The black cat was the perfect "accessory " to that look! Thank you for not editing him/her out of the video 🐈⬛🥰
A cat will always elevate your style.
...play around with it... 😊
@@wendyspiesman992 ok okl99kl
That was so cute 🐈⬛
Oh my ...that cat deserves to be paid 😁he just came in and posed, he was just a perfect piece of that puzzle. Job well done black cat you've earned it 👍💓
The "basic" with a twist is one of the best ways to improve your wardrobe.
Beautiful! I learned many of these amazing tips over 40 years ago when I lived with my aunt in Costa Rica. She enjoyed paging through fashion magazines, sewing and making her niece look and feel not only beautiful, but happy with my appearance and confident about the way I dressed. She had no daughters, so I was her model. She enjoyed dressing me up and teaching me all about fashion. She knew what was chic and what was not so chic. She was beautiful, authentic, caring and amazing, and I have never lost the lessons and values she instilled in me.
All my life, people have complimented my style. Some asked if I was a model; others asked where I bought my clothes. I’d smile and thank them. It made me feel good, as it should.
You remind me of my aunt, and are an amazing young lady! You’re bringing such a helpful inspiring message that is really going to have an impact on thousands of lives.
Not every young lady is privileged to learn the six tips that you shared. Many young women are living in unfortunate circumstances where they don’t have a mentor to show them what is chic and what is not! I know many and I feel honored to share your message. Thanks again!
The black look is not complete without a matching cat. 3:10
Soo cute!
She couldn't have timed that better. 😂
I love when people's cats make cameos in their videos.
Adorable!
Truth 🐈⬛
I have to tell you, the structured bag was a GAME CHANGER. Last time I went shopping I grabbed a structured bag and held it up against my outfit in the mirror and was simply SHOCKED at how it elevated my whole look! Now when I go thrifting I look for structured bags to add to my wardrobe. Thank you!
A little black cat goes with everything.
So true ❤️
Beautiful accessory 🐈⬛
I agree
The boatneck looks fantastic on you!
I agree! I was so hoping she would have tagged where she purchased it from. It looked beautiful on her.
I couldn’t agree more with the shoe tip! They definitely make or break an outfit
I'm still looking for good shoes. Shoes often make my outfit fail.
@Jj K same! After three kids..my style has changed and the need for practical and stylish is necessary now. I have started transitioning..but still have work to do! Good luck to you
Shoes are my absolute weakness. I absolutely love Audrey's black with, ?, floral pattern, kitten heels in this video so much. Have been searching for similar for ages to no avail though 🙁
I used to think that I couldn't wear boat neck because it emphasized my broad shoulders but after watching Audrey, I'm learning to embrace my broad shoulders. Thank you Audrey!!
Yes! I have broad shoulders and have always loved the boat neck! It looks very classy.
I think the worst neckline for me is a deep and wide scoop neck -- I can go deep, or I can go wide, but never both! haha
I think hoops could be substituted with diamond studs or perls. Obviously it doesn't need to be real diamonds😉. I am currently absolutely in love with them. They can be round or square, big or small, whatever I'm in the mood for. For a long time, I didn't like the way hoops made me feel and now that it's getting better, I still prefer big, very thin ones... I do agree they are classy... But I do think perls and 'diamonds' belong to the same category.
I think more broadly having a classic but catching earring which works for you is more ideal. This video seems more tailored to her own tastes vs. something more widely applicable. A better title might be "Tips I use to Always Look Chic". Great to have both sides, but definitely a bit of a distinction.
For me it's "when in doubt, add pearls." My pearl earrings are a staple and are my favorite way to improve my outfit. A fun video could be how to find your staple earrings
Same for me! When in doubt I wear pearl ear rings ...... either studs or dangling.
Finding staple earrings really has a lot to do with your face shape. Since my face is pretty round, hoops are a no go for me.
I like to go with black pearls for my pearl look. They’re usually grey rather than black, but they have and understated elegance combined with being a twist on a classic.
