Excellent! So nice to see real rifles being reviewed, not a fan of bolt actions, but these do look very nice , so much better than the plastic things we are offered now. I hope to be able to afford a nice African Caliber gun someday!! I'd like a 416 Rigby, 450 Rigby, 500 Jeffrey, 505 Gibbs.. keep up the GREAT work! Much respect and support from Yuma, AZ. 👍👍
Thank you for the kind words. All your calibers would be great. Those guns all show up periodically on gunsinternational.com that is where I found most of mine!
Just found this channel. Great stuff. I have a .404 Parker Hale 1100M that I use on good effect on Asiatic Buff and pigs. Not as pretty as the rifles here and more in the Game Warden class but a good thing none the less. Would love a classic.333 Jeff though. Shame about Woodleigh going up in smoke. Going to be a whole bunch harder to feed these classics with a quality big game projectile.
Thank you for having a look ! The plan is to add a video at least once a month. I see for the .404 Hornady and Swift A Frame is available. Also on page 16 of May/June issue of Sports Afield there was reference that Woodleigh plans to rebuild- so I hope they do !
You are quite correct, maybe I was unclear-Jeffery was in business untill 1955, was aquired by Westley Richards in 1957 and the Jeffery business was merged with Holland and Holland in 1959. Thank you

Hi there, I have a 300 jeffery and struggling to find out more about this weapon SERIAL# 28330. It's seems to be very unique with engravings and initials T.E.K it has been very well used. Do you possibly know of any Jeffery 300H&H out there?
Hi Corne, I checked Nigel Brown's book and the serial number you refer to was made in the period 1920-1940, so between the two world wars. I see that Jeffery is again making the 404 and 500 in bolt action and you may be able to get more info directly from them, the contact e-mail I have is: sharpshooter@wjjeffery.com . With regards the caliber 300H&H, I have not seen an offering from Jeffery for sale and neither am I aware of any for sale right now. All the best.
@oldcolonialtreasures114 thank you for the response, wjjeffery have emailed someone in the US that have the workbooks. I have been told that this 300H&H came from a hunter who hunted in India with it before it made its way to east africa and ended up being gifted to my great relatives around the time of the film hatari in arusha. I suspect it must of been made for someone important with the elaborate engravings and an ivory front pop-up sight. The weapon looks a bit beat up but still used every year. Thanks again
The .500 Jeffery is actually a German round called 12.7x70mm Schuler, and the .333 was used as a sniper rifle during WWI.
