The Congregation of the Fathers of Mercy, which was founded in 1808, originally under the title of “The Missionaries of France.” The community was founded for the purpose of re-evangelizing the people of France after the Catholic Faith had been subjected to years of attacks and persecution during the French Revolution. It is now exclusively an American community. The Generalate of the Congregation is located in Auburn, Kentucky. The primary apostolate of the Fathers of Mercy is to conduct parish missions and retreats throughout the United States and other countries when called upon. The Congregation also staffs rural parishes in the Archdiocese of Louisville, Kentucky.
I'm not a Christian or even religious, but I feel this message deeply. I've been reading the Bible recently since I never did growing up. I think I'm still far from becoming a believer but I'm going to explore Christianity to its fullest. I see so much evil in the world and I see so much good in the church. I've always lived my life seeking truth no matter the cost. If there is truth in Christianity I have faith it will win me over in my exploration of it.
I pray and hope The Holy Spirit leads you to the truth with humility.🙏🏻
I’ll be praying that our Lord will guide you on that path to Him and once you find it you’ll wonder how you ever made it this far without Him, but in reality, He was always there just waiting with open arms! Remember, we are all given free will!

Excellent sermon Father ! The oddity for me is I accidentally found a sermon just like yours by a priest whose name is Fr. Mark Beard who spoke about " being on the fence" Unfortunately and recently Father died in a horrific auto accident and he was well loved but maybe not by his superiors . I happen to think there some hanky panky behind this accident because every time a courageous priest speaks he seems to disappear in one way or another .

At 74 years old I've been on board and now after 53 years of a Catholic Wedding, 4 sons , 16 grandkids there is nothing that COMPARES!

Physical attendance of mass has decreased unfortunately but perhaps people turned online to hear mass instead. In addition, there are more non-Catholics joining the church through Catholic teachings on youtube, facebook, podcasts and vimeos etc. But nothing compares to physically encountering and receiving Christ during Mass.

Never give up. Crosses appear in various ways, and trials. We all have them, in some way or another. I will pray the rosary for your family's conversion, and your acceptance.

Father’s analogy of a Hurricane is the vision of St John Bosch, the wind and waves smacking the ship (which is the Church) however the ship survives by staying tied to two pillars the Eucharist and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
