end up lonely and "waiting" for someone to respect their morals and be an "equal spiritually."(equal yoke). For purpsoes of being able to potentially build on a meaningful relationship that blossoms into a great marriage and a strong friendship with that person.
This is interesting. Actually the same rules applies for any relationship in this world or it doesn't?😅
In indonesia you have to confess first without confess you guys are not in relationship, or if you kiss before confession they just use you for fun
man , i want to be confessed to by a Japanese guy
Thanks for sharing this! 😍
Thanks. Good content
I understand that 告白 is usually expected (or happens) after 3 to 5 dates. Is it true? I always found that odd because you can't possibly know if you really want to be in a relationship with someone that fast.
There is still conservatism on having an official relationship in Japanese culture, I think it's not bad.👍
I really like your pointers. I’ve been binge watching your videos. And it taught me a lot of things. Thank you.
I Wish i knew it from the start😢
My friend story~
uuhh i see you man😂
Even if a man confesses his feelings and the girl doesn't feel the same, no holding hands is going to happen much less kissing. Is Lisa just a random name or someone in your past ?
totally random , Zuladnim🤣
I think i already understand what kokuhaku is, it's the western counterpart of commiment or committing in a serious relationship
“f*ck ritual” 😭🤣
Interesting stuff
i want to have a japanese boyfriend
Wow.. I really interested to learn more about japanese culture and attitude... Me I have questions?
Sure Minami san
Do japanese couples kiss or having sex while they are in dating term ( not bf/ gf yet ) ? In my case, I am dating a Japanese guy (he is 30 years old and Come to US as an expat for 2 years).
Sister, we're on the same exact situation!!! 30 yrs old and expat here in the Philippines for 2 yrs. Yeah they definitely do lol. However I did communicate with him that I want to us be exclusively dating and he agreed. I guess we have to do this confession now if we want to make things official.
Having sex even without relationship.. What is that??
🤣🤣🤣It just a kind of stupidity.. Having sex is only for a relation that ready to got married or after married the better this is conservative way..
Ohayou Santi san do you have an option for the opposite siduation I’ve been with my boyfriend for a while now and he avoids anything sex related and I don’t know why and he won’t tell me he always says later or soon but soon or later never comes it’s really starting to put some insecurities on me even though he tells me he loves me and we live together 😔 sincerely tanaka san
Sex related, such as?
i know i’m never doing it because it’s embarrassing 💀
Hello Santi.
Im the one who asked the japanese guy to be my boyfriend. And he said Yes.
So we dated.
But he is so confusing.
He is being cold when replying my messages.
hi Cristilyn, thajs great! but how cold🤔
@@japaneseman How cold? Hmmmm. He is not so interested in talking to me in the LINE. Usual greetings only ‘‘おはよう‘‘、行ってきます。I noticed also that when he wants to meet me, his chats full of ``愛している。he does not chat me at all. weve been dating since April. But we meet only once a month. I feel hurt emotionally but I do like Him.
when I asked him, Do you still love me? He said, I still love you. Its so frustrating.
Wow I love the ritual, it gives you security and it is sweet. And I would not call it sex by then, the right term would be "make love".
Is it necessary that the boy initiate the confession of love in what u say ritual?
Vice versa👍
my friend eh~~~ 🤔😏😌😌😌
You are spot on Santi .. my bf is exactly what u said. After ritual, super touchy and asked for sex. Before that don’t even touch me haha 😹
What if the girl can't have sex without marriage ? What if she is Conservative and never had sex ?
Hey Santi, It's time for reaction videos of Filthy Frank brother
Do Japanese man have expectation of foreign women bodytype?
Interesting...
Hello, Santi-san. Do Japanese guys ages 25 up can wait for sex when their girlfriends say no, not until they get married?
Very interesting,, I think it depends. But me? No
@@japaneseman Ohw no. 😂 But do you think it's possible for some or even 1/4 of Japanese guys in Japan?
hmm well, personally it is very difficult. Why you want to avoid sex till marriage? as far as I know, we dont have such tradition in Japan. maybe it comes from religious mindset? well, if you make him love you deeply enough before marriage, could be. Anyway, try your best👍
@@japaneseman Arigatou 😊 I'll keep this in mind.
@@japaneseman But how if you both really in love but still the girl don't want to have sex?what will you do?
