It would be awesome if you sent someone to do some speed testing at La Posa Long Term Visitor Area in Quartzsite Arizona around January during the peak snowbird season.

A most excellent review of the plans. I had been very confused till now. I am in the USA but my boat is in Europe and that is where I want to install and use my Starlink. Should I buy it in the USA and take it with me (Gen 3 not in EU yet)? If I do, should I activate it here first using Global Roam then pause till I go to Europe (I don't yet need offshore use..all coastal). Or should it be purchased in EU when I get there? I assume they will gave a Gen 3 there before Summer.

Can you use the standard $90/$120 fixed location option and use it while camping away from home? Instead of a mobile Roam plan

Can i use the normal high performance model in motion ? Like the standard actuated version ?

Hi there. I assume you are referring to the original High Performance dish with the pole and the motors since you compared it to the Standard Actuated.
Technically that dish was never approved for in motion with the pole option although it was originally sold as a marine unit.
There should be no reason it wouldn't work with the correct Mobile Priority plan, but you would be on your own to come up with a design to mount it flat since no one ever designed a flat mount for that dish since the Flat HP dish came out soon after and was officially designed for in motion use.
That dish is quite a bit larger and also weighs quite a bit more than the Standard Actuated so securing it would be important.
We can't advise you to go this route so it's at your own risk.

Can you pause the Standard plan for a month at a time?

If I opt for a plan that restricts me to my home continent, I live in the US. If I decide to go to the Caribbean, is that considered North America? If you chose to take Y-not to the Bahamas, would you have to change anything?

Yes, the Caribbean is in North America - anywhere marked as Land on their maps will be usable with the Mobile Regional plan. Ocean areas will require Mobile Priority data.

I wish they offered an unlimited plan that doesn’t include priority data for the in motion Starlink. I need in motion with a permanent mount on my 5th wheel but refuse to pay $250/month just so I can have a permanent mount Starlink. Give me an in motion permanent mount Starlink with unlimited standard service and I’d be very happy.

You can switch your plan to Mobile (you may need to cancel and restart service - really no big deal), and just purchase Priority data as you need should Starlink ever enforce their terms that require Priority Data for high speed in motion use.
