Hey Jason, watching your videos is incredibly therapeutic for me. I don't even build model houses myself (I'm building cardboard model planes, trucks and locomotives) but I can't miss any of your builds. It must have something to do with your kind demeanor. And as I said before, I just love your music...!!! ...lol Oh, and I think you're a genius...!!!

@@evilsdexter5261 ... that would be neat but it's a lot of work and takes time I unfortunately don't have. But punch in "paper models" in the search bar. You can buy kits and they can be insanely detailed. Paper modeling is very big in Europe and Asia but almost unknown in North America. Because it is also a very inexpensive hobby and we can't have that over here lol.

Jason, yet another inspiring build. Wonderful the way you combine a couple of really nice kits to produce a bigger whole, using just a couple of scraps and an old cereal packet.
I'm wondering though, when you pan back over the whole layout, is it all beginning to look a bit similar. Great in the details, but the bigger picture? Surely one or two structures should stand out as brand new, perhaps a cinema (movie theater) or Post Office?
It would be so great to see how you attack a brand new building, perhaps with the scaffolding still up, some builder or painter applying the finishing touches? Someone always has some cash to flash. In the same way as a great artist - such as Turner - would paint a small detail in bright red to draw in the eye, a couple of buildings that popped (a 'red barn', maybe) would pull the eye in to look at some of fantastic detail work surrounding it.
Sorry to be a Grinch here, but just wondering? I think it was your placing of the new model against the real sky that made me think this.
But really no criticism, I love your work. As ever a fantastic job Jason.

However, not having a model railway I've never found an opportunity to try this kind of thing out until I had a sudden brainwave while watching this video. Being a Sci-Fi nut, I had the idea to make a War Of The Worlds diorama, with a Martian tripod and a part destroyed structure! Thanks for the inspiration.

I just don't see this as looking real at all. The buildings are in a total state of decay and disrepair. But These are representing open and operating businesses. Even the advertising signs are old and deceptive and any business that has invested in signage would keep it in better shape or have it replace, a product rep visiting this place would probably offer to replace the signage so they are presented in a better light. If this was an old building abandoned for 20-30 years then this makes sense but not if it is a operating business.

Yet another great inspirational build. It so good of you to share your creative skills with us.
Quick question, what did you use to build the walls of the "roof" structure, of the little building, between your 2 buildings, it looked thicker than card?
    Thank you again.
Keep safe, and happy modelling. Michael
