Mate, I am coming from a base line of not ever seeing an event with these modern trick trucks. I am truly in awe of how they can travel so fast over such rough terrain. We do not get this type of racing televised here in Australia. While your questions are valid I think your assessment is a little harsh and just maybe you might under estimate the effort involved in bringing this vision to our screens. I am thankful to Redbull for posting this up, I watched it with great interest from beginning to end..definitely no waste of time for me. cheers.

YKLABATYD F1 is a world wide, global, entity that has arguably the wealthiest sponsorship and highest following on the planet, the money and expertise is available for tv production that most developed and some undeveloped countries pay huge amounts for, definitely not a fair comparison. This Offroad racing with the trick trucks is unique to America with perhaps a sneaking into other countries for exhibition only. I guess I am a glass half full type of person and you may be right with respect to other American Off Road televised events with which this production should be compared.
Do you even think before you write something? Last year red bull made more than 5 billion euro worldwide, F1 revenue was 1.8 billion dollars. They are just being cheap and lazy.. BTW 200 million from F1 revenue went to red bull as prize money..

At 29:06 the drivers side tire they changed earlier falls off the truck. I think I tightened all the lug nuts. Maybe that fast tire change they spoke of earlier was just a tad too fast. Bummer shit like that happens.
the second time wasn't a flat tire, the axel just broke, that is why the tire went flying
Aahhh I see I did not think it was a second flat I thought maybe the lugs were not torqued enough and it broke loose.

***** I know. It still makes me cringe. It's more of a Nevada term from what I remember. Here in Cali, from Score, to MDR, it's always been a Trophy Truck to me. Trick Truck sounds a childs toy you would buy from KB-Toy Store. That's just my opinion.

yes its two different class trucks 1 being HP which trohphy trucks or "stadium trucks" are running around 1200-1500 and other is all around size and some small other things such as trophy trucks are genrally a 1 seater and made for short track racing with short track off road tires and short track suspension
Nope!! When Robbie Gordon was driving for Mr. Vennable the old Ford Hay Hauler was called a Trick Truck due to the numerous "Tricks" that the builder used in it's construction. The builder later admitted that the Truck was in fact Illegal as he tried to turn in The truck saying that he knows it was Illegal as he built it that way.
Trophy Trucks came about as a new class brought about with the Robby Gordon/Vennable was beating everyone. So Sal Fish added the Trophy Truck class with very few rules in place and with the understanding that this class was run ONLY for the Trophy thus the "Trophy Truck" class.
I would suggest that you research your replies BEFORE you insert your foot into your mouth. You seem to have NO REAL UNDERSTANDING of Off Road Racing.
yes there is dumb fuck one has a shorter wheel base with high HP and one is longer WITH LESS HP for dessert/long runs and the short wheel base for stadium/short track

Why do the tires go flat so often. Why don't they use some tougher tires
they use the tougher tires made by BFGoodrich, TOYO, GoodYear, and other brands but some times they hit very big rocks with sharp edges, thats is why they go flat

Cant use Electric in Desert Racing. How would you recharge It??? These guys are are doing pit stops in under a minute. there is a guy who built a class one car with an all electric motor. runs great but cannot compete in the long races because there is no easy way to recharge or remove and replace batteries.

Look it up and you will be shocked. The pure electric only really shines if renewable energy is available. Otherwise all you cot is a coal or oil or nuke powered car. Complete with pollution.
