    As i child, i used to think that if i had a chance to time travel to witness or be a part off a significant historical event, then i would choose this same battle, or the battle of stamford bridge, serving under Flavio Aecio or Harald Hardraada was my dream, today i realized something thanks to this video, that child dream of taking part in this events is still burning within me

      Great Maximino! I share your opinion, I have always dreamed of having a time machine and being able to visit different eras. Thank you very much for your comment, I loved it.

    Very well done as always! I find this eta of Roman history so fascinating because of the way that the Romans had to learn to work with “barbarians” to maintain their empire. Keep up the good work!

    Una cosa que siempre me sorprende de esta batalla es que rápido ha cambiado nuestra concepción de la cantidad de hombres que lucharon y murieron en ella. De niño aún recuerdo libros de historia que, sin arrugarse, usaban las cifras con cientos y cientos de miles de combatientes y muertos de las fuentes de la antigüedad y como, cada par de años más tarde, eran menos y menos los combatientes y los caídos. XD
    Excelente trabajo en el video!

    • @historyforgamers
      @historyforgamers  Před 9 měsíci

      Si, pasa con prácticamente todas las batallas de la Antigüedad y de la Edad Media. La falta de información de primera mano o su cuestionable veracidad hacían engordar las cifras de los ejércitos. Hoy en día, cada vez hay más estudios serios por parte de historiadores que seguramente se acercan a las cifras reales.

    I really appreciate the story-telling, it is certainly better than the one in AOE2, however, I'd recommend making the cinematics more accurate, for example, when you have the Huns horseback archers fire at the enemies, sprinkle some units with low HP in the mix so that they can die from the arrow fire, during the whole attack I've only seen one scout cavalry die and it was funny, but inaccurate.

    • @historyforgamers
      @historyforgamers  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Yes, you're right, that part is strange since almost no Alans died from arrows from the Huns. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try to be more precise with that kind of thing.

    Ojalá añadan otro jugador a la campaña de Atila en aoe2 justo en este escenario de los Campos Cataluanicos (escenario 5)
    Porque eso de jugar 2 contra 3 es un dolor de cabeza, que sea 3 contra 3

    Amazing how the leadership of one man can have such a massive impact. Genghis Khan and Alexander the Great are other good examples of this.
