One of the very best metalsongs ever created during history in our book. For all of us in our wide group of friends here in Norway. Brilliant in every way. Melodic symphonic metal meets melodic death metal. Excellent lyrics and theme. Two of the best singers singing together. Those drums. Choir. Those guitars and keyboard. That fantastic sound of this extraordinary song.
Your Instumental half of the album is probably the best "Instrumental Metal Album" of all times. Listening to it on workday every f***ing day ever since 3 years... on full!

I love the theme of the album so far. Really has this sci-fi, futuristic story going on. I get a Terminator-esque vibe, maybe even Hunger Games. Also each of the three songs released have totally different sounds. This one is certainly more symphonic metal/comparable to The Silent Force. The Reckoning is more rock sounding and the other is a pretty, slower ballad. The variety and balance between older sound and new is why I love this band.
Agree...so far all songs I've heard from the new CD are great. Way better than the material on Hydra.

Within Temptation; My band and I love your music. Sharon, you are one of my favorite singers, and I am so glad you have a new album and videos out. I think as a rock singer, you are the one that inspires me most with your beautiful voice and incredible fashion sense. Please come to America so we can hear you! I love your new sound; very raw and dark and futuristic. I think it's perfect for the time we live in as machines become increasingly powerful and AI and computers continue to take over human jobs. I feel you've only gotten better as a singer. I also am of Dutch heritage and my guitarist is of Norwegian; we do classical/rock fusion but are planning to write a symphonic metal piece and perform it once we've gotten our line-up down. You give me hope to continue writing my music and crossing my fingers that eventually soon, I'll be able to stop working crazy hours at non-music jobs and have time to compose and perform. Thank you so much!

This song makes me think of The Hunger Games (the first one) and I'm writing these words with a rubber "Hunger Games" bracelet on my right arm, a mockingjay necklace I got (for free) on the first night of the Mockingjay pt.2 screening I went to, and the cardboard holder for rubber bracelet with the mockingjay logo on it, on my desk. I know right, the first time I saw it on my phone I didn't think he was even there, so I was like "oh, okay then, maybe he just couldn't come". Well she started after making My Indigo, which came out in 2017. Sharon said she felt like stopping music and quitting after her dad died at the time. But the band themselves most probably had been working around 2015 to 2016 after the Hydra album. So it was probably difficult for Sharon but she is very smart, talented, and amazing and so she completed her writing and singing around late 2017 to all of 2018 which allowed them to wrap up Resist. So about three years spread out. Resist came out in early 2019.