@@hennahannnah Like your idea of wearing black pearls as an understated elegance.
@@hennahannnah I might have to try more black pearls, white ones can sometimes look a bit 'grandma-ish' on me, depending on the style. Black might look a bit more modern.
Ah, another video from "The voice". I feel like I'm being hugged. By a voice!
Her voice is so pleasant!
I know, right?
I had to do a double take with your comment because at first, I thought you were talking about the reality show (The Voice) xD
Me too!
@@amyhoover9 Haha yeah, I thought about that too. But rather a do-over of the nickname Jamie Lee Curtis got. "The body" :-)
I loved how you showed the difference that a small bag can make to the overall look, compared to the large bag. And the Green bag was divine, loved it
You mentioned second hand shopping. I would love I video where you show us what you look for in a thrift store.
I cant remember exactly but i recall her talking about that once before. I think she talked about fabric quality and thrifting can show the longevity of an object since its been washed many times so you can tell if its junk. I dont remember if she said that exactly or if its just something i myself go by
I am at an age where I need to change my look to something fun but chic. Audrey this was perfect thank you.
I love most of your ideas, however the high ponytail doesn't work with everyone's hair or hairline. Perhaps as use "high ponytail" as an example of "casual up do". (Also, I remember I gave up high ponytails because they often gave me headaches.) For a "casual up do", I prefer hair sticks. You can find well made hair sticks at t variety of price points. You can use sticks in a variety of ways. I have fine hair which means most hair ornaments do not stay in. However by inserting the sticks when my hair was slightly damp, the sticks stayed in place all day. Then I loved just pulling the sticks and shaking my head to have my hair cascade down in a soft wave. Because the chignon or twist I held in place with sticks was close to my head, I did not get headaches for the hair pulling on my temples.
Like the ones that were used in Asian cultures? I have the same problem than you with type of hair and headache with pony tails. So I want to try what you suggested.
Try hair clips with a base of moveable metal. I only bear them in my hair. The upside can be anything fitting to what you wear, but the clip itself holds my hair without pulling it, the moveable part keeps it in its place like a spring without sliding down.
@@Paulina-ku3pe not necessarily. Mine are acrylic and only 5 inches long but i had them custom cut to that because my hair is fine and i use it for work. I dont want fancy ultra long sticks but its the users preference. I found stick styles on CZcams searching stuff for long hair.
@@Paulina-ku3pe I have also tried this with knitting needles haha, worked a charm!
I've done this with pencils and chopsticks too when I was in a pinch
Excellent tips, Audrey ! What you said was so thoughtful and on point. The accessories are gorgeous! Always very chic!!!
Thank you for this! I was totally feeling stuck in a rut and I watched this as I was getting ready this morning. Feeling fresh and inspired!
Your style tips are what I haven't heard before from a you tube stylist and so helpful for me I'm sure for all of us here!
I love how you touched on all pieces of our wardrobe.
Love your style! including the beautiful plants, furniture and street scapes... a lovely experience!
An elegant bag makes such a difference - especially for petites! Thank you for your tips and I loved your outfits!
You make chic seem effortless! Thank you for sharing! I will keep watching!
Looking chic are fabulous!
Please do more videos like this! The side-by-side comparison with the bags was 🤯. I love your black kitty! Do you have good shoe recommendations? I’m tired of buying poorly-made shoes, I think I might invest in a good pair, taking a top from the style of an Italian woman (good shoes!!). I don’t even know where to start... I hear Geox is a good Italian brand?
CZcams brought this video through my feed, and I’m instantly smitten with your advice, style sense and very soothing voice!
Cheers From Sunny Las Vegas 💕
Same here!!!!!
Beautiful,timeless classics! ❤️
What a beautiful and practical video full of things we can all do. I love the bag suggestion. Everything is so doable. Thank you sooooo much. ❤❤❤
Omg! Your voice is so relaxing! So good to hear!
