I was born in 79, Bedstuy Brooklyn. I grew up along side hip hop, Milk D, slick Rick, I saw many of the early rappers chilling with the real original gangsters on my block and in my hood. I LOVED THIS INTERVIEW. Freddy was SUPER IMPORTANT TOWARDS THE GROWTH AND PROMOTION OF HIP HOP. AND FREDDY IS LIKE A WALKING HISTORY BOOK. THANK YOU FOR CONNECTING THE PORTION REGARDING THE GROWTH OF WEST COAST RAP IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE ALREADY ESTABLISHED EAST COAST RAP WHERE IT STARTED.

Fab 5 Freddy was a staple in hip hop culture for my whole life. He was just cool and you feel like he wouldn't do nobody any wrong and could give you game. He is a true icon that everyone needs to know about. He has touched every piece of culture. He needs a documentary about his life. So many stories. Great long overdue interview!!!
Fab 5 Freddy is the epitome and personification of hip. He appears to still be authentically himself yet still aware and engaged with the now and embracing of the future.
I loved when he spoke about Amapiano, this guy really has the zeitgeist at his finger tips.

I love these old school interviews! It really teaches the foundation, legacy, breadth, and width of Hip Hop. It shows us that every era is a moment in and reflection of time. I pray the artist of today and tomorrow develop a desire to know what came before them and made it possible for them to do what they do!!

Germany 1994, my family got cable tv finally. I could watch MTV from the UK now and they had Yo! on every Sunday. I had to watch every week and later recorded the sound to tape and listened to that all the time. Fab 5, Dre and Ed, thank you for those times 🙏

I saw that Warhol documentary. I wish they had so they can ask how he felt about Andy going IN about Basquiat's drug issues...but brushed over his studio 54 friends and NEVER even mentioned their drug issues. He was jealous. And also had a crush.

Man it’s always the ones I didn’t even plan on watching that end up being my favorite interviews.
This is a nice interview, great waves have been made along the way, we should avoid though taking 'three steps forward' then 'one or two steps back' where we can if actual progress is being passed. A Hip Hop alliance/union that serves artists for the same artists would be beneficial for us that is necessary for more than Hip Hop alone
