      @@thorpeaaron1110 Hey Thorpeaaron,
We know because God told us in the Bible. Here are two places where the Lord tells us the authority He has and why.
And being found in human form, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the Name that is above every name, so that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. -Philippians 2: 8-11
I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which He has called you, what are the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His great might that He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put all things under His feet and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. -Ephesians 1: 16-23
      I hope you are well.

@@adamsanchez222 : I noticed that you quote Philip 2 :8-11which tells us thatGod exalted Jesus and bestowed on him a name that is above every name etc and that this is all to the glory of God Likewise, you quote Eph 1 :16-23 that informs us that the God of our Lord, the one who raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand etc....
My reasons for pointing this out are that these scriptures show the thinking of Paul. who coming from a montheistic Jewish background saw Jesus as the Lord messiah, one who was a different being from the LORD God. Clearly, to Paul, one is the God of the other. (Eph 1 :e3; 2 Cor 1 :3). Indeed, in all his letters, Paul sends greetings from two : TheLord Jesus (messiah/Christ) and the Lord God, the God of israel.
When the Lord Jesus asked us to pray, he asked that we hallow the name of God. The God Jesus worshipped is YHWH.

One question I have is why Jesus is always depicted with very long hair though the law forbids long hair for men and Jesus was under the law?

    • @sunnyjohnson992
      @sunnyjohnson992 Před rokem

Those pictures are inaccurate! Only Nazirites were not allowed to cut their hair. Since he wasn’t a Nazirite, he no doubt had his hair clipped like any other Jewish male and his beard was neatly trimmed.

The video makers rightly point out the name we use today, 'Jesus' is NOT the original name of the man we confess as the Christ. They point out that the name was most probably YEHOSHUA or Yeshus for short and means Yahweh saves or Jehovah is salvation. They rightly point out that the name was actually a common name at the time. This is an example of how many Jews incorporated the divine name into their own. CVountless Bioble characters have the divine name included in their own name. So much for Jews not using the divine name.

Yeshua, Jehovah, Yahweh, Jesus and ALL other names refer to the 1 God of Abraham, the God of Issac and the God of Jacob. The God of the Old Testament and the New Testament. There’s 1 God who has distinct roles He played “Father, Son and Holy Ghost”!!!!! Also Paul mentions it in Colossians. The Word Godhead refers to what a lot of people use as “Trinity”. Paul said in Colossians 2:9 that the whole Godhead rests in Jesus Christ!!!!

You are contradicting yourself. Either Jesus means Yahweh saves or yeshua means Yahweh saves. There are two different words/names/terms/titles here, so how is it they both are interpreted as having the same meaning-definition. Correctly speaking, jesus means “hail” (je) “Zeus” (sus).

LEAVE FOLKS NAMES AS THEY ARE; Then we will really HONOR that person. Amen. 🙏 thank you.

This is not accurate. The name Jesus, Iesous does not mean salvation. It means healer. The name YAHSHUA or in English Joshua means YAHWEH is salvation. How can we prove this? His Hebrew name is written in the Hebrew spelling of salvation. So much for it doesn't really matter.

I used to like Got Questions content until I read an article on their website claiming that anyone who takes part in premarital sex is imitating a pagan ritual.
This is misleading and dangerous, and it also scares off people living in sin from coming to know God.
I’m not saying premarital sex is not a sin but to say if any person has it that they are literally imitating a pagan ritual is hogwash!
I’ve asked numerous believers about this including pastors and they have all said that it is simply not true.
