But that just shows once again how good of actor he truly is, dudes behind the scene footage of training for the lightsaber fights in insane, the dedication, but to then watch shows and manage to adapt his old movie portrayal and the shows takes decent amount of skill
@@legendaryjimbob7685 It was incredible to see him refine the Anakin character in live action. Had he not watched TCW, he probably doesn't nail any of his appearances in Ahsoka or Obi Wan Kenobi. Watching the show made a massive difference
@@legendaryjimbob7685 No, it’s true that he watched the animated shows but Hayden said himself that he played the role the same way he did the prequels. If he sounds like Matt Lanter, it was a mix of it being unintentional and how Hayden’s voice is a bit deeper now.
If people thought he was similar to Matt, I think the shows that he was always the right guy to play Anakin but George didn’t utilize him well enough. You also have to remember that Hayden finally got to a play the more light sided version of Anakin in this show which we barely got and didn’t get enough of in the movies.
Hayden and Ewan makes me happy for lightsabers again. They STILL GOT IT!!! Damn legends. One of many perfect casting in cinema
It's a shame they kinda gave Ewan the shaft with his show. He deserved better.

That momentary flash of Vader's silhouette in the fog of war is Anakin showing Ahsoka what happened when he stopped fighting the darkness within him. Anakin died.

1:58 - That's actually Anakin showing Ahsoka how to disarm someone and take their saber from them. A trick she does to win this fight a few minutes later. GREAT detail.

Ironically she used it against Morgan
It's not dissimilar to the move he tried on Obi-Wan in their duel on Mustafar. The difference is that Obi-Wan just used the momentum to whirl out of the grab and force Anakin to defend himself rather than continue to grapple and potentially overpower him with his robotic hand.
They really do go the distance in showing that this is the same Anakin we saw years ago in the prequels, but with all the wisdom that his failures taught him.

Older Hayden with proper direction plays sooooo much better as Vader, more like i assume George Lucas originally envisioned.
I think part of it is that his voice got deeper/richer over 18 years. I would keep in mind that I think George did an accurate job psychologically playing Anakin as someone with teenage love angst suddenly being forced into positions he did not want to be in. Love can really screw a man up. I think the problem with 2 and 3 was bad execution and structure along with all the CGI environments.
@@krel33582 and 3? Those are probably the best episodes in the whole franchise. Revenge of the Sith is the best. They story of Anakin is ten times better than the story of luke. Be honest, they loved Han more than they loved Luke. Anakin having to leave his mom behind. Then having to lose her in his arms as a young powerful Jedi that was powerless to stop it. That can be maddening

They nailed EVERYTHING! The music, the visuals, the excitement/emotion and even the camera movements! (Barely any cuts, unlike the Kenobi Show where the camera man has Parkinson’s)

As a Russian Star Wars fan I was absolutely thrilled when I saw this and heard the original Clone Wars and Rebels Ahsoka's Russian VA doing this vereion of Ahsoka alongside original VA of Anakin and Clones. It was like 2008 all over again and I have 15th anniversary in the fandom this year.

The seige of mandalore happens at the same time Anakin and Obi-Wan went to rescue the chancellor Anakin sent Rex with Ahsoka, which is why he wasn't with Anakin during the events of episode 3

I think Ahsoka looked way, too young in the siege of Mandalor. From a rough guess in the animated series, you would give a logical idea that maybe she would’ve been around 17 or 18. Although the first version of her in the early part of the clone wars was more or less right.
they made her look taller though in that scene. So it was fine to me. 1:52 compared to 0:19

Well it's one thing to get 3 different actors for different stages of Ahsoka's life after all.
Especially since there's fight choreography for Siege Ahsoka, you're looking at training 3 people to keep up with Hayden's chad lightsaber skills.
They did pretty well with just Dawson and Greenblatt, though both still struggled to keep up with Hayden. Which is fine! He's the chosen one!

Only thing is I thought the reason anakin started to not trust the Jedi council because they refused to make him a master… but he had ahsoka???
He was a knight when Ahsoka was sent to him.
Knights can have apprentices. Obi-Wan was just promoted to Knight when he started training Anakin.
Anakin started to doubt the jedi council as palpatine seduced him that they are not confident enough for him to become a master it was insecurity that eats him deep inside and his premonition to padme adds fuel to the fire, he was lead to believed that the council will not help him save padme, remember he sought yoda for advise, he just told him learn to let go, which isn't really a bad advice but knowing his temperament and love he couldn't just let go. So he chose the sith over the jedi not knowing that he would completely succumbed to the darkside. That's the main reason why dooku didn't really 100% commit to the darker side as it could turn him into a complete monster and will lose the vision he had for the galaxy.
He was only a knight and they are allowed to train.
