6 OF THE VERY BEST 1000cc RH SIDECAR GRASSTRACK RACES 18

With so many incredible 1000cc RH Sidecar races to choose from over the years, we start compilation 18 with another visit to the 1997 Wimborne Whoppa at the famous Uddens circuit, and it's a cracker of a race between John Halsey up against Ivor Matthews. Race 2 and the multi British Champion Steve Smith showing he still is a class act when battling with Colin Blackbourn. Smith shows fantastic track craft to make it a photo finish in the end, but did he get up for a super win? Off to Abingdon for another spectacular bit of action with Tim Bennett/Steve Hargreaves trying to hold off a very quick Gary Jackson/Mick Stace, with the hard charging Rob Wilson/Tony Miles battling to get by Colin Blackbourn.
We pop back to 2022 at the ultra quick boarded circuit at Roche in Cornwall, and Clint Blondel makes a super start and battles to hold off Colin Blackbourn. Riding the wide line for most of the race Blackbourn has one last effort on the final turn, but would it be enough? Back to the Abingdon circuit for another incredible race, and it's the crew that made the Berks Bonanza their own in the 1990's, the father & son crew of Alan & John Blewitt. After Rob Wilson/Tony Miles make a great start, they soon have The Blewitt's all over the back of their outfit, for what made a terrific race. The last thrilling instalment in this compilation comes from another Berks Bonanza meeting, this time from the Steventon track. Paul Whitelam/Kevin Jones get the drop in the first turn, but John Halsey/Jason Glenie make a dramatic move going into the last turn to try and force their way through and take the win.
