You need to make more of these 3 part videos, thanks again for a great set! Punching is another tool in the arsenal!
Very good information.
Thanks Steve!
Excellent series Steve. After a few frustrating trips to the Delta have concluded I either need to learn to punch or fish somewhere else!
Thanks John, It just taks time, you can find success with a wide varity of baits, it's all time on the water. Good luck.
Great video I enjoyed all 3 they all had good info and I learned a lot How about doing a teaching video on umbrella rigs when to throw what to look for and how to rig just a suggestion.
Thanks Rick for the support. I will be throwing A rigs soon and hope to do a how to video this winter some time. Thanks again for watching.
This was a great series, Steve. That bubba shot looks interesting. Thanks for putting this together.
Don't forget the Bubba shot,it's a winner.
Great punching series. Really informative and adding a better tool to the fish-catching tool bag. Keep up the stellar work and thanks for all the time and effort you put into these.
Thanks for the support. Good luck and hope we are able to cross paths on the river some day.
THANKS SIR !! told my guide i just went out with tuesday 11/30 /21
......in all my times going to the delta (before you tube i only fished the outside edges with 3/8 oz weights .....and only open holes in the mats ..... Kicking myself for not knowing how many fish were sitting there laughing at me wiggle my worm from WAY OVER THERE lol
Hope you caught some fish. There's lot's of fish in the thick stuff.
Great stuff!!! So Saturday I caught a few nothing of size. Flukes punching frog and swim jigs. Down sized to a 2.8 keitech with an underspin to land the biggest of the day around 2lbs. On Sunday we caught a bit more on cranks, bare swimbaits around 4in, chatter, swim jigs. Biggest was at low light in the evening on choppo around 3-4 lbs. seems downsizing and going bare swimbaits throughout the day in best for numbers. Bigger ones on top water in low light conditions.
Thanks for the report Jeremy. Sounds like your falling in line with other reports. It's great to be getting so many reports. When anglers hear what other anglers are doing it not only gives them a direction but also reinforces that they are throwing the right baits-even if they are not catching fish.
@@indeeponthedeltawithstevec5997 glad to share the information. I love helping anyway I can!
@@JS1erra20 Thanks Jeremy-good luck.
Very informative. Thanks for all the time you put in making these!
Thanks Tim, make sure to send me a pic when you nail a big hog.
I really enjoyed this series and learned a lot from it, this is what a novice like me can really use to increase my chances in catching some good ones. Keep up the great work Steve. Also thank you for sharing other sites that discuss knots and other useful tying tips. Go get um!
Glad to hear it! Thanks for the support.
Thank you for this three part series I have always wanted to punch but had a lot of questions, which you answered for me. I punched for the first time this week and caught a 2 pounder on the third cast. Looking forward to catching more.
Congrats Ronald, the first punch fish is the hardest. As you start to catch more fish your confidence will grow and the numbers will stackup. Good luck.
Great job on this series Steve! I need all the help punching I can get. I like the idea of lubing your bait with scent. Might have to try it on my old lady!
Thanks Cleetus but you may want to hold back with the wife idea.
Awesome. Thanks Stevo.
Great info Coop! Thanks!
Thanks Eric-I know your catching fish so keep the good karma going.
Monster Bass has good prices right now on tungsten weights
Thanks for the heads up-I will check it out.
Going out tomorrow at big break, it’s been quite a while since I’ve been out… hopefully the tide will be ok? Thx for knowledge
Good luck-make sure to send me a report.
Well we went out at big break this morning, 9-27-21, super windy, tried for stripers, got one shaker, and then a seal showed up. We were using frozen shad, no live ones at the shop. By 10am we called it, then fished at my friends private lake in discovery bay and it was amazing. We caught 34 bass, small to my 3 pounder, but so much fun. I chalk it up to we both left our iPhone on his deck… lol those were all caught a weightless Senko’s… thx again
@@robertchalfant7233 No fair-but sounds like fun. Thanks for the report and good luck next trip.
3 for 3 Steve. Punching is fun.
What brand spray you use Thx Glenn
Hi Glenn, the scents I use are Megastrike,Pro Cure Garlic Craw and Smally Jelly Craw.
@@indeeponthedeltawithstevec5997 hey Steve do they make a spray? Thx Glenn
Great video. How do we contact you? I'm a marina manager in the Delta and we would like you come on by sometime and check us and our restaurant out.
I've been having better luck punching a worm... I always start with craw but I've been quick to switch to worm
Me too. I like punching worms and tubes.
