Love that Aasimar build! If I were to think of strong one off the top of my head, I might go with Earth Genasi for their ability to ignore difficult terrain. Getting a free cast of Pass Without Trace also frees up a prep spot as well.
@@bluedragonguild I don’t know how the others hold up, but a big motivator for going Moon Druid is tanking out in your beefed up Wild Shape. One of the most important things about tanking is movement and position so this popped in my head 😂
@JnJake I’ve done a quick review and Earth Genasi is definitely the best option of the elemental folk. But you bring up an excellent point on the mobility issue, you need to be able to get where you’re going if you’re going to be useful!!
I literally just finished a campaign playing a "Gummi Bear" plasmoid moon druid! Best character concept I ever came up with and played, he was so much fun! I also gave him Mask of many faces with a feat so he could mimic humanoids. Also RAW you retain your racial features in wildshape so technically the build works without any special DM permission.
That is awesome! Taking Mask of Many Faces is an excellent idea! It sounds like you had a ton of fun with this character! And you are correct, we’ve just interpreted the line “…if the new form is capable of doing so” differently. But I’m all for it! 😄
Even though it makes since… the animals don’t get proficiency in armor. However if you go mountain dwarf. You can get profficiency in heavy armor. Only thing is can’t wear metal… so… ueah😊
That is a really fun idea! And technically there is no game mechanic that prevents them from wearing heavy armor! At least in 5E. We have a Druid/Cleric combo in one of our games who wears heavy armor. So I say go for it!
@@bluedragonguild now how do you convince the dm to get you the armor? Do you don it in wild shape? then unwildshape, so it’s on the wildshape not the person?
@phillyeagle5611 I would probably rule that it would need donned after wildshaping. Might have to some of that enchanted armor that “auto-equips”. (I don’t remember the name of it right now). But I’d just talk with your DM about your idea and see if there is an arrangement you can reach!
I like when the DM allows for your Dragonborn breath weapon to work in wildshape form!

Eladrin can come in handy. However, there's something interesting about Loxodon & their Trunk.
Eladrin are really great! And Loxodon just sounds like a blast! Lots of RP potential there.
