I respect Lai Addiz; he is a bundle of talent. To set the record straight, it is not a crime for a musician not to know how to write songs. Contrary to some people's beliefs, God gives us talents differently. As for me, I write songs, sing, and play percussion.
Secondly, it is good, moral, and legal to give credit to the source of any song. In fact, in the modern-day music industry, the songwriter is entitled to a percentage of the benefits of the final song.
However, I wish I could meet Mr. Addiz in person for my musical project.

But Dele Taiwo, in an interview to mark his 40th birthday in 2017 credited a certain Love Shobiye as the person who discovered him and introduced him to professional juju music. How come Lal Addis was not mentioned? Still the same issue Addis was saying about artistes not wanting to acknowledge inspiration, or even contributors, to their stardom fear of "losing face", it is simply gross! Well done again, Agbaletu, you're really great!

I like Lai Adis. I remember Nautical, and I bought the cassette. That being stated, Lai's history about guitar in Fuji was wrong, uninformed, and self-serving. Agbada Owo used guitar in Fuji in the seventies (75/76). In Fuji Marbles of Alaraagbo - former members of GKA - there's a possibility that they experimented with guitar. Lai Adis wasn't the first to introduce guitar into Fuji. Not even close: that makes me skeptical of some of his other claims.
