    The first chord played and I am already hooked. I wished Heitor Lobos was more recognized he composed amazing music with such distinctive colors.

    A apoteose dos jogos instrumental-harmônicos, em contrastes surpreendentes. A obra é uma floresta ampla, profunda, bela e trágica.

    Chants parfaits pour lire les formes subjectives des nuages et suivre d'un œil attendri les rainures des tiges des arbres; apprécier l'écriture complexe des branches imbriquées, goûter les couleurs de la décomposition de la lumière en gouttelettes d'eau dans un jardin, ressentir fortement le sol humide de la forêt ancestrale pour percevoir les traces des animaux du passé profond 🦉

      Thanks for recommending this piece. It is has such enchanting timbres throughout.
      I never particularly liked Villa-Lobos' popular pieces, so I kind of wrote him off, but looking more into his works, I've discovered that he is such a master of orchestration.

    Villa Lobos tem sempre uma verve apoteótica e trágica que me fisga. Aqui, pode-se ouvir que ele traz para a sua música o canto do pássaro brasileiro em meio a sons que capturam a natureza.

    • @souzamatheus_composer
      @souzamatheus_composer Před 2 lety +1

      Apoteótica e trágica, como a história do nosso Brasil. Ele capturou bem o espírito, a "alma brasileira".

    • @millennial8441
      @millennial8441 Před 2 lety +2

      Sim, porque o Villa é a transição entre o romantismo tardio e o modernismo. Ele faz uso de muitos procedimentos harmônicos de Debussy e Ravel (a peça "O naufrágio de Kleônikos" é Debussy escrachado). Entretanto, é muito clara a intenção novecentista dos crescendi súbitos, a orquestra gigante, essa ideia do "sinfônico", a melodia largada e sem fim (olha o Richard Wagner aqui), dentre outros típicos procedimentos dos compositores do final do século XIX.

    Diaghilev, Balanchine, Lifar lived in Russia. Many composers dedicated to them their works: Stravinsky, Satie, Villa-Lobos... Why are there no Diaghilevs in modern Russia?

    As a native South American I can understand there is no enchanted little anything here. If you by chance were in the forest alone and that singing comes around you are in the presence of something not of this world. It's a legend of the Amazonas for which the composer felt the respect you are not showing.

    Man... I encourage inventive orchestration but asking for things like a violinophone (Stroh violin) just makes pieces like this underperformed and I can't program them with my orchestra :(

    One of the great composers of the 20th c with a very individual style. Absurdly under performed while complete trash is commissioned by orchestras in the full knowledge that 90% of it will never be heard again because in reality it’s not even music, just dissonant sound.
