lol, nice build up before the plot twist : >
Never let facts ruin a good story (Irish probver)
A black cat once shared my life a long time ago. He was born on HALLOWEEN. I miss that cat.
''I'd never belong to an organisation that would accept me.'' (Groucho)
Never is the devil so dangerous as when he wears the mask of righteousness.
@Timothy McCaskey "It takes a wicked man to do wicked things and a good man to do good things, but if you want a good man to do wicked things you will need religion for that." - Christopher Hitchens
@Timothy McCaskey I'm with you Timothy. But I must say Pascal also gave us Pascal's Wager, which was a load of bollocks.
So True it is not easy doing the Lords work. Witches ARE REAL! God is ultimate reality, evil exists. The namesake of my username, judicially sentenced to death probably more people in English history, anyway. According to Wikipedia it was Earl of Warwick and not "Hardwick". The lies are subtle and not always obvious, to the untrained eye.
It's true there are people who call themselves witches in this day and age. But as to them possessing supernatural powers?.....well I haven't seen any evidence for that.
@Candyman Evil only exists because there is a supernatural. Without which murder wouldn't be Evil, it just wouldn't be good. In fact it may even be good for society on some level eugenically, as the infirm are slaughtered.
Unless you would be willing to discard the notion of Evil and thus any defence against it. Witches definitely exist in so far as they manipulate reality through paradox. The simplest example being a square-circle. If things are based on consensus, truth does not exist.
“Deliver them to the magistrate’ assembly forthwith in the Shire in which they dwell”
Lol, I got that.
I get that reference
He is a wretched sinner, utterly unworthy of God's love.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thou art a wretched sinner, utterly unworthy o’ God’s love. A fountain o’ pollution is deep within thy nature, and thou livest as a winter tree; unprofitable, fit only to be hewn down and burned. Steep thy life in prayer, and hope that God sees fit to show mercy upon thy corrupted soul.
Their first victim was an elderly old widowed woman....That is so sad.
Many, many accused witches were elderly, a fair amount of them probably suffering from some form of dementia, along with others suffering from mental illness, handicaps, etc. Others were people who were a bit odd, outsiders, people who had trouble with their neighbors or caused other problems in the community...
She also had only one leg. When these people were hanged, there was no trap door on the gallows to break their necks, so they died by slow strangulation.

There is a movie from the late 1960's called The Witchfinder General with Vincent Price has Hopkins. It is excellent.
Yes it was a very good movie
Lol of course it was Vincent. That amazing man would have been burned as a warlock born in earlier centuries.
Tf I think it was horrible
Its a cult classic, but i would love for a new witchfinder general movie, just keep nicholas cage away from it.
That scared me more than ANY if his movies.😷👍 Good movie though.

Vincent Price was good as Mathew Hopkins in the 1968 horror film 'Witchfinder General'

I lived in Ipswich for years, and there are lots of stories that go around about the rampage of Matthew Hopkins. Aldeburgh's museum has some great stuff.

Hopkins was portrayed by Vincent Price in the film "The Conqueror Worm" in 1968. It was also named "Witchfinder General" and parts were filmed in Bury St. Edmunds.

I'm seeing some parallels to Holy Grail. I guess I didn't realize how much history Monty Python was making fun of. Do you think the evil bunny is a direct reference to her demon bunny?

I like the movie "Witch Finder General " with Vincent Price. Was he related to Johns Hopkins ?
Made in 1968, this movie certainly took liberties with historical fact. Vincent Price was aged 58 years and he was playing a man in his early twenties.

Good job Biographics, good job. This period of history is very difficult for we modern people to understand its a bridge between our fully superstitious primordial past to our more scientific ways today. We still possess these tendencies we must not take our enlightenment such as it is for granted.
