My first youtube Video, this is a showing of the build and kind of a small review on the Trumpeter 1/32 SU-30 Flanker. Please feel free to ask for any questions you might have.
People this guy is one of the best modeller online I learnt a great deal from him and he is really helpful. Some of his tips were just enough to bring my models come to life...

Great job. I built the Su-27B in the same scale by Trumpeter, and it's an amazing model with lots of details and no need of extras. Your Su-30 came out top notch 👍

No worries brother, nothing wrong with your accent at all it is very easy to understand you. Almost everyone in North America has an accent these days including myself. Thanks for the help full video and also very inspiring. Great job!

So it's gonna be amazing now as a hobby and stress relief. And a lot has changed! New techniques and materials. All we had back then was the model in a box (dirt cheap prices compared to now) sloppy contact cement and a paint brush. All plastic, but they were fun. Except we had no patience at that age to do a perfect job, in a hurry to slap it together! LOL

Skale Freaks I use my phone a lot, Every now and then I'll use my video recorder and do the whole editing thing but I find it just takes to much time and really doesn't add anything except and intro. just remember, if you use your phone always hold it sideways, that way you will fill the screen on CZcams and no one will be the wiser. 👍
This kit was the poorest fit of pieces I have ever encountered. The landing gear flaps were not designed for wheels up, I had to use Tamiya puddy galore there. The main wing joints, canopy etc...it was the most difficult build I have done. I was prepared to puddy but the extent was a little much. At $200 CDN I expected more in terms of quality. It turned out quite well, my best interior ever, Tamiya paints are unrivaled. I used ghost grey underneath and grey violet on top. Superb outcome. This is not a novice level kit.
Excellent comment!! i was also disappointed with tamiyas 1/32 tomcat. For that price ive seen better and more detailed 1/48 models. But at the end of the day is up to us to do a good job and make a masterpiece!

I'm finding it shocking, and a little sad, you apologized for your accent. Next, loved the review, and would love to see more detailed videos of you detailing the cockpit and other such work. I think you have a very comfortable feel to your video and I could have watched for much longer.
very nice job!!! you had a lot of fun with it... and that is most important... model looks very impressive... and you cought Russian airfield grime and wear very nicely... I have seen their operations and I must say that airplanes are amazing for being capable to run from very primeval conditions as they are... Great job...
The burnt metal exhaust is a mix of metallic colors, tamiya clears and little bit of alclad. And the cockpit i just cleaned it really good with a super soft cloth :)

Thanks a lot man! The reason i did clear is because i did pre shading. So, as you can see on the video. 1. the first coat is preshading 2. i will apply 3 different colors of camo, so i did the first one but not overall the whole plane. The other color i apply has to match the first camo color already on the plane. Clear is so i know how much "transparency" i left on the first color. So, pretty much you leave certain amount of transparency when you apply the camouflage colors over the presade. So i left trasparent to match the same amout of transparency.
Thanks a lot brotha, i used plastic because i want to be able to see how much transparency is on the paint that i already applied. if you see the first color of the camo, the under shading can be seen though the paint, so when i do the other color of camo, i want to make the transparency as close as the first applied color. thanks again
Hi James, It's not a MiG. It's a Suchoj. It's totally different manufacturer.It looks a bit like MiG-29, but in reality, it's much bigger aircraft.Maximum take off weight of MiG-29 is around 18.480KG, Maximum take off weight of Su-30 is around 33.500 KG.It's almost twice as much. But most people from the USA or other western countries never seen one in real.So It's hard to recognize each type from the other. Regards Pavel

Model looks really good! Two questions for you:
1) how did you paint the burned metal exhausts?
2) how did you get the canopy so shiny?
