Why did I get the Nissan Frontier?
I was looking at the 22 Tundra for a long time but opted out on getting a full size truck mostly due to parking and I don’t need anything that big so it just became a matter which mid size.
The Tacoma is the king of mid size. I test drove the new TRD pro a few times. But that truck is ancient in terms of technology and everything. The tech was outdated, the back seats were cramped, it’s still using drum breaks in the rear, the 6 speed transmission is clunky, and Toyota is charging up the ass for it. Plus every Asian dude has them… so I wanted something different.
I looked at the Americans ones too like the Colorado and Ranger but you’d need to get the ZR2 or Tremoir package to be any good and those are stupid pricey.
I eventually came across the 22 Nissan and it just blew everyone out of the water in terms of what you get for the money. It’s less than the Tacoma but packs so much more. A V6 3.8L that produces 310hp that can tow up to 6300lbs, it has a new smooth 9speed automatic. It was no brainer and I was able to find one at MSRP because of the recall. It comes with everything I wanted for offroading and it gets 18/22 mpg , that was better than my Crosstrek fully modded.
I’m really happy with the purchase at @dublin_nissan … can’t wait to get this rig started!

That truck is sweet! I found your Instagram about a year ago and because I loved your crosstrek build so much I just finally pulled the trigger on a 2023 sport in cool gray khaki. I can’t wait to add some mods to it and really make it my own. Thanks again for the inspiration my guy.
