  • Did God create the world in six days like we read in Genesis, or did a big bang millions of years ago set off a chain of events to eventually form the earth and humanity as we know it? Is it possible to believe a little bit of both? Find out in this episode of Make It Plain.

I appreciate finding Christians who haven't gone soft on this issue. It was a Catholic priest by the name of Georges Lemaître who came up with the idea of the Big Bang. Did you know that? I remember some Catholic paleontologist practically losing her mind over Creationists, hurling insults and accusations, and questioning whether they were actually Christians. That was one the main drives that pushed me away from Catholicism. Catholicism will take "this is my body" literally but will shame anyone who takes "God created" literally.

Investigate what God says in His inspiring words for truth. Great topic of discussion for enlightenment to silence gossip untruth that is believed.

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth"Genesis 1:1.God is beginning and ending, everlasting and everlasting. True believers minds to God totally accept the entire truth of God's inspiring words without seeking to change His inspiring words nor ignore His inspiring words.

We are the offsprings of God, not monkeys.
    Acts 17:29
*Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God,* we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

"...really, when discussing the beginning...of all things, there are really only two alternatives, either...creation or evolution..."
Nope. This statement reflects a fundamental ignorance of what Darwin's theory sets out to do, as well as ignorance of science in general. Darwin's theory does *one thing*; it offers an explanation for the diversity of life on this planet. That's it. That's all it does.
Darwin's theory does not cover the creation of life; indeed, as far as I know, there is no scientific theory to explain the emergence of life. Darwin's theory is a theory in the domain of biology, so it has nothing at all to say about the formation or creation of the planets, or stars, or granites, or schists, or cosmic rays. It says nothing at all, anywhere, about the "creation" of anything, in the sense that the speaker is using that word.
Darwin's theory has no moral or ethical dimension; it does not tell us how to live our lives, or how to treat each other. It says nothing about the existence of supernatural beings (gods, angels etc) because such things are far beyond the remit of the physical sciences. If you want to apply modern methods to those issues, you'd want to look to philosopy and/or religion.
And finally, Darwin's theory is a part of modern science, and as such, can say nothing whatsoever about supernatural matters. This is because modern science can *only* operate on physical evidence in the physical realm; supernatural entities are beyond the scope of science, and so it must remain mute on that point.
I'm making this point at length, because I have seen it misrepresented so many times, in so many creationist lectures, books, videos etc. Darwin's theory doesn't answer questions like the ones I've listed, because that's not how science works. Thus, the theory of evolution does not explain why the sky is blue, *because that's not what it's for*. Claiming that a theory is flawed because it doesn't explain something that it's not meant to explain is just another example of ignorance. You might as well say that the theory of gravity is flawed because it doesn't explain where babies come from.
The rest of the video is just the usual sad creationist stew of misrepresented and misunderstood science and nothing more. There *are* legit arguments against evolution, but these aren't them. And the basics of evolution are easily understood; maybe read up on the subject before exposing your lack of understanding in pubic.

The big bang is nosense, but Scripture says, Adam was created on the 1st Day. No doubt.
