This is the OST to Ninja Gaiden for the NES! But in my own form of Stereo! Which spreads the sound channels and adds a bit of echo/reverb. These mixes also do not represent true, original, or actual stereo that the NES has, this is just to make the music sound more clear and crisp, and is another way of listening to the greatness of 8Bit music. So enjoy this soundtrack in what I like to call, WiiGuy's 8Bit Stereo!! :D

As apart of a new 8BitStereo revamp, here is the better version: czcams.com/video/60i63eBYiv8/video.html
Why would you want to unlist this? And why did you change the name to include this tacky line: *OUTDATED, LINK TO IMPROVED VERSION IN DESCRIPTION*?
I feel like this old mix is actually MORE accurate than the new one you published, because back in the NES days, the music was often heard through low-fi speakers on cheap-ish televisions. It had a muffled quality to it. (And while that is a point you can disagree with, I'd still ask you to at least leave these old mixes as they are - no need to hide them.)
What did you change in the new version?
@@DisgruntledDoomer Personal dissatisfaction with these older uploads, and definitely would disagree on that one point as that's more so personal experience. But it's definitely a rash decision to Unlist based on not enjoying seeing how it used to be when it's going to be so much better now. Probably best to wait it out seeing the new and old be compared, guess cus I also said it on an Update Video announcing the new revamp that I had to follow through. But I see now its best to just put the info here at least that this is an older/inferior version and got a better one that can be accessed which I recommend. Thanks for the comment! :)
Before you leap you must look .... Before you look you must think .... Before you think you must feel .... Before you feel you must .... good luck beating this game! :)
Nunchuck Fuck!!!
Chris Johnson "Before you fuck, you must wear proper protection!"
Obsidian Wasp "Before wearing proper protection, you must take off your cloths!"
Maltebyte2 You sound like Miyagi .. Run, use the blade at the exact time and don't jump like fucking Mario Bros. That will do it. If not, well, try again and again and again...
+GΙIłсн SSB4 "Before you take off your cloths, you must undress your girl"
NG1 was cutting edge in several ways. Not only was the music risky, but the way they told the story was too. This was honestly the first wide screen letter boxed footage period be it television, movie or video game, plus they told the story in a theatrical way. This game was a trend setter which many games to this day still emulate.
Unbreakable Determination is
Unbreakable Determination is love, Unbreakable Determination is life.
***** So, which is better: Unbreakable Determination (Ninja Gaiden, NES) or Solitary (Shinobi 3, Sega Genesis)?
its obvious that Castlevania Music: BLOODY TEARS COLLECTION is the best
Ozymandias I definitely can't choose, both are awesome songs. Shinobi 3 is one of my favorite Sega Genesis games and has an AMAZING soundtrack, arguably one of the best on the system.
Ozymandias
Unbreakable Determination has a lot more speed and action going for it. So I personally favor it over Shinobi "Solitary". That being said, Shinobi's soundtrack has songs that top Ninja Gaiden.
They stand back to back the three games I think - The Shinobi and the Ninja Gaiden.
Why am I sitting here at work trying to listen to Pandora when what I really need is some old NES soundtracks!? Ninja Gaiden gets me in the zone every time. My kids wanna know why I am the video game master? It's hours of memorizing where and when the hawks will pop up and the darn machine gun guys on the other side of a pit!
Well said. This game is awesome.
Micheal Pavinski me to lol
You too???
would you say it inspires unbreakable determination in you?
my son is like "how are you so good dad? Me: Son... I grew up with Nintendo difficulty"
Still some of the best video game music I've heard.
*Saaame!!!*
These tracks had great drums for an 8-bit soundfont
That's because they're sampled. Really nothing too special, Mario 2 and 3, Kirby, and plenty of other games were like this
The NES had one sound channel for raw, 1-bit DPCM sample playback, and many games used it for percusion: Super Mario Bros 3, Castlevania 1 and 3, Contra (most konami games did actually), Kirby´s Adventure, and more. Ninja Gaiden, then, wasn´t really being innovative on this matter. However, I wont deny it had had some of the most punchy and powerful snare drum samples there were on the NES.
7:04 = Best video game song ever!
Best NG1 song? Yes.