Audrey Hepburn is my style icon, and you're the Audrey of our times! Though I'm tall and much older, so not all of your looks translate to my body, I love all of your outfits. They suit you perfectly. ❤️
Same!
I agree. When .I turned around 45 (I just turned 70), I decided that if Audrey Hepburn wouldn’t wear it neither would I. I has worked well for me.
@@kathleenclark5877 oh, that’s a great way to look at it!
Christina: when I had a decorator come in to remodel my bathroom the brief was Paris hotel, sort of Art Deco and Audrey Hepburn. He understood what I meant and I got it , well, because HE got it! Givenchy with bathroom taps.
@@kathleenclark5877 you and I would get along!
"Wardrobe curation" is such a great phrase! I want to go shopping with you😊
Love the bag tips and the hoops input!! Thanks Audrey!!!
I love your videos. So helpful.
You always look effortlessly elegant and seem to be a truly sweet person.
A joy to watch!
Her voice is so relaxing it's almost ASMR
She has a video where she talks about how to improve your speaking voice. I think she is a classically trained singer so that probably explains it :)
My daughter, a hair stylist, wore her hair in a wavy ponytail for her wedding; so casually elegant.
Yes please...more wardrobe tips, they are so helpful
Basics with a twist, perfect advice! The boat-neck top looks gorgeous on you, makes such a difference to a regular round neck. In fact you look wonderful in all your outfits so you definitely know what you are talking about, inspirational. I l particulary love the jeans you are wearing, I'm trying to update my jean styles at the moment to a more modern & lasting look. Thank you, and love your cat!
Love the ideas in your theme vids, Audrey. Always food for thought.
Love love love your fashion style, so relax, classy and timeless.🥰
Lovely video, Audrey. Getting that chic, put together look is so important for a classic yet elegant look. Thanks for all your tips. x
I’m so glad I found your channel!! Your style is what I aspire mine to be like, and we are similar height which makes your outfit ideas especially pertinent to me. Love these tip videos too 💕

This was fantastic as always. Thank you!!
I love the video but the peace your voice gives me is everything❣
This video was extremely helpful to me. Thank you, Audrey for your inspiration. 👍🏼
I enjoyed your video. Your tips and styles are suitable for all ages. Thanks from an over 60years in Australia
So enjoy your suggestions. Thank you!
“Intentional” is the best word for wardrobe curation.
This was quite insightful and helpful, just like all your other videos. Thank you so much!
Doing any of these definitely makes getting dressed more fun, too. Thanks, Audrey! 😁❤️🌞
The staples with a twist is so true! Im finishing college so I started to fix my closet (i had clothes from when i was in school so yeah) and I followed the lists they give at first but what's staple for some, is not really for others, i got the white button up and white tshirt and NEVER wear that, but i also got flowy orange pants and a stripped beatle and dude, staples, i use them with everything, is crazy how as you discover your style, you start to see your "own" closet staples
(Also, the white tshirt i gave to my sister and once winter is over i will try to play around with the white button up, so no clothes waste)
Love your style and ideas as well as your sweet kitty! Makes you so human!
Such a helpful video! Thanks a lot! I would definitely love to see more of these kind of videos :)
Great video, I also love both your interior and exterior backdrops, stunning.
Plus, including the phrase, functional footware, is great advice!
I am finding your videos extremely helpful and I loved seeing a cameo from your kitty. Thanks for putting this out there
Great advice ❤️your cat is adorable
I love the fact that the wee cat is clearly saying,”Mum! Mum! Forget what you are doing. Pay attention to ME!”
I’d love to see more videos like this one. Great tips! Thank you. 😊
Would love to know the items you used-especially shoes and scarves. You got me started with Sabina Savage and now I have 7! I love having basics and then adding interesting accessories. Thanks for inspiring me.
