As an Anglican who has very deep concerns with what’s happening within the Anglican Church, Father Meeks message and instruction is exactly what I need. I’ve even mentioned to a few members of our parish over the past year that I believe we need to return to the Catholic faith. God bless you Father Meeks for all that you are doing
You are honest, brave and humble in your recognition of the truth. May God lead you back home, and may you in turn lead others. (But brace yourself for a challenging journey). Still, the rewards are greater.
Yes! Pl eww ase come back to the Catholic Church but follow the one that is following the true Magesterium and not the false one that is emerging. We are spliting too with those who are following the woke movement and those who stay with the true Church and Christ's teachings...we following the true Catechism of the church and what Christ instituted can NOT be changed! God bless you and may you come home to us
We are all so blessed to have you back again. You were always a part of my Sunday. Thank you for gathering your far flung flock once more. God bless you always.
Thanks you Fr. Meeks from Ireland. This was a beautiful summary of the 2000 year undeniable history of the Catholic Church from Pentecost to the present day. Really looking forward to your next talk. May the Lord continue to bless you in your vocation.
Excellent! You, Father Meeks, are indeed a most gifted teacher. We are blessed to have you share your knowledge and wisdom. Once a priest always a priest. I am grateful you are taking time in retirement to continue to nurture Jesus' flock. Much needed in these times. Deo gratias. Amen.
I just praise and thank God that I am able to hear your teachings still. They always bless me. As a convert of 35 years, the more I learn about my Catholic faith, the more the truth of it rings clearly in my heart and soul. I am so very happy to be home!
Welcome back (once again). Coming from GA where Catholics are often called “unChristian,” your very unique life experiences, wisdom and love for our Church, is so needed now. One time our pastor was taking a group on pilgrimage when some young people on the plane strongly suggested that “he become a Christian!” After tuning in to your videos since COVID, you became a mainstay in our lives and we were so sad that we’d all miss your wise homilies. Thank you for coming back to us and we’ll tune in every Wednesday and pass it on.
It is sad that the history of anti-Catholic sentiment has been lengthy. As Fr. Meeks stated, division is sewn into our experience. But, Jesus warned us that when we choose to follow Him, it will come at a cost. The Reward, however, will be indescribably worth it.
Father, so wonderful to hear you again. Thank you so much for instructing us and caring for our souls. Your guidance and truth are much needed. God bless you. You are in my prayers.
Father Meeks speaks truth! Bless him, it is so refreshing to hear the truth in todays world. Jesus said “ I am the way, the truth and the life. Find truth, find Jesus!
Thank you, Fr. Meeks, for providing the concise FACTUAL history of the ONE Catholic Church, the original Christian Church founded by Jesus. Good to know! You are an excellent priest and teacher.
This is marvellous. Thank you Father and God bless you. Thank you God, for giving us Fr Meeks. Please God, keep your one Holy Catholic and apostolic Church united.
Fr. Meeks, this was so informative and inspirational. An affirmation that our Catholic faith is the one true faith. I’m looking forward to your future episodes. There is much confusion and division right now in our church, and so many mixed messages even from our pope and many bishops and cardinals. Your wisdom and teaching is greatly needed now. Thank you and may our Lord Bless you and your family abundantly.
What helped me was his answer to the question: Is the Catholic Church perfect? “Yes and no.” Divine perfection, tainted by human failings, explains succinctly the issues at hand. A Pastor once cautioned a disillusioned parishioner against “church shopping”. He stated, “all churches contain fallen humans. God, however, keeps it all together.”
Father Meeks, so happy to see you again!! You are certainly inspired by the Holy Spirit and thank you for your very needed words of wisdom!! Can't wait for your next podcast!! God bless you!! ❤🙏
Thank you Fr Meeks for your personal story of Faith and how it has drawn you back to this present moment of Faith. And, the amazing impact your Faith teaching has impacted on my understanding of our Faith🙏🏻🕊✝️🕊🙏🏻
Bless you for continuing to serve. The historical perspective was most appreciated. Years ago, through the World Affairs Council, we were hosting the Education Minister of Senegal. As I was showing him about, I asked him to educate me regarding the differences between Sunni and Shi’a Islam. Having done that graciously, he asked me about all of the different denominations of churches he was noticing as we drove about. I replied, “from my limited perspective, it seems that every time someone has a theological disagreement, they leave and form another denomination. I think we need St. Paul to make the rounds again and write more letters as we clearly have gotten off track.” This old disillusioned Episcopalian is looking closely at your personal journey, Fr. Meeks, and am praying about joining the Catholic (Universal) Church.
Thank you, grateful for your podcast. Yes, I believe you are well suited to reach those you intend to reach. I am one of those. Family fell out of practice of attending mass, so I just went sideways and squandered 50 some years of life. 2020 brought me back to faith, and a great desire to learn all about it. Your words today did inspire me. So much I don't know! I loved hearing your homilies, but now looking forward to this new direction!
