I love how the Spartans aren’t exactly prone. Laid flat. On their backs. They were still somewhat holding themselves up. Just shows how much they truly didn’t give up even at the very end.

And how much Halo Infinite shits on the established lore. When a Spartan vitals go to zero, the reactor selfdestructs to destroy the armor and deny any enemy the possibilty to research the armor.

Not just with other Spartans but with anyone he considers a comrade or brother/sister in arms... which is why the transition from the Pelican to the Banished ship to be one of my favourite cutecenes from a choreography perspective.
After reading Rubicon Protocol this hits even harder. These Spartans went though absolute HELL without Chief around. Stone herself took on Jega and a Bloodstar Brute by herself and still sabotaged data they were already carrying, the whole time half her armor was fried.
right! what an amazing book! also, Kovan, Dimik and Bender were really going to die if verdity wouldn't save them. Kovan really had luck, she almost followed Stone's footsteps

They were Spartan IV's but still kicked massive ass with the latest MJOLNIR armor, all the combat they went through, & their Spartan IV augmentations all combined
Yeah Spartan 4 weren't assigned numbers because they joined as adults who were already soldiers unlike 2s and 3s who conscriptef as kids and teens

During the part with spartan griffin your controller vibrates to his heartbeat and it slowly faded away as he died
I’ll admit, until this game, I didn’t like the S-IV’s. they walked around with this cocky swagger that didn’t feel deserved, and it was easy to believe that any S-II could break one of them in half like a Twix bar. It’s only now that you remember most of them were veterans and special forces members before they became Spartans, and we see exactly what it takes to kill them: if not an ex-silent shadow assassin, then an entire company of Covenant that will go down to bullets grenades and a FUCKING SCREWDRIVER. Now I get why Chief has respect for them, and why he sees them as fellow Spartans 🫡

And he was injured by an energy sword even before that fight, he advanced a considerably distance and fought a lot of brutes and elites before his death.
He took one down with a screwdriver, no wonder he’s a special weapon expert
Yeah Sorel is my favorite of the dead mfs cause he had a screwdriver in his hand implying it was his weapon in the end.
I just can't help but imagine how he fought off waves after waves of enemies with rifles, pistols, knives, bricks, screwdriver and whatever was available.

There's still a good number of Spartans alive , they're just getting rid of the 4s to make them as rare as 2s
there is actually one alive in the audio logs, we don't find there spartan armor feature but there name is tomas horvath
Spartan Jaide Horvath and Rosado from the audio logs are still alive. Spartan Kovan and vettel are also presumed alive but we don’t know yet
We have Spartan Jerome the second bad ass to Chief
by the time infinite ends, there are still 14 active spartan 2s, red, blue and grey team, i think omega team is also active, along with a few solo spartans. there should be atleast triple the amount of alive spartan 3s. and ofcourse plenty of spartan 4s but idk how many because they have been getting cleaned up the past 3 games lol.
Even if they're just Spartan IVs you can tell the chief still cares about them like he would any of his Spartan II squadmates

I love that Chief doesn't scoff at the IV's. He treats them like they're just as much his brothers and sisters as Blue Team. Be more like Chief.
Just seeing Chief showing compassion and gentleness with the Spartan's bodies and his revered comments speaks volumes.
Even if Cortana didn't think much of the Spartan IVs Chief here is treating them just as any other Spartan II that he's served with that has gone MIA. Which tells me that to Chief they ARE Spartans, and they are more brothers and sisters he has to add to his MIA list.
I'm just gonna admit it, I cried at every seeing every Spartan, its not just losing a brother in arms, its like losing a part of something greater. They were special, really special.

Spartan Theo didn't go down quietly. The fact that he or she has a screwdriver in hand means he or she fought those brutes with everything that was left to use.
He takes the death of every one of his Spartans so personally. They are his brothers and sisters, after all.
Imagine these dead spartans are later being controlled by the flood.

Man I love the Halo universe so much, I didn't play all the games cause money was always hard to come by and stuff, but watching the full games off of GLP and hearing the audiobooks, reading bits of the books and watching the lore videos
I fucking love virtually every iteration of Spartans for what they can represent, from children so blind to the indoctrination they underwent, orphans so blind in rage they would willingly throw themselves in the hundreds for the chance to rip apart covenant with their bare hands to their current iterations flying dangerously close to the metaphorical sun to then begin their slow descent through the murky skies with the current conflicts
I admit, I initially was apprehensive with what they did with the personalities of the Spartan-IVs and I didn't like how it felt like 343 was sorta sweeping the IIs and IIIs under the rug outside of blue team, but I also believe this is a great time to begin to start a story of a passing of the torch , maybe even a regression in mentality (going back to taking disparaged children or indoctrinating people into fractured husks) in light of increasing conflicts. It's great that we're maintaining the "unbreaking will" aspect of Spartans, but what made them so interesting to me was that they were people that were more like empty husks trying to understand norms that were so different from theirs, like machines that were so fractured internally they couldn't even begin to fathom what was wrong with them until the right events happened and they started getting their older memories jogged
I loved the time of Halo Legends especially, where there was plenty of "more recent" shows portraying indoctrinated people trying to make sense of their "fragments", like the Spartan - IIs with their flash clones and I really really want to see some of that kind of stuff coming back again, a very broken and gritty concept

With the release of the Halo Encyclopedia came new Spartan Bio-Metric Information, combining this with the Bio-Metric Information garnered from the Official Spartan Field Manual and other game pre-release sources we finally have a clearer picture of the Bio-Metric standings of each class safe for the original Orion candidates of whom we only have 1 example of which is Avery Johnson.
(Before beginning I would like to clarify that the height data presented in both passages (Halo Encyclopedia and Official Spartan Field Manual) are Mjolnir Armored and SPI Armored height ranges but that luckily we are able to convert that into their baseline augmented height as we know mjolnir makes an operator 9.7 centimeters taller than their base height and while SPI is not as bulky as Mjolnir does possess a similar baseline framework and components.)

One thing i really appreciate about this game especially having read a couple of the books is how chief takes a moment to respect the fallen soldiers around him. In the books, chief takes the deaths of marines and especially Spartans around him very personally

I would like to know if red team, the rest of blue team, and fire team Osiris is still alive or not because I’ve heard they’re dead as well, slayed by the Spartan slayer.
I do know that Osiris disbanded after H5, but Locke is alive and well on the ring (at least according to the audio logs) and Blue Team is still kicking too, and I'm fairly sure they're also on a separate portion of the ring from Chief, so there is potential to see them in the game eventually. As for Red Team, I actually have no clue but they're by far the ones I want to see the most.

Blue team is alive, in the latest book they were deployed to Reach to pick up Veta Lopis and her Ferret Team, so they weren’t here when Infinity went down
Spartan 2 are hard to kill...while the 3 and 4 are great and all they became cannon fader...they are strong but not as skillful like master Chief
@@donetandreperez9655 spartan 2 kurt 051 says otherwise. he trained the spartan 3s much harder and better than the spartan 2s were ever trained. in terms of pure skill the 3s are up there with the 2s, they were only hampered by weak armor and suicide missions