You’re so wonderful…thank you for your dedication to style. I’m a big fan👍🏻😊❤️
Love these videos Audrey. Thank you. ☀️
Always so chic! Thanks Audrey!
Stunning video but the cat stole the show :-)
Great style tips Audrey!
I loved this video. The tips are beautiful and very simple to follow. Thank you!
And yes, I would be interested in watching more like this.
I love your soft voice and your calm attitude. 💖 Also really good tips! 👌
Thank you for your tips, I'm petite and in my early 60's ....the tips come in handy.
Hello Audrey! I have been hearing that traditional button down cardigans aren't in any more. In general, I'm wondering what the forecast is for sweaters of any type for 2021/2022 and wonder if you could address that. Thanks for your consideration.
Ok this is great! I’ve been getting more classic, I’m more down to earth classics or not as polished but this is all going to help me keep it simple and the hoops are a yes gonna try this, the bag point is right on, love it!! Your style is so gorgeous on you and I’m going to play off of it down a beat!!! Thanks so much!
I love this! Great outfits and I agree with a high ponytail and hoops. 😀 Kitty wanted to be in the spotlight too, so cute!
Love this thank you for making this!
I have a pixie cut so a ponytail won’t work 🤣 I wouldn’t mind suggestions on how I can vary my hair style. Great tips all around. Thank you 😊 Yes please make more of these types of videos. Little tweaks can help make a big change.
First time watching and I enjoyed it very much, love your style!
Thanks for sharing these tips!
GREAT WORK ! GOD BLESS YOU!!
Wonderful tips!! I love your style 🥰
Hi Audrey, I was struggling to find a white button up to suit my petite hourglass figure. They just didn't look right on me, no matter what I tried. So as a last resort I decided to try a tailored white cotton collarless shirt. Perfect! It just looks, in my opinion, 'put together'. I am no longer self conscious when wearing this wardrobe staple. It's so versatile too. Loved this video 😊🤍
I used to dress like you and then I smashed up my knee in a car accident years ago and exercise is painful since. Sigh. I'm now very overweight, I can't wear anything but flats and I envy you your style. It's just not the same dressing an overweight body. I'm not saying you should cater to bigger women, just that I'm envious of your youth and good figure. Never take it for granted. And never say, as you get older, "it's only 5 pounds, I'll take that off easily" It's really not easy to take off. Have a wonderful day.💗
So true.
Praying for your healing and recovery!
Do you have high blood pressure.. trauma can mess with you.. check for Hyperaldosteronism/ Conn…
@@speaktruth9313 No. If anything, my blood pressure is on the low side. But I have a lot of pain from injuries, even after decades.
@@StephBer1 so sorry this has happened to you… wish we could make you feel better..

Excellent tips! Love the cat too!
Great video thank you Audrey. Agree with your shoe tips, I like and prefer wearing midi heels and pumps. Love your shoes...remain blessed xxx
Hi Audrey, Thank you.....I love this kind of content!
Well-done! Thanks!
I love your cat ❤️
You look great and have such a sweet voice. I’m 5’3” too, and appreciate the styling tips!
This video is perfection, Audrey Hepburn. Beautiful and very very helpful. You look fantastic!
Hi Audrey. Yes I love this video and would like to see more. I really adore your spats. I used to have a pair but then donated them. I wish I would have kept them. Great tip about the ponytail. Great video.
Great looks and lovely cat 😻😻😻
Building your outfit from bottom to top is such a good idea in general actually. One generally has less shoes than bottoms, less bottoms than tops, and less tops than accessories, so you can start with the most restrictive part. Shoes in my experience always have to be at the same time comfortable, suitable for the weather and fit for the occasion, which leads to very poor variety in my closet.
Sometimes for me I feel like a certain pair of shoes. Maybe my crisp white new sneakers or if I know it will rain then my Dr Martens. That way, I can go "oh these boots with black jeans ok what colour do I want to add on top? Ah I feel like green today ok let's pick one of my green tops I think the cosy soft striped one"
