I find it interesting how a huge part of being a nine is feeling and thinking that we don't matter and then we are always addressed last As a sx/so 9w8 I think maybe a type eight would be the best match for me . Because maybe they will be able to handle my explosiveness. As a nine I don't ever mean to be as explosive as I am. Being an ENFP with a Se demon doesn't help. I don't know why CZcams didn't show me your channel for years. But you definitely are the most succinct and thorough.
I’ve been waiting for this one. This is my parents relationship. My dad is a 8w7 and mom is a 9w1. Both super unhealthy. They are divorced now (thank goodness), but it was a brutal household to grow up in. I never could understand why or how they ever got into a relationship and stayed in one for so long. This gave me some insight. Thanks
I feel a bit lost trying to type the people around me, and I realize now that's partly because I tend to think about them in isolation or in social/work dynamics, and I don't give enough thought to their relationships. So thanks again for this highly educational series!

Commenting for the algorithm gods. I've seen enneagram content from several creators. I've seen videos from people in a discussion type format, reading off notes that they've gotten from their readings. I've seen really fun videos people have done of skits of the different types in different situations. They're always interesting, engaging, and entertaining. However, anytime it comes down to introducing someone brand new to the enneagram, I always guide them to your channel. Your videos are the most well organized and succinct of any I've found thus far. The enneagram can be an iceberg, and you manage to show the tip of it in a way that isn't confusing or overwhelming, and leaves the viewer excited to go more in depth. Additionally, this series on all the combinations of types is exactly what I've been looking for, and I believe you're the first to do it on youtube if I'm not mistaken. Ive only seen generalized, "how to love X type" videos. I think it's incredible you've taken on the challenge to do a video for every single combination, and I thank you for it. I genuinely believe people and relationships will benefit from the work you're doing. I can see how hard you are working on this channel, and I'm rooting for you to keep going man. You're doing life changing work. I'll do everything I can to see you hit 100k and beyond someday!

This relationship series has been a major goal since I started YGAT, and a BEAST of a creative process that's taken years to prep for. It's truly been an exhausting journey (and I'm still far from finished!) so it really is encouraging to read a comment like this. So studying the enneagram for years one thing I kinda disagree with is you are born that number, seems that everyone I talk to about their childhood you could almost guess their number without them telling you, example I work with a guy who keeps everything he has perfect, cars, clothes, ect. Ask him about childhood, dad was strict and ridged and mom has OCD, he is a 1w balanced wings. Myself childhood trauma , verbal sometimes physical,low self esteem became a wall flower, conflict avoidant, peacemaker full of rage 😡9w1. What do you think about being born a number or being made one ?
I believe we're born with a certain psychological temperament as that's pretty well documented. But how that temperament gets expressed is heavily influenced by our parents/caregivers. So I'd hypothesize that we're probably born with the possibility of being 3-4 different types (based on our genetic temperament), but our first few years determine how that gets cemented into our essence. Fun convo!

9:30 ugh I don't see how a relationship with a 9 could work for me as an 8. I couldn't respect that kind of avoidance or pretending.
Just need a healthy 9 that's learned to embody that 3ish kind of confidence :)
