I personally feel like when "collecting" especially when I am purchasing. I like to think of it as adopting. If there is no connection than I don't need it. Like the one you sent me. I love her. There was just something about her that spoke to me.
I love adopting dolls because its like I am getting a new friend/ family member to add in my circle.

Great video Tammy. I only collect custom Blythes, but your Video applies to me as well. I look for “immediate excitement,” I only collect lightskinned dolls. And actually sometimes the outfit that they come in speaks to me.

I’m like you Tammy when I see the Blythe illustration or the doll I need to have a “crush” 😂 if I don’t and I’m seeing myself hesitating, I pass. Also I need to feel “connected”, like it needs to speak to me. If it’s a crush and I immediately see what I can create for the doll then I buy it.

This is great advice! There is only 1 doll in my collection that I have a smidge bit of regret about. Awww I rarely play with her. I love your tags. hi! love this topic! i wish i could get a new release when it comes out, but that doesn't seem to be the way it works for me. (except that new book-ish blythe coming out?). especially since i seem to find particular old releases irresistible! such an expensive hobby! so, i have to save up & save up & hope another blythe doesn't catch my eye (some custom, etc.) :) have a relaxing weekend! stay cool... namaste :) ps, i have learned a lot from your channel :)