My favorite tracks:
0:20 Prologue - Part 2: The Letter [Vow of Revenge]
1:11 Pushing Onward [Stages 1-1, 5-2 & 6-3]
14:13 Unbreakable Determination [Stage 4-2]
10:36 Nowhere to Run is another good one [3-2 and 6-2]
11:49 Cutscene: Devilish Influence / Stage 6-4 the best for me...
I remember getting to that boss stage, hearing the music and being like oh FAK
me too man... but so short
0:20
With whom did father have a duel and lose? For what reason did he fight and die? Even I don't know for sure.
The day after he disappeared, in father's room I found a letter addressed to me.
It said, "Ryu, I am on my way to a life or death duel.
If it is destiny that I not return, you are to take the Dragon sword of the Hayabusa family and go to America and see the archaeologist, Walter Smith.
Ryu, be always brave..."
I will get my revenge!
11:49...amazing how 8-bit composers had more genius by catchy melodies and beats than most pop crap on the radio. Thanks for this trip down memory lane.
M Modine The song at 0:21 is a pretty big counterexample though
@@tdark987 That song was meant to give the player a sense of determination after watching the main hero's father die. Not all songs are *meant* to be catchy and upbeat. I take it you haven't played the game before if you aren't able to distinguish a cutscene song from a stage song.
@@chronosanaki5174 That's not what I meant; I actually think it suits the mood of the intro cutscene very well.
I meant that it hardly qualifies as "genius" because the melody is lifted straight from Deep Purple's April. :-P
@@tdark987 Close for sure, inspired by, yeah. Lifted might be a slight stretch. They're close, no doubt. I do think that one part in April definitely inspired the dungeon in the original NES Zelda!
One of the best NES soundtracks ever, really underrated.
"The fight of your life"
Goddam right, the fucking box doesn´t lie to you
1:11 When you hear this, you knew it was on.......
Get ready to hear a lot of 24:48.
Catfish Hunter this is mah favvvvorite
Facts
My NES jam besides Blaster Master and others
@@WillRobinsonDanger Oh God, an absolute classic. I found it hard as all get out back then. Still haven't flipped it.
The Guardian Legend, on the other hand..... 👍
This one of the greatest tracks in video game history
Damn... NES games had better soundtracks compared to games that are released today...
yep i miss the chiptunes classic midi sound digital sounds four waves of sound just epicness indeed man these composers wrote epic chiptune music back in the day
Spicy Burrito yep
So true!
just the restrictions of how many channels you had to work with now video game music sounds like a movie score lol
Completamente de acuerdo contigo, tienes toda la razón... lo digo en serio. :)
I play this game just to listen to the music. Fricken incredible.
yep I would get to 4-2 and then play all of the way up to the free life, kill myself and start over for like 10 or 15 mins lol
Did you know there is a secret sound test on the title screen?
Pretty sure Boss Battle 3:08 goes through my dogs head when I vacuum the floor.
The soundtrack really makes the game. This is one of the best of the era.
12:45 Always loved this part as a kid
Likewise, believe me!
WOW 80's games had such great music tracks....
Sleepless nights waiting to get home from school the next day because I needed to beat Jamaraquai and bang that April lookalike. Tossing and turning, the death jingle prodding my brain.
This was real life.
I remember my first time seeing the intro, the 2 ninjas facing off... it was so cool! Probably my favorite game of all time and the soundtrack... ha! So good!
It was my only NES game and I've played and played, so much so that at some point I could beat it without losing a life.
Man every time I stroll over to Wiiguys music I want to buy a NES again, games like this, a case of Rolling Rock, and just sit down for an evening a play these awesomely hard nostalgic games!!!
Channels like this and angry video game nerd made me go buy a nes clone from a company named gamerztek. Its top loading and works better than my original console.
Beating this game as a kid is the proudest achievement I've ever had as a gamer, but man I forgot how amazing the soundtrack is!
"Seeking Truth" is my all time favorite track f/ this game. I never get sick of it.
Proud 80s baby I'll never forget the first time watching my older brother play this it's been 30 years and I still can't beat this damn game but I've always loved the soundtrack especially the Prologue and when Ryu's father is defeated
Gotta love the tagline "BIGGEST ARCADE HIT!" Much to my surprise the arcade was completely unrelated...
