- I embraced Islam at the age of 23 (over a decade ago) and I am often asked what inspired me to look into Islam. Since I am a caucasian Canadian who grew up in a very small and atheist household - it was quite the change. In this video, I explain how I came to my decision and ultimately how it has changed my life.

@Shadow Reptile Islamic based banking approaches remuneration differently from western banks. Christian Judaic banking remunerates it’s activities by charging interest which is the product of capital multiplied by time. Islamic banks do not want to place monetary value on time, therefore they move towards partnership agreements. There you go.

I have to say, what has really opened my eyes to the point where I am obsessed about learning more about Islam was watching the historically based Netflix series Resurrection Ertugrul. My interest has completely increased because Islam is so beautifully depicted in the series. You could say I am slowly coming around. It helps to hear various personal stories and speakers about Islam. I appreciate your beautiful story, Alhamdulillah.

if you watch Omar serie, the best I have ever seen, it is really about the Life of Mohammad , and in some part Omar, his companion and second caliph. Amazing, and you can can find it for free with English sub.. I saw it 3 times even though I already know the story.. it is 30 chapters.

That you explained in your vídeo is absolutely true. I,m reverted spanish muslim and i felt the same than you. The Life is difficult and islam protects us about this difficulties. I experimented It in my Life. Alcohol destroyed my first marriage and my exhusband just left us for alcohol and parties. Now i,m a Young single mum raising my kids in islam. And as a muslims i Hope that Allah keep them far from this type of problems. Alhamdulillah i found the properly way and i feel Happy and calm how i never felt before to be muslim. I am loving this video ❤️❤️❤️ We need more of this👍🏼 I’m a born Muslim, but it’s good to be reminded of things you were taught as a kid 😅 I try to practice islam the best I can (when I know I can do better) but sometimes I forget the reasoning behind why we do what we do, when I know Islam is made for mankind to help them.
I am also a Canadain revert who married a Pakistani woman Ma sha Allah. I agree with everything in this video, broken homes, no structure, freedoms, drugs and alcohol, partying, suicides, incarceration, racism, fighting, Jail, teen pregnancy, single parent homes.. this is not a Canadain thing its a western world thing. Islam gives you eyes and opens up your senses about your entire world around you, it is truly a blessing, no other religion does this, Islam is a system and way of life, its not really a religion. Islam gives you a 3rd eye sense, it gives you an ability to see your surroundings truthfully, it thrusts you into learning, reading, researching, historical referencing. I have never been an astute person in my life but when I accepted and started wanting to know more it threw me into a 7yr spiral of absorbing information, reading information, book hunting and deeply trying to grapple with the structures of our modern world and why they exist.

I think this is comman sense, and also you think that our Muslim ummah easily accept us?? I converted before 3 yes now, but their question "y u come.. when a person come to Islam they just say Masha Allah . After that don't like to give her son or daughter to that reverts! Don't give a job!! Personally during these 3 yrs I faced many of problem , came from Muslims than my old society! This is the current situation of our Muslim ummah in my country specially.. as a revert we have to answer two parts* ,"y u come, and y u went" ... Now can u imagine ??

I am not a religious person whatsoever but I absolutely love learning about your religion through your family. You guys seem so sweet!!!
My husband is a convert, he grew up in a Hindu family but never believed in those beliefs as he wasn’t convinced, so he was kind of ‘irreligious’ you can say. Alhamdulillah he found the answers he was looking for in the Quran.
I am so honored to be married to him and he brings me closer to the deen.
From what I have observed, a lot of people are hesitant to learn about Islam due to the media misrepresentation of it, and even if they do come to know the reality of it, they are afraid to convert due to the fear…of how they will be perceived, of being associated with the stigma of Islam so to speak, a lot of the times it does happen and they get treated differently to how they were before. Most of all, they are wary of backlash from family and friends. If all this additional stuff wasn’t there, many more people would be converting daily to Islam. I have even met many people through my insta account, people who are sort of ‘undercover’ Muslims, they hide their identity in the social media in order to not be labelled.

I listened till the end, it's very inspiring, motivating, touching n interesting turnover of ur life. TBH I used to have a very common n negative mindset abt Muslims, it's fixed on my mind that majority of the Muslims as merciless humans this n that but after I came across the Saleh family n started to follow them am starting to change my perception. Ofcourse, there are good n bad section of people from all religion n countries but my opinion n mindset abt Muslims is changing n clearer now. I don't like isis because they mixed between the doctrine of the Kharijites and Ibn Jahm which is considered the first movement in throughout the history of islam mixed between these two doctrines but they did a video in 2015 called the sunrise of the caliphate and the return of the golden dinar, you can check it out to understand more about bank system and the negative part that Saudi Arabia plays in this case.

Salaam brother been watching your video accidentally on CZcams you reverts are are inspiration to us muslims and we should embrace you guys and take notes from you because you are the new generation off muslims seen so many reverts or converts marrying muslims and changing your lives around subhanallah I suffer with depression and go off track sometimes but when I come across stories from you guys it gives me strength mashallah look at you now. My religion is universal, I like to say. I do heavy research on every kind of religion and appreciate the aspects of each one and base my beliefs & faith on my own terms. I'm very interested in Buddhism, Catholicism, and Islam right now.
If you want to learn about a religion ask the believers of that faith and not everything you found in the internet plz^^

Internet does help too, but when you look on the internet you should look at different perspectives and make sure your on a reputable historical website. I just want to spread the word of open mindedness :)

Alhamdulilah.. I am from Malaysia and had worked in Vancouver couple of years ago.. your video always pop out in my feed but I had never really watched them until today. Love the way you are making the comparison between the conventional banking system and the Islamic banking system, as back then I was working with HSBC Canada, and now am back in Malaysia working with Syariah compliance local financial institutions, and I truly get your point on how this conventional western banks work. Nevertheless I do miss the snow this time around and snowboarding in Whistler . Do come to Malaysia and perhaps you can give a talk to the place I work with.

Assalam Alaikum, thank you for this video! I have not taken shahada yet, I'm trying to learn first, the person who got my interest sparked is over 8700 miles, half the globe away from me😂.
Trying to explain the banking system, interest ect to someone from Pakistan is not easy, they don't understand that families don't live under the same roof, upon growing up, they build credit lines, get their own homes, struggle at first ect.
It's a given the Qur'an is important to read and learn from, but I keep seeing ads for lessons on Islam online. What would you suggest? The closest masjid is an hour away, and with covid-19 still going on, it's not safe to be in enclosed places.
Ps, I've started keto and intermittent fasting, so when ramadan comes around, I will do it, but because of my job, I can't just stop to pray. I'm taking small steps, but I'm getting there.
