10:18 ....Looks like a great way to crush your hand between 2 hard places......I just got this set up last week so I haven't removed the 260b yet but I'm sure I'll figure out a way to do that step different...LOL....That stand looks useful.....Thanks for the video.....
I bought a new 2021 JD 2025 with same 260B . . . I admire the disconnect . ..good demo . . I panic on the idea of ever disconnecting 260B in general . .. I cringe to the fact that everything I try never works out . . . I just purchased a extra 2 year additional warranty . . . no matter how you look at it . .. i think the whole deal is to risky to get hurt . . . with me . . I like to turn key and go . . .
I enjoyed your video. 👍Glad to see I'm not the only one that struggles with getting the backhoe on and off! 🤣I have the 2025R with 260B backhoe. I ordered the bxpanded storage dolly as well. The first one I received looked like a scratch-n-dent special. The shipping company must have gotten rough with it. That or bxpanded needs to package it better. I have to say their customer service was great! They promptly shipped me another dolly. The paint was still wet on it! LOL
I have it assembled, but have yet to put the backhoe on it. Looking forward to developing a routine that works more smoothly. Another benefit is that I can roll it around in the garage when necessary, and store it compactly.
I have had to replace the wheels once, however I am fairly rough on it. Otherwise it is a nice carrier!
Good video, I'm definitely going to get me one of those stands. A little tip that i learned the hard way, always re-connect your hydraulic fittings on your backhoe when you remove it so the fluid pressure doesn't build up when the backhoe settles in the stored position. They'll go right together every time with no problem then.
I manage to do that about 75% of the time, depending on how much I have pushed my time to do something with the wife, rofl
Some times she is waiting patiently for me to finish so we can have dinner.
Were did you get the cart?

Do you mean connect the backhoe hydraulic IN and OUT to each other, so they form a loop like the ones on the tractor?
@@deonbrewis8876 yes so the fluid has the ability to equalize pressure as it settles. At least that is my take on it.
Boi you really struggling hooking up those hydraulic hoses. Would help if you move the sticks around to relieve that pressure before trying to hook them hoses up.
I own both JD and Kubota. The Kubota hooks up soooooooo much easier and faster vs the JD. And the Kubota couplers go on easy, and they don`t leak all over like JD.
I made a dolly from 2 harbor freight flat furniture dollies and a couple of pieces of 1×4 for my 260 backhoe. I kinda copied it from the one that Tom built on "Tale of 3 cabins" with a couple of modifications. It works great.
Tale of 3 Cabins is a great channel! I have seen where several people have made their own dollies. Glad yours turned out. I went with the steel pre-made one because I have pushed it up and down a small ramp several time and I am not sure if my carpentry skills would have worked out. :-) Thanks for commenting.
@@AaronsRAdventures,I do use mine on a flat concrete garage floor. My driveway is gravel so it wouldn't work well there but mine sure made this old man's life a lot easier. 👍
@@johngersna3263 The ramp is a small one in the garage from where the cars are to a back space in the garage, it is a 4.5" step. Yea not sure what you could do for a gravel driveway. I have picked mine up with my forks and moved it while it was on the dolly. That was a clincher move, rofl. No problems tho.
The green grab bar visible at the 3 min mark attached to the rops on mine goes to the back of the tractor. Which I took off, being that you only have 8 inches or so to get on the backhoe. Got mine in August 2020, has to be wrong grab bar for 1025
I would go back to the dealer and have them check.
Here is a listing for the part on my tractor.

@@AaronsRAdventures I've been putting off going back to the dealer, since I don't need the help getting on the backhoe, but someday I may need it. And after seeing your link its gotta be wrong. Thanks for the info
Getting a little P O ed at bx I ordered this over 2 1/2 months ago they took my money but I have not heard from them.starting to wonder I contacted them and they told me they build them individually by order I will be contacting them again shortly
Good luck, it took awhile to get mine pre covid
Hi, I need help on the hydraulic system and watching your video I came up with an idea, kindly you can take some photos or better a video following the 2 hydraulic pipes that run the 260B excavator, where they connect to the hydraulic system of the
I will attempt to do that for my next video for you if it is possible to actually see the route. I have my daughter's wedding this week, so I will attempt a video on it beginning of next week.
@@AaronsRAdventures Congratulations on your daughter and sons as they say here in Italy
Ok Attempting to answer with this video. Let me know if this works.

Listed as #14B so it follows my other video about the third function option.
It would have been nice if JD had mounted those hyd hoses with bulkhead fittings on the tractor frame somewhere. Maybe you could figure out and make a kit...maybe get Tim C to make a prototype.
Then you would need a jumper hose in between since they have to connect together when you do not have the backhoe on.
My main wish would be that they were slightly longer to give you more room to work with.
@@AaronsRAdventures I was thinking that a plate bolted to the frame would give you something to push against when you connected the hoses for the backhoe. The bulkhead plate would have to be pretty stout though. Yes, it would not eliminate connecting the hoses back together once the backhoe is disconnected.
I think larger tractors are set up that way. So it was probably just a lack of good space reason. There is an option for a mounted set of lines in the back from the factory to control other implements. However you could not order that option and the front 3rd function together.
