I'm a California transplant in TN. I moved here prior to the "pandemic" and government overreach. Considering moving out of TN to Wyoming possibly within the year.
I work in pest control. Do pest control companies do well out there? What are the bigger one's minus Orkin/Terminix? I'm trying to consider if I want to stay in pest control after 8 years or try something else that may be decently compensated. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
@@Paleoprimal I've been in Wyoming since this past June 2021 and honestly don't have any info on pest control. I will say that relocating to WY was one of the best decisions of my life and our family couldn't be happier! Wouldn't be anywhere else in the country!

I just landed a job with a pretty big start up in Sheridan. I’m relocating from the East Coast and will helping the company hire new employees. Now, to find a house! 💃🏻😬

Actually came extremely close to moving to Casper a few years ago, but at the very last moment it didnt happen. Hope to potentially move to Wyoming when I retire
Wife and I are looking for some place to retire and maybe work part time. I have been to Wyoming before and loved it! I told her about it and she is all for moving there eventually. Cost of living and part time employment will be a big concern for us.
Wyoming isn't bad at all. Only if you love cool weather

Unfortunately the job prospects in the state are very limited, and it's hard to find a good paying job outside energy and mining. I work in IT and if it weren't for working remotely I''d never have been able to make Wyoming work. The few IT jobs I have seen come up in Wyoming often pay considerably less too (sometimes half as much). I love living here, but it's not an easy place to carve out a living unless you're in very specific industries or your employer is out of a big city in another state.
I work in IT in California and was looking at moving to Wyoming in the next 3 to 5 years maybe and i was thinking remote would be the best option for the IT position how is it out there working remote as IT? Im 23 as well and just staring my carrier in IT I want to get experience before going for a remote job that's why the 3 year gap. I have a degree in Computer Maintaince and this was my dream job.
Can anyone speak to the CNC machining situation in Wyoming? Is it basically nonexistent or is there definitely some work?
I am surprised to not hear remote businesses in your list with all of that rural space. How spotty is the Internet with starlink or local providers? I have not found a thorough vid or much info on Internet access in and around Casper. Could you make a vid on the subject? My wife and I are travelling to Rock Springs next month with a trip up to Casper as my family decides where to retire in under the next 5 years.

I have friends who are elections here, they tell me during a boom the oil feild hires everyone fast, you get crazy hours and very good pay, but during a bust you'll be fighting for a job

Two snows ago. There is still lots of snow. I prefer to walk and talk outside so most are outside. I have a video coming out in a few days that is inside because of the snow. I should have done one outside again. Haha

believe u me you don't want to live in wy theres nothing here but wind an horrible weather 8 months out of the year . Nothing but private land, so your hunting an fishing experience is a very limited due to lack of land access. There is no drilling going on .Mines are hanging on by a thread . an the refineries are Texas owned so those jobs are very shaky an youl be replaced by Texans don't matter how long you've worked there you are replaceable. she didn't tell you bout any of these issues did she ?
I'm retired and too busted up and injured from my long tenure in fire & rescue. I could consider fire & rescue or even law enforcement as senior management but, I'd probably fire 3/4 of the employees since I am one of the few that expect and demand any and all that are paid with tax money to do 110% of what is expected and fire them if it's 109% or less that they give! I've got 30 to 35 years to fill before I am expected to die. I won't sit home watching TV. Well, unless it's Gilligan, Lucy or Hogan's Heroes reruns, of course. And the Addams Family. Can't forget them!

Unfortunately for you, you’re part of these United States of America and as a citizen of said nation I have the freedom to move to your beautiful Wyoming.
Fortunately for you, if I do choose to move there, I probably have basically no intentions in changing things up or trying to Texas your Wyoming lol. I’m not a Californian refugee. If I move to another state I respect the need to adapt to that state not to make it adapt to me.
It seems nice in your videos but in KINGCOBRAJFS videos it makes Casper look ghetto and sketchy

@@alishacollinsrealestate I grew up in Wyoming...Douglas to be specific and my family moved to Casper after I graduated from HS and they still are there. Since then I have lived all over the country and I will admit that Wyoming is the best. So I advise you to keep that to yourself, lest you get overrun with people from some of these other state. They will demand that you change to their wishes.

Seems you may be one of “those people” yourself, considering you have moved all over the country. Wyoming isn’t exactly a secret hideout and Americans are free to cross state lines. “I advise you to keep that to yourself” seems like unsolicited advice. The lady was right, her videos aren’t that powerful, much like your opinion, people will go where they please and most of us learned that Wyoming exists back in grade school 😂

Absolutely! We are seeing a little more diversity throughout Wyoming which I do think is helping the economy!
