According to my measurements, the Equinox 800 uses only 3 three frequencies simultaneously. Roughly 8, 18 and 40 kHz These frequencies vary slightly but not by much on each of the park, field and beach modes. The manual talks about different biases on different frequencies for different settings. I designed advanced detectors in the late 1960s early 70s. 👍

Is the 11" heavier and if you know how much heavier is it? I can't find details of it online. I'm changing from the Legend as i have a horrific bad back and limiting me to how many hrs i can bear in the day. Cheers, Sam
Hey man have u ever thought about maybe covering different metal detectors and how to set them up so a person can get the most out of their machine I use a vanquish 540 which is a pretty good detector but i would luv to know I am getting the most out of my machine
The only thing I’d question is silencer, for me personally it needs to be on the first segment, just so it eliminates the tiny deep iron from giving a positive audio 👍🏻, but other than that matey I think we’re about cock on . Oh, and programme 2 sensitive , is for me the programme I use in the main and makes adjustments from . Good luck matey 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

That ground balance technique is a lot like gary’s sonar program but that’s a new technique to find out where to put the GB. Thanks

The 11” isnt heavy as such but the 9” coil is sooooo light, i would say go for the 9” its a pleasure to swing and super light overall 👍🏼👍🏼

Yeah thats sound but if your in a hot area drop it to zero as to have more chance getting the targets close to and amongst iron