Hello Father Meeks. I've been following your teachings since Dec. 2021. They've been very helpful. I'm very grateful and glad you're continuing your teachings through podcasts. God Bless. Clare Quebec, Canada
Father you express extremely well the key reason for my return to the Catholic Church after 40 years in non Catholic churches. And anyone who asks me why I've gone to the Catholic Church are going to be sent this video 😉
I only recently discovered Fr Meeks on CZcams a few months back. I have since viewed many of his sermons and am deeply impressed with his knowledge and presentations. I can understand why his original parishioners latched onto him and subsequently followed him into the Catholic Church. I was saddened when he announced his retirement from his parish; I had just found him on CZcams and now he would be no more. But thank God he decided to start this podcast. I can pick up where I left off and once again learn from him about our faith in Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. Thank you Fr Meeks.
I am so pleased to hear Fr. Meeks is continuing with his ministry in Christ. We need him and he needs us. Together in Christ Jesus the battle for Souls is forward on.
Fr. really looking forward to hearing your podcast, especially after having heard this one. Your decision to use this platform for apologetics will no doubt have a tremendous impact on the people you mentioned at the beginning. Thank you. God bless.
Thank you! I have been a “conflicted Catholic “ for years and found my “adult” faith grow in the non-denominational churches. I have so wished to for someone to explain and, perhaps, answer many questions I have. (I was educated in the church just through the 6th grade. I look forward to hearing more.
Thank you Father Meek. Your knowledge is always welcome. Please address Agenda 2030. Some of us are confused and need clear information from someone like yourself. Thank you. Blessings!!!
I’m looking forward to future episodes of your podcast. This first episode was very informative on church history. I’ll be praying for you Father Meeks. God bless you!
Thank you Father. As a Catholic who is fully surrounded and deluged by non believers at work, in my family, in the community, the media (the chaos of modern times for sure) and gets distracted very easily, I find your words grounding and comforting as support networks for the faith are virtually gone. I so appreciate your help and guidance. God bless❤
Father Meeks, Thank you for your time to make this video. If the rest of your videos are going to be this way, I am hooked. Thank you so much. You had me rearing up a little. I am Catholic and I know I am going to learn a lot from you. God Bless you, Larry from Twin Falls, Idaho.
I am so thankful to hear this talk about the history of the church gives us so many actual facts of its beginning and actuality of being the absolute one true church founded by Jesus Christ can't wait to hear the next talk in the series thank you Father
So very excited to see you back. I’ve been missing your always profound homilies. You didn’t disappoint again!!! I will share with many!!! May God bless you and your family abundantly!!!!❤
I am so happy and blessed to hear your voice again, teaching Christ’s truths. I used to listen to you every Sunday night before going to sleep to be fed the truths of the Catholic faith that I am not getting in my parish church. I am looking forward to your next homily. God bless you and keep you safe. 🙏❣️
Father Meeks: I have enjoyed and benefited from your homilies for several years now, and I am so glad that you will continue to speak, guide, and educate us is this next chapter. You are a rock 👍
Interesting content. I am both a history geek and a Bible nerd, so I found your podcast interesting. I am a Protestant, but I agree with you about the sad state of the continuing fragmentation of the Protestant churches into ever increasing new denominations. I think much of the problem in the Protestant churches is the rampant apostasy - the false teaching resulting from a watering down of the gospel to fit cultural norms - i.e., wanting to be everything for everybody in a fallen world. It is tragic. I can see this happening eventually in the Catholic church as well. I loved when you mentioned all the great Church Fathers and wonderful women like Teresa of Avila. Of course, we Protestants would also claim some of our great church theologians as well - Calvin, Knox, Edwards, Wesley, to name a few. I do believe it hurts the heart of Christ, our loving shepherd, to see His flock so divided. It certainly is not meant to be that way. I look forward with great anticipation to your future podcasts. I am especially keen to hear you discuss transubstantiation as that is something very different from a protestant's understanding of the Eucharist. Thank you.
I am so looking forward to this . I have always loved your homilies spoken by a rare thing these days outside an inside the church: a man of Truth. Thank you and may God continue to bless you .🌹
A good Priest you are and that's a rare thing this dark days. I've listened to many of your sermons and have reached the conclusion that you're also extremely well educated and intelligent. May God bless you and keep you.
I shared this to my [newly started] Facebook timeline with a setting of "public" before I listened to it, knowing that Fr. Meeks is SOLID! Now, for perspective, I have one aunt who is nominally Catholic, because her first husband was Catholic. Other than that, my ENTIRE family is ardently Protestant. I have a nephew (-in-law..?) who is in seminary formation in for the Methodist church (although I don't know which one). My parents are members of a Baptist church that joined with a Mennonite church because neither group could afford a full-time pastor on their own. 🤦♀️ So this is definitely a video that [I didn't know] they all needed! 😄 I'm glad that I shared it, I'm glad that I posted it publicly, and I have absolutely no intention of changing settings, or apologizing to anyone! Typo 😔 God bless Fr. Meeks!
Bad things are going on in all churches. We must pray for JESUS to intervene and clean up His Church.😢
