- This Medical Spanish lesson on discussing pain in Spanish is a re-record of a lesson I gave about a year ago but the sound quality was terrible. So, to give you a glimpse of what we're talking about today, I'm covering:
1. Vocabulary to describe types and intensity of pain
2. Talking through the pain scale
3. Sharing essential questions around pain like:
- When did it start?
- How long have you had it?
- How bad does it hurt?
- What kind of pain is it?
- How often do you have this pain?
- What were you doing when the pain started?

@@CommonGroundInternational ok thank you.
Severe does NOT mean severo. It is a false cognate. Also, intermittent vs. constant pain has to do with timing and not the qualities of pain. Pressure is presión and not compresión. Punzante is sharp, not throbbing (pulsante or palpitante),. AFAIK irradiadora does not exist and it has to do with location of pain.

Woof. What's with this bad American-style Spanish?
Consonants are way too strong, and the "r" is wrong.
Students: this might be good content, but poor delivery. Don't do this accent.
I have traveled to a number of Spanish-speaking countries without speaking a word of English to get by, and I have never heard a native Spanish speaker speak like this.
