this isnt a horror, and its a fucking trash thriller. You can liteally see whats about to happen in like 5 minutes. Daniel was obviously going to save her, and her husband was qustionable from the start. Really is trash

The conclusion, alex is a selfish lover who always think about himself, and his brother, Daniel, is a true lover who sacrifices himself even his family for the one he loves.
I don't understand something why Alex would kill his wife at the end ? because he thought she killed Daniel, right? ( at the first he tried to help her )

@Nealen the Nerd The only reason why Daniel wanted to reunite with his wife was he wanted his wife die with him. Fortunately, his wife realized it sooner that she also will die with the family bacause together they break the tradition. As soon as she knew it, she divorced her husband.
He saw how Grace (bride) no longer trusted him so he probably had that "If I can't have her then no one can" mindset.
Daniel do not love her, he's just a good person who don't want to kill at all.

Wouldn't it have been so cool, if Daniel survived that gunshot and when its time where they realise they're all gonna explode, just when Alex begs for forgiveness, Grace takes off her ring in order to separate herself from Alex and put it on Daniels' finger, making him, her husband so that he won't explode like others, saving Daniel, and then they'd have been the better couple who made it through till the end.
I know its a very random theory, but I just finished watching this and it was going through my mind so I thought lets put it here on youtube haha

this is actually a good film. It's funny but seriously dark. there are a few jumpscares but the movie is still good. And there is a part where a man gets shot by a crossbow twice in the beginning and make sure to remember where he got shot.

The plot is very predictable, the family will hunt you and your husband will help you then at the end he will betray you coz "family" and "tradition" matters more to them. Its just a well acted film with a lame story, nothing remarkable on this film.
coz the Bride is a perfect sacrifice for Satan, a good person. She’ll never be a part of the Family too, she’s got soul, and she’ll just destroy the Family. basically the whole point of the movie, except the Sacrifice survives. only sleeping sheeples will not get it!

160 556 Actually there’s a lot of good things about the writing and the story. Alex doesn’t turn because of “tradition” he turns because he’s selfish and realizes that Grace would leave him if she lived and he decided he would rather her dead than living without him. The writing for Grace was done well because she’s acts like a normal person would act in this situation, she’s angry and sometimes she makes stupid decisions but she still fights because she doesn’t want to die. The family does this as more than a tradition too. They do it because their ancestor literally made a deal with the devil for money and power and in order to keep it they have to play a game. It was also pretty funny.
This movie is so underrated it's bloody, suspenseful and funny with a masterful performance by Samara Weaving.
If that's the family's version of Hide and Seek then I wonder what the other games would be like if she had gotten a different card.

Also, The Bride did exactly what you're supposed to do in that situation: run like hell straight at the shooter. It also helped Emily's family was directly in line of fire. The Bride should also have grabbed the gun, but it was probably out of ammo anyway.

This was the only movie where the girl actually does everything to survive where she gets to fight back, ends up really hurt but still goes on and still fucking badass. The ending was sick🔥 my new fav movie💞

What do you mean!? When was she badass, She's spent the whole movie crying and screaming. I literally just finished it and all she has done is knock out a seven year old. She couldn't even finish off the butler didn't even bother taking his shot gun or check if he was dead then Daniel has to save her from the ritual and still only manages to kill the mom, she still finds a way to get caught again, neighs at everyone and then they all explode. The most badass thing she does is spark a dart at the end.
Kept seeing this on my fyp on CZcams but never checked it out until now but I'm 4 years late 😂
Awesome movie! The actors ' performance is on top. Everything is done perfectly! I recommend it for viewing.

no hawk yes but the “dark joke” is that she shot the maid looking for the bride so haha what an idiot that’s funny. But then she sprays and prays and almost kills her own family members... And THEN she kills yet another maid with a crossbow bolt that she wasn’t even seriously aiming?! In her defense that was probably bad luck and it’s an old crossbow with loose parts n shit but damn. At this point she should just sit it out with no weapon cuz she’s proven that weapons in her hands leads to disaster. And as someone who feels gun and weapon safety are very important, I can’t find her character likeable or funny after two more fuckups lmao

I thought I saw everything in the trailer. But I was wrong when I watched this in cinema. It was insanely suspenseful and thrilling. And the best part was the ending which give you an awful surprise.