Eric Kelly and the arcade was hardly a hit
such classic shit.
agr33d
indeed try getting a kid to beat the first level lol they will fail for a ps5
Off the rip the first level track used to get me pumped to play. So good.
This game sure as hell broke my determination.
Es un genio el que hizo la composicion de los temas !
The one most memorable video game that made me want to be a bad ass Ninja when I first played it as a kid. After you beat this game the first time, you feel a very great sense of accomplishment and feel as though you really are a Hero Ninja. God Bless You NES Ninja Gaiden, without you I would never know the true meaning of “Unbreakable Determination” 😷🗡
Best video game soundtrack ever!!!
The best of the best of the best, sir! (With honors) :P
This has to be one of the hardest games i have ever beat. Such a ball buster. But even so, the music in this game was just too good to stop playing. They even reward you with the level 4-2 theme ( 14:14) at the end credits. Thank you very much for uploading this amazing soundtrack :D
The the track I came here for. My favorite as a kid
Best quality on CZcams!
Thanks man! Be sure to get the download link version in the description, that version is better than the video! ;3
WAVES of nostalgia. I used to sit in front of TV for hours just listening to this music in the Sound Test mode.
With a limited set of sounds and instruments at their disposal, composers had to think about the melody, rather than complex polyrhythms (overlapping rhythms). Many of these sounds are a good melody, and then there are accompanying channels on top. That's why many 8 bit songs are memorable, and many sound really good, even when orchestrated, or played with an non-digital instrument, because the melody is strong, and then there are good accompanying beats on top.
Sorry for the long post.
one of the best nes soundtrack ever! good old times...
The music is just as well known as the game! :D
With the limits on nes its amazing how memorable some of the best music on it is. Its still good to this day
Wow, the quality of these is incredible, thank you!
One of the best games ever!
beating this game makes you a man xD
must have heard 24:48 at least over 100 times from this game
That's it?
Calbenmike Give or take the other 1000 times, seeing how I blacked out from raging XD
I'm w/ you man.
Stupid birds......
You will most likely be hearing 3:07 before 24:48.
thank you so much for uploading this!
I'm here after listening to the new version, the change is noticeable ... I will always appreciate both versions, it is nice to continue having you after a long time, I would like to hear some ost that you have not yet uploaded in your new version and also in the ancient, for those who are from yesteryear;)
I definitely would love people to check out the new versions more, and compare as they like, but was on the decision to Unlist all the old videos here but I don't think that would be far to all who enjoy the older version of 8BS and to my legacy.
Granted no one showed opposition on the major update video about it which was apart of the main other decision that was going to happen along with the Revamp. But it is best I leave these as is and at least make aware on each old version that a new a preferred version from me is available. I am definitely more happy with the revamp versions but I shall keep these old ones to look back! :)
And most certainly I would love to get a lot of the older stuff redone first then get to soundtracks that never got the first or second iteration of 8BS! :D
@@Nikos8BitStereo Thank you very much for taking the time to respond to my humble comment, I hope you continue for many more years to show us your "visions" of the songs of our childhoods, for me, you will always be a great one (my favorites are those of the Megaman saga, Kunio-kun ( you are missing some haha) and konami in general) Praise the 8bitstereo!
I must've been 8 yeras old when I first found this masterpiece, but It's been over 20 years and I just can't beat this bitch of a game. Such a great game, but holy crap is it hard.
Yeah i cant beat Jaquio... Got close so many times.
I love unbreakable determination but I have no determination in my life.
nxul Me and you are equal lol
+nxul Wtf do you mean with that?
If you beat Ninja Gaiden, Battletoads, Top Gun or Zelda The adventure of Link, you can conquer the fucking world
@@warmecanic I beat link. Zelda made a saving mistake, had little weapons to defeat the last boss. Sticks with me, even now. Ninja Gaiden, that one jump, I could not make. Maybe once.
I remember being over my grandparent's house and my grandfather came in during a cinema scene, and he said "Are you watching a movie?". At the time, this game was very state of the art and the first to really bridge that gulf between a game and a big budget story/film/novel. I was so addicted to it and kept plugging away until I beat it, since the story was so riveting.
