    I buy the Loreal Tru Match Lumi and put it into the Loreal Lumi Cushion when it gets low because I like the convenience and the fact that I can just dip my beauty blender in.

      The formula for both foundations are actually different interestingly enough. Quick tip, once you feel that you've finished the cushion, use a pair of tweezers and flip the sponge. The foundation ends up sinking towards the bottom and all the product is saturated on the other side of the sponge. I hope this helps c:

    • @hayleythees

      I really don't see much of a difference in the formula. But thanks for the tip! :)

      Kirstin Frosheiser I am a makeup addict and had to stop myself. My goal was no eyeshadow, foundation, powders, setting spray etc... unless I really need it un5il Summer. What happens. I got a 25$ gift card for Shopper Drug Mart from my darling from his Mom. What did I get? an eyeshadow quad with beautiful purples by Quo for 24$ BOL. .My sweetie is so bad he encourages me. He said to think of it being a pretty special quad gift from his Mom! lmao. I must stop.hahaha

      Kirstin Frosheiser I'm the same way! I have so much makeup, a lot that I never even reach for, but I can't make myself give it up. I go through everything at least once a month and give stuff to my cousin and sister, but honestly it's usually stuff I didn't want from my Subscription boxes or samples I've got from Sephora and Ulta. My husband constantly tells me I should start a channel. Especially since I spend 70% of my time watching CZcams videos. It's seriously something to think about sometimes. At least then I could justify my addiction, right? Lol.

    • @rosiellagrace
      @rosiellagrace Před 7 lety

      Allyson Wonderland if you're looking for cruelty free options, I say give the 'Yes To' lines and 'Formula '10.0.6' a try.. I've had some hits and misses, but the 'Yes To' coconut and tomatoe lines have some products that are now in my forever skincare arena - they're awesome. I haven't tried a lot but Ulta does do the buy one, get one half off of the 'Formula '10.0.6' a LOT so you can essentially get two products for ten bucks; can't beat that to try them! The cucumber / coconut mask [can't remember the name, they have some odd names to remember] is amazing and I love their 'Be Berry Ready' cleanser for mornings, it's really gentle and smells super yummy!!
      Sorry, I know this is kinda old but I've really been into skincare lately and it's hard to find good cruelty free options.. ELF does have some good ones, though; their gentle melt cleanser replaced my Pond's cold cream, and I've used Pond's for almost 20 years, LOL on and off, I'm not ancient but it was my ma-maw's favourite and I've used it all my life. I never thought I'd find a cruelty free eye makeup remover I loved as much, and if you only use the ELF one for eye makeup then it's not too badly priced.

      Michelle JKB THANKS! GOTTA TRY IT! I've been avidly searching out drugstore BB Creams, and not a single one has been right with my dry skin! My Target is undergoing a huge remodel, so right now, they're not ordering anything new, OR even replacing items they ALWAYS carry that are sold out. Very frustrating. But, am going to larger city with a MUCH bigger Target on Tuesday 1/24, so will ABSOLUTELY make time to stop in and check it out. Again Michelle JKB, thank you SO much for the info!

    • @Michelle-zh4rx
      @Michelle-zh4rx Před 7 lety +2

      Amy M. Fry ahh I'm glad I can help :) i noticed something different right away when I was there yesterday and I was like what are these! They are by the boots section, in the "cult favorites" section.
      Use target online to see what target they are at while you travel. They have all 5 shades online, it's the red tube like was in this video, and you can check to see if it's in store.
      They also had the time revolution first treatment essence spray and night serum and the regular day serum. And the time revolution first treatment essence mask. It's a dual mask that is triple layers (it has the chin part that lifts under your chin up and helps reduce double chin). I picked up two of those cause these masks are awesome. They also had a pore hydration stick? I don't know what that is and all the instructions were not in English, I need to look it up. Their Korean beauty section has really expanded!
      Glad I could help :)

    • @cornellfoodie

      I agree with Arielle - it's thicker when you initially apply it and a very little amount almost magically blends super thinly to give you really great coverage. A brush works infinitely better than a Beautyblender for this purpose.

    All those Missha products are also available directly from Amazon in Prime. Comes in 2 days from Amazon...not those funky Amazon sellers. I've had that burgundy tube of BB cream for the last year and I swear it's the best thing ever. Like it even better than the IT Cosmetics CC cream. Similar coverage, similar great skincare ingredients, similar SPF and like half the price. Biggest challenge is that it's a Korean beauty brand, so obviously they are only interested in colors for their demographic. So nothing for people with dark skin tones. Amazon is also GREAT with beauty returns, so if you want to try a shade and don't like it, they will do returns/exchanges so easily.

    Try Sand Beige in the Revlon Colorstay. Also, I love the covergirl clean matte bb cream from the drugstore as well as the garnier bb for combo/oily skin.

    I thought this was a great declutter. It shows you've been thoughtful about the foundations you add to your collection to begin with! I remember watching an old foundation declutter of yours and you didn't feel super positive about many of them it's great to see you grow into knowing what you truly want in makeup. Also you were awesome about keeping things for good reason. Foundation is tough because when you find something *right* it's a big deal but you still need to cover your bases as far as coverage levels and seasons etc. where as say blush is easier to let go over because 10 other brands make basically the same one. No two foundations are the same.

    I just discovered the L'Oréal lift and blur less than a month ago but it's amazing on me. I have textured skin from severe acne in my teen years and this just works so well for me. So many foundations draw attention to my uneven texture and this just makes the best out of a crappy skin situation. Nothing will ever make my skin smooth outside so laser treatments or something. I loved it so much I ran out and bought more because it was half price at my Rite Aid.

    Thank you for taking the time to swatch on a declutter video. We have similar skin tones and it is very helpful. I checked out the Boots No 7 foundation after you recommended it in a recent video. Idk about all locations but my local Target had it on clearance. I was hesitant to try something I possibly couldn't repurchase. I have been on the hunt for about a year to find something I really love. Still looking. This was helpful. Thank you!

    Don't be too hard on yourself. You don't have to be cut throat all of the time :) Feel good in knowing that you're holding on to things that you truly love and work for you. Hey, if you find yourself not using a couple in the upcoming months you can always re-evaluate your decision and let it go then. The fact that you're pairing down in the first place is an awesome thing for any of us makeup lovers to be able to do. You definitely always do way better than I can even aspire to do.

    I was just sent an IT cosmetics collection (QVC) that included the IT cushion foundation. It is INCREDIBLE!!! I use a brush instead of the puff that comes with it around my nose and eyes. It looks like I don't even have makeup on, and it feels like my SKiN! For more coverage (or matte look) I use my Laura Geller powder foundation on top. (I also have a terrible time finding my color at Cliniique)

    I'm loving the IT Cosmetics CC cream too! Right now I'm trying out the Smashbox BB and Tarte's Rainforest of the Sea. I think we're pretty similar in skintone, and I wear the shade 200 nude in the Revlon Colorstay. When you finish your IT CC Illuminator, if you want that same touch of glow, mix something like Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfector with the regular CC. That's what I did today, and I really liked it.

    Great to see you loving my favorite Korean brands - both Missha and Dr.Jart :) I love their products but they sell it more expensive in the States so I end up stocking up on my "necessities" whenever I visit Korea.
    Also a little tip when using cushion foundations (anything in cushion in general) the sponges do soak up products but if you keep pouncing on your face even if you think you have put all the product you initially got on the sponge on your face, you will still see something coming out. Those sponges are designed that way (at least as far as I know) so you actually don't need to keep putting the sponge back to the cushion.
