Bought this last week and love it. Heavy duty magnet on it for sure. Doesn't fall off when you're hitting on a peice to get it set for a weld. The groove on the level fits perfectly over the cap welds. Thanks for this video Vince if it wasn't for you and your vids I would have never seen this product. Much appreciated

I always test my levels for level before buying them. I will take the level and put it on the floor, take note of where the bubble is because I'm not concerned about the floor being level. Then I will flip it over and make sure the bubble is still consistent with the first reading. If it is it's good to take home. If not put it back grab another one and try again. Of course it's only works with straight vile levels it will not work with bent tube vials
Just take a reading and spin it 180 degrees. It should read exactly the same both ways.
Vince....this vid reminded me of that TV commercial where every time you saw the guy, his mustache/beard changed in every shot (kept growing), lol. Loved it when every time shot cut to level, than back wide, you had another level added to the table; I thought it was awesome👍🏻 along w/ showing us the comparisons w/ the bubbles & view ability from each one.

The strong magnet is a selling point for me. I attach my level to conduit and suspend it out several feet between Unistruts . And it is so frustrating when the level drops off and goes crashing to the concrete floor.
This is what I've been looking for Vince! I build hydraulic machines and our machines have to be leveled including the tube runs

very cool !!! i use the magnetic empire with the high vis yellow vials...but have been giving the red sticks a look......I did not know they bought empire.... Vince what do you think of the Milwaukee plain vial red sticks that are magnetic .... for metal framing?
My empire 4 foot level's level vial fell out, and the plumb vial has never been right. The first time I used it, I chased my tail trying to figure out why my doors weren't setting right. Then I found out the plumb vial way screwed up. I didn't know Milwaukee owns empire until I emailed empire and I got an email back with a Milwaukee email address. The levels sucked, but the customer service was incredible. No b.s. with having to send in the broken one or sending pictures. They sent me out a new one in 4 days. It was awesome. So I bought a 4 and 2 foot empire levels with the light up vials. I don't know how i was reading the vial without illumination all these years. Working in a house that's being roughed in and the lighting isn't great, those things look like lasers.

Very nice new product. The ones I like was the emperor blue on the bottom on type of level.
So after watching this, I bought it and loved it until I was installing ganged wall switches and plates! That thing slipped from my hands and fell on the hardwood floor and dented it! I was so upset that I took it and threw outside as far as I could and I heard the neighbours window break! Then some screaming and swearing... long story. Vince, it is machined cast aluminium alright! I love this thing but I am far too clumsy for it. It is solid and precise and great too use... just now in my hands. I started reusing my other plastic yellow pocket level which has fallen on floors a few times without denting them :)

Not that the pocket level is a bad product, I can not find a convenient pocket in my bags for it. I suppose I could mod it and put a lanyard on it, but. For as much as you pay for a good tool, I'll wait for them to catch up on this one. Thanks for the review Vince.

I have the Milwaukee torpedo level and the magnets on it or rather impressive. I also have a FatMax torpedo level that is almost the same thing as the Milwaukee and when I got the fat Max I was pretty impressed with the strength of the magnets on it, until about a year later when I got the Milwaukee and found out that there is a huge difference in the strength of the magnets on the Milwaukee compared to the fat Max. I like the fact that that pocket level has side magnets. My pocket level is a husky it is good for the for $5 that it costand magnets on the bottom are fine but not like what you would get on the Milwaukee and also there is no side magnets on the husky
I thought nothing would ever challenge stabila, but Milwaukee Redstick levels are definitely a contender. I just go a 48 inch and its a solid tool.
Can you please tell me if the 1/8 and 1/4” pitch marks are accurate? I need it for condensation drains. Thank you.

There is a way to test it. Rotate 180 and bubble should read the same spot if Accurate.

Hello Vince, check your level one way we do it by setting it down one direction then turn it 180 and if it looks the same both ways its still level
Have ya seen the torpedo lighted level from empire Vince it’s a great level it stays lit for a period of time then shuts off by it self you have a great collection of levels yourself keep the great reviews coming

I prefer the green vial fro milwaukee. I have the torpedo and small 4" 48-22-5102 rotating level.
The 48-22-5102 was perfect for checking my miter saw blade and seeing if it was truly set to 90 degrees square

I keep a lot of multi levels around myself and I'm just not going to buy a pocket level if I don't have a level that's as long as my leg or a good 670 torpedo level I'm not happy I even have a level that's taller than me and I'm 6-foot good luck with the pocket level excellent video

48-22-5603 is the correct number for this pocket level. The number you have is for the Shockwave Right Angle Adapter

That's funny. I like the little pocket level. I really like the Solo Levels. My levels are German BMI levels and some older US made Johnson levels. I wonder if the Milwaukee levels are US made or Communist Chinese made. I know Empire makes parts of there products in the US with a butch of Communist Chinese sourced parts. Just a thought.
I believe it’s a mix as well but I can check! Vials are usually made in USA..

These have the best magnetic but the whole bubble part and white part its connected to the red part are just glued in and loosen off and you can actually wiggle it and bubble will move but base wont move so I took them back to the store to find out that I was the 3rd person in a week to bring them back they gave me my money back and I immediately bought the stabila pocket levels they are way better save yourself the hassle they are garbage