God I love this ost. Thanks for putting this up Wiiguy :)
14:13 "intense training music"
I have to agree. No, Seriously!! How the *Hell* isn't there a *Movie* about this game, with *This* song playing during a Rocky 4 style training montage?!?!?
I love that part (song) on 14:14! Awesome!!! I miss my old NES! :(
Thank you sir, for making this available. Because this soundtrack is still beyond awesome.
Devilish Influence sounds amazing in stereo like this, thanks for all the great work WiiGuy
Tecmo was awesome at music! tecmo soccer, tecmo wrestling, this!!
Most certainly, Tecmo are one of the underrated greats of NES music, among many others X3
Ahh.... best song to record onto TDK AD tape ever!
Seeking Truth, Devilish Influence, Foster, and Unbreakable Determination, my favorite songs in the entire game. This entire soundtrack is just awesome!
Thanks for uploading this. I used to love this game back in the day.
8:54 Seeking Truth is absolutely awesome!!
By far my absolute favorite
Recuerdo cuando me decian, las historias de los juegos no tienen sentido
respuesta: "Es que no has jugado ninja gaiden"
Thanks so much for this I've been looking for this in this quality like crazy!!
You're welcome! I even have a more less "reverby" quality coming sometime soon, I have crafted 8BitStereo the best I can for these soundtracks! :D
Glad i was a kid before the internet came out, but Im also glad it is here to tell the tales. Ninja Gaiden--the sound - late 80s - martial arts, was a mad brilliant time. YOU CANT FUKK WITH AWESOME
Click me 14:13. You will love it.
clasicclassical song ninja gaiden
who do not know this song never played nintendo
and had a sad childhood jajajajaj
Soytu papa I disagree. This video game was stupid hard. I had a much happier childhood having avoided this. I played bases loaded. I had FUN. XD
Oh my -- the memories. As a kid, I would play up to this stage, then just put down the controller and dance around the room.
The song is just as good today, still.
So true lol
Luke Sargent I meant it's a classic play. nothing more
does not mean that if you did not play were not happy.
I personally really, Funny greetings
14:13 - Listening to that song fills me with *determination*.
youre doing a great service, WiiGuy. thank you
Thank you so so much. listing to this brought back so many good memories. I am proud to say this is one of the few NES games that I beat. still one of the hardest things I have ever done.
now i wanna play some ninja gaiden
Most of you didn't make it to the epilogue tracks, so you're here to find out what the final music sounded like.
Very accurate, my friend. I still suck horribly at this game to this day.
"You die... You go back!"
hi
many a controller was thrown when that shit happened....
excellent job with the stereo separation and reverb!!! made this soundtrack sound twice as kickass!!
Sounds awesome man! Good clean up work! Much appreciated!
14:13 is EPIC WIN
Yes, and so is your name! It made me lol
24:48 I'll bet a lot of people have heard that theme at least 20 times.
Lmfao
True
***** didn't say everyone.
... 20?? FUCKIN 20?! If you beat this game with only 20 of that than you are fucking amazing... js...
MrSHURIKENCHO I did say AT LEAST 20
Oh does this bring back memories! Thanks for posting.
You bet, this baby is probably getting me the most attention, among the other soundtracks I've done as well, I've generated good interest! :D
Best music on the NES for sure. The whole soundtrack together is masterful, telling a story, much the way classical music does. Incredible!
Admit it, you all came here for 14:13
+Then00bhunt3r i did but i found a better one at 22:10
+Then00bhunt3r
23:03 all day bro.
+Then00bhunt3r Actually, I came here for Pushing Onward, but both it's all great music.
+Then00bhunt3r 11:49 is great
+Then00bhunt3r
To be precise I came here for 0:20
13 wimps rage quit from those damned eagles lol
I actually didn't find the eagles too bad, I just jump over them and wait for them to return, then I kill them, lol.
The hunchback ninjas were much more annoying IMO, they jump around all over the place and always close to you.
Too funny. Nintendo made us hardcore. Gotta stay 100% focused at all times.
HARD TO AGREE!
TrueHolyRune Papa Nintendo taught us right.
More like that damn cat!
Thanks for throwing all of these together man it's really helpful to find those old tunes
I do what I can for the thing I love most! :)
Job Well done my friend. This is such a good effort and as a Ninja Gaiden fan I really like it........Thanks.
