      I had an aunt who became deaf in her adulthood but she knew how to read lips. as children we learn to face people eye to eye because of her handicap and talk to them. I always thought that that was an ability that was greatly great because she could watch silent films and tell us what they were really saying

    You can tell she was having trouble holding it together. That's awesome!! Kudos to the teacher for putting in the effort not just teach sign language but teaching kids compasion and consideration for other people. And plus the kids for accepting the lesson. Good stuff!! 👍

      Blowing a thank you? 😂 we typically just say signing thank you. There is no blowing involved. We do blow kisses though.

It's the one place you should be learning new things, and since they'd be using it frequently, it means they'd remember it.     This video made my day. This teacher helping the kids are one of the best . The lunch lady is surprised and very happy I see. This is an Amazing video and when I was a child I always wanted to learn sign language and seeing the lunch lady very happy and emotional has touched my heart I literally wanna cry happy tears rn. The last child saying thankyou made my heart melt ❤. This video shows great compassion about others thank you for sharing 🙏

    I want to thank that teacher and those students for doing what they did. It shows dignity, respect and a whole lot of love. Not only that, but I'm a 100%. Sure that these children are gonna keep on practicing sign language just in case a moment like that occurs once again. I think those students and teachers for doing this. Because that's what teachers do they show us? They teach us so that when we go out to the real world we are ready. You are much appreciated, teachers God bless.

    This is what a community looks like! People with different needs and different backgrounds coming together to form a cohesive unit. one lady is deaf kids are learning and need to be fed, and teacher knows how to teach sign language. life skills get taught when we least expect it

      The other Day, a couple came in, the husbond was deaf, and when they left, he sign this to me.

    Thanks to the teacher whi knew what helped not only cafeteria worker but it made things better for the students also. The children can enjoy their lunch now and everyone are now stressed free can eat lunch without complaining and the cafeteria worker can get their lunch to them its a win win solution for all.     My mom was a cafeteria lady when I was a kid, and I still get DMs on Facebook from random people I haven’t talked to in decades that want to know how she’s doing. This woman is making that kind of impact on these kids and Vice versa. It’s so beautiful.

    My son was taught sign language around 2. He was regressing at speech & we found out years later he has Asperger’s is dyslexic & has dysgraphia. He’s on the autism spectrum & sign language helped him out so much to express to me what he wanted. It helped sooooo much. I’ll be forever grateful❤

    Real education. Not learning about the powerhouse of a cell, but learning actual life skills and things they can actually use in their adult hood, I hope this teacher continues to help teach them sign language because this just so sweet
