  • The day has finally arrived - the Weber 32/36 is going back on the 5K in the KE25 and it's looking shiny and new.
    Sometimes it feels like there's a whole bunch of work for little reward, and then sometimes you feel like you achieve a crazy amount in a small period of time.
    The 32/36 Weber received a service kit from Weber Performance, as I said: Not sponsored, just sharing for those who might be interested.
    The main setup of the Carby for things that were removed/reinstalled are:
    Emulsion Tubes
    Primary: F-50
    Secondary: F-6
    Air Jet
    Primary: 160
    Secondary: 165
    Fuel Jets
    Primary: 140
    Secondary: 135
    All of those were exactly as the carburetor was and had been on the car in the ~10 years I've owned it.
    However, as I suspected might be the case, because i rectified the issue with the adapter plate (Ie. the gaping hole in the side letting a bunch of fuel escape) the engine began to overfuel.
    However, that was not the end of my woes - oh no. There's more.
    Let me know if you think you can guess what it is.
    More to come.

    So stupid that YT doesn't push this to more people. It was super enjoyable to watch, mate.

      Thanks mate! Unfortunately CZcams is really not rewarding my long-format videos at all and they take forever to make. Trying to find a balance with my shorter form vids

      Yeah it's lame that people like you who make really good and informative and also entertaining videos suffer against the tik tok hell scape that is content these days

    Honestly miss my old DX Corolla with a 4K in it. They are so much cooler than modern cars 😢

    Was it the resistor on the coil that drops voltage to about 7 volts?

      @fatlipcollective  Před měsícem

      Nup I removed the resistor, but that did fail on me many years ago

    Ignition coil and timing too advanced? Or a bad/dirty fuel

    • @fatlipcollective
      @fatlipcollective  Před 5 měsíci

      Fuel was OK, Ignition coil was part of the problem but not the whole problem 😪

      They're pretty agricultural I'm gonna guess they were homemade. They were on the car when I got it

    Generator or voltage regulator

    • @fatlipcollective

      I did switch to an internally regulated alternator quite a while ago but neither of those are my current issue