Pushing Onward
Nowhere to Run
Unbreakable Determination
Yes exactly the music communicates this, it haunted my conscience for twenty six years..
So awesome bro. One of the best soundtracks.
faxanadu13 Same here bro. Its a good haunting Id say. I played this all day and night. I was so glad when I beat this for the first time. It felt like I cured cancer and saved the world literally. My Nintendo almost overheated. Lol. Awesome name and icon, by the way. Faxanadu is another gem.
My first all-nighter was with Ninja gaiden. I was 8 years old. Ive been addicted to l 3am ever since. But whats missing? A warm Nintendo and Ninja Gaiden flashing thru my synapses!
Confession to the Guilty: My wake up alarm is this track. No one would understand this but a fanatic. It helps my cut down the mundane obstacles in my way. Super Shuriken!
thanks man! thanks for sharing awesome music from games that i play in my childhood years
man! Bringing so much memories. Back in the days I was so proud to be able to beat that game. 8-16 bit era was gaming's golden age. Video games aren't has epic as back then.
Only 3 games I've have seen on the NES that had a resplendent respawn problem in the same places going away to back to the same spot over and over was Ninja Gaiden, The Legend of Getsu Fuma, and Festers quest.
*****
Never thought of Ninja Gaiden like that and it makes absolute sense. Spot-on!
i always felt it was a problem, but, if it was like what you said, it makes a better sense to keep it in the first two games i mentioned. Fester's Q was just annoyingly done if that's the case.
***** well, just because my account name is CoD doesn't mean i'm that Butthurt try hard. i could care less about any new call of duty that comes out. But why would i bring up fester's quest? i know it's terrible. never played it, thank god, but I've watched AVGN on a lot of the turrable games. (and good ones that he's done too, specificly, Ninja Guy-DEN!
If producers making shitty electronic music want to consider themselves musicians than this guy is their MOZART.
Producer here, I can confirm this.
Thank you man amazing job and thanks for share
This is excellent. One of the best games I've played on the famicom, I couldn't belive how awesome was to watch those cutscenes... and the music hnnngh!!!
19:23 "You killed my father..."
Stage 1 track is by far the best. 1:12.
Love what you do!! 👏👏👏
Thanks for uploading Wiiguy! Old, retro, love it.
Music at 4:50 sounds like it belongs in The Exorcist or Friday the 13th!
Can I get an MP3 of just Unbreakable Determination?
There is a download link in the description of all the songs in separate MP3 files, enjoy! :)
***** Thank you!
Are the songs separate in the download file?
Wouldnt be hard to make happen if you seriously want that! Im a huge fan of the ost so im taking a few of the songs I like and turning em into songs if you would like me to email it.
That's going to be awesome!! Thanks again!!
One of the most badass 8 bit soundtracks ever! Made u hype enough to keep playing through the numerous deaths
7:06 is my favorite but it loops.
Those AVGN days...

It doesn't feel right to not hear that sword sound after the first track.
hi
Lol! I was waiting for it!
"The fight of your life".....I NEED TO PLAY THIS GAME. (Was born n '99, have all the major Nintendo consoles except the Wii U.) (Not counting ds, Game Boy, cause I sold it for a GBC, dsi, and what else...the game 'n watch...and the virtual boy.) My NES works like the day it was taken to the store and bought. No joke. My pre-owned S.N.E.S was bought in 91, and I got it in the box with everything except the main booklet, ad smw. (I got it later.) The games I have for it are- Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong-Quest, Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, Top Gear, Top Gear 2, Mario Paint (I don't have the mouse....I need t buy one.), Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. I have Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, A Link to the Past, and Super Mario RPG on my Wii.
You do know all 3 Ninja Gaiden NES games are on Virtual console, and gave been for years.
.....Didn't the Wii shop get taken down though?
mericalgirl1234 no! you can still buy stuff from there! I'm pretty sure...
Really?.....I don't have any credits though....
mericalgirl1234
No, it is still there and can still be accessed by the Wii and the Wii U in Wii mode.
The best videogame sound track EVER created!!!, amazing tracks, what a vibe!!!!, these catchy tunes brings a lot of joy and nostalgia... thanks WiiGuy for sharing all this awesomeness!! :D
Awesome music for such an awesome game! Thanks for the upload!
