that's such a cool beat he comes up with for the second tune in this medley, starting at 9:50, and eventually returning to the original beat pattern at 18:00. I think Haynes recorded most in the 60s. First tune here is title track of Metheny album Haynes played on in 89. Pat once said RH is best drummer for doing something creative in every bar. I didn't care for 'live in studio' Q&A album til I listened primarily to the drums: then the entire album seemed like a 60minute drum solo or something. RH's got style on the hi-hat, ride, and...everything really

I bought the Q & A album when it came out, recording was done the way it always used to be done, all live
