    How many years of tropical ( Jamaica) sun can these take ? Will miracle grow or other plant food, fertilizer, pesticides corrode the tubing. How does Chlorine water effect the tubing? Thanks for your help✊🏾

      Hello Nathaniel, Our polyethylene drip tubing contains 2% carbon black making it very resistant to the damaging effects of UV rays. Also nutrients, minerals and fertilizers do not have any negative effects to our poly tubing. Please let us know if you have any other questions, comments or concerns.

    I have one raised bed I want to use the drip irrigation for. In order to get to the raised bed, I would need to run hose around a very large garage. Could I just run a couple of garden hoses around the garage and attach the timer, filter, backflow unit from the end of the garden hose? Or still attach at the faucet? Or would I just get a ton of 1/2 in poly-tubing to run around the garage? Thanks so much!

      Hey Brandi, you can do it with a garden hose or with 1/2" tubing. The way to do it with the garden hose is to install the timer, backflow, filter, and pressure regulator at the faucet and then connect the garden hose and run it around around the garage and install the swivel adapter at the end of the garden hose. Hope this helps!

  • @TomNguyenalwaysfortylove

    Should the back flow valve and the filter/pressure regulator be attached to the supply line before the timer if one uses a dual port hose end timer?

      @DIGCORPORATION  Před 6 lety

      Hey Tom,
      You always want to install the backflow, filter, and pressure regulator after the timer. If you are using a multi-outlet hose end timer, each outlet will need its own backflow, filter, and pressure regulator.
      Best,
      Eric

    I bought the DIG Patio Drip Watering Kit. But I can't even push the 1/4 inch micro tubing into adapter. Any trick on how to get it in?

    • @DIGCORPORATION
      @DIGCORPORATION  Před 2 lety

      Hello, it can be a bit difficult sometimes to work with tubing. We recommend putting the 1/4" micro tubing into some warm water, or laying it out in the sun for a while, to make it more pliable.

    I have plants that are a great deal away from the water source. I piped 1/2 in pvc to the location and now want to install your products to distribute the water. Any issue with this?

    • @DIGCORPORATION

      So it depends on how far away from the water. If it is less than 100 ft or so, it should be okay. You don't want to run 1/2" pipe for too long of a distance, because hydraulic problems like water hammer can occur if the pipe is small and goes a long way.

    Why does the water flow out of the back flow preventer during watering?

    • @DIGCORPORATION
      @DIGCORPORATION  Před 5 lety

      Hey Jason, it sounds like you may have a faulty backflow preventer. Please email us at dig@digcorp.com; we would be happy to replace it for you.

    Why do you guys have to make it so difficult to buy your products? We have to go with Rainbird because Dig products aren't available anywhere. Even Amazon doesn't sell them directly.
    Checked Home Depot and Tractor Supply also. Nothing.
