Connecting Chords by holding common tones, advanced intermediate lesson

In this advanced intermediate guitar lesson, I take the chord progression G, E-, C, and D and add the diatonic 7th to each chord. Now our progression is Gmaj7, E-7, Cmaj7, and D7. I then share a practice of connecting these chords while holding the common tones between the chords. I keep my voice leading clean by maintaining the lines on each string. Some of the chord shapes in this video are challenging but worth it. Enjoy.
