on the green deadbolt with the deadbolt rear in the front, the lower links are 68mm, use c10/jeep/bronco rear lower links (58mm) on the upper front to correct the servo pitch
Rigs look great, I have mostly 1/10 scale among other RCs but these are great to have and detail. I enjoy this hobby but it's like getting a tattoo, once you have one, eventually you'll get another and another lol. Thx for sharing. 😉👍
Very cool, just got a SCX24 deadbolt myself. I have been doing RC for a long time but totally new to the 24th scale. Very much like what you have done with yours, the stretch look is awesome. A fellow E. Tenn resident as well!
Great job my friend!!🤩👍👍👍 I had a friend build a Dead Bolt after seeing your video. It is very wicked!! I have done the front on my C10 with a extra set of stock C10 rear links. *You changed the game with this stuff* !!🤜🤛 💢Subscribed💢
I like how you extended the deadbolt body I think looks super cool. I’m watching from Manchester Michigan, I did just subscribe I’ll be following for more, this is the beauty of this awesome hobby yeah love it
I have 2 scx 24s (jlu and gladiator)and I have a turbo rzr and I see the correlation for sure. And agreed both are expensive but enjoyable. Great vid Cheers
That's one of my biggest gripes when you install long travel shocks. It's great for articulating but not so good on climbs and it jacks up your ride height. I had to reposition my shocks to bring it down a bit
Great stretched SCX24s bro! One of my builds...MAD MAX...has the deadbolt rear on front and its perfect articulation. And yes it's still 1/24 scale all day long.
I don't know if they do it for all of them but I ordered a c10 a while back. Well they sent the deadbolts driveshaft with it, Just got a deadbolt less than a week ago and it came with a c10 driveshaft! Ordered high clearance links to stretch the rear of the c10. I thought I was going to have to order another driveshaft but the one that came with the c10 fits perfectly! Have some c10 injora high clearance 4 links coming in Wednesday to stretch the front of the deadbolt as well. Hopefully the driveshaft that came with the deadbolt fits the front as its a little loose when the suspension is maxed out.
I'm fairly new to this hobby but my understanding is that a short wheelbase gives me maneuverability/tight turn radius and less chance of high centering or belly rubbing but a long wheelbase gives me a better climber with less chance of flipping backwards?
I am building a Betty from the ground up and I am using gladiator links and a Jeep jlu frame. I love the long wheel base because it does the best crawling imo. Short wheel base is good for missing, the long wheel base is good for a belly dragger that can climb the world
I have built 4 new crawlers for myself since I commented on your video and all of them are gladiator link trucks with shorter lcg chassis. The longer wheel base is the best way to go. I have a couple c10s and they are not stretched and they have nothing compared to the gladiator length trucks. I run brushless furiteks on most of my rigs and I will say that nothing is like a brushless truck with the longer wheelbase.
Bumper bracket is what it’s called, I see you flipped it to put the bumper up higher. They have a relocation bumper bracket I got a couple of them for my bronco it just bolts to the frame and straight out instead of Dropping down then out works great
I’ve been debating on losing the bumper on my bronco but I may get another bracket and try it don’t wanna lose the bumper but it seriously gets in the way.
Not sure if you figured out your flipping problem on the red deadbolt yet, but I think using some limiting straps at the center of the front and rear axles really helps. As long as you put them in the center (I use fishing line) then you can keep the long travel of the double barrel shocks but keep both sides from extending all the way at the same time.
@@tcbrc7555 oh nice, sorry I haven't seen any others (yet!). Was just looking at ideas for stretching my Deadbolt and came across your video. I want to stick my Deadbolt body on my Gladiator chassis since I like the look more, and use the Deadbolt chassis for my various harbodies (got the new FJ40 hardbody and have had a Jurassic Park Wrangler toy on that short wheelbase as well).
Hi say it’s still scale, we just make them our own. And as long as I’m happy with it is all that matters. Now let’s get outdoors and have some fun yeah 👍👍😎
If you already have metal drive shafts on c10 the rear drive shaft works with rear bolt links. Don't do what I did and buy deadbolt shafts as not needed.
Will the red deadbolt front bumper bolt up to the bronco frame? What model and where did you get that bumper? Also where did you get that peace sign american flag sticker on the side of the red deadbolt? Thanks for the help
Hey man! Could you give me some advice on how to replace links to make it longer? I have a deadbolt and as you know, the front links stock are very short. Thanks
When you're attaching rear links to the front, how do you connect the 2 upper links where the y link goes? Do they just bolt to the outside rather than in between?
Ok Bud, I subscribed to your channel on this, the 1st of your videos I have seen, within the 1st 2 min. I hafta ask 1 favor, can you start referring to your rc's in the feminine sense? It just sounds weird to hear you keep saying ya stretched out "his" rear end! 🤣 jk, kinda. I got the Gladiator about a month ago and the Power Wagon I just got like 4 days ago. I ordered the stretch links for the wagon but they haven't been delivered yet. My next buy will probably be the C10 and after that Deadbolt. My cart on Amazon is holding about $3000 in rc trucks and upgrades. 🤣 Looking forward to more vids and I will probably join your other channel as well. ✌
I also have Traxxas TMax and Redcats Earthquake, Arrma Big Rock, I got 1 for my daughter called Vanguard and a cheap crawler. I am liking the 1/24 scale better the the bigger and faster rc's.
Hey thanks for subscribing. Yeah didn’t realize what I was saying probably cause sexual thoughts don’t enter my mind when messing with the RC’s but hey I can see the humor. I’ve had the FMS Power Wagon for several months now and put the rear stretch on when I first got it. Put it on my course and took about 5 minutes to strip out the driver front portal gear.

Some of the best upgrades I’ve seen amazing all of them.
Thanks buddy..
Thanks for the inspiration! 👍🏽 this is ultimately the look I want my C10 to have. Real nice, sir 🤙🏽
Thanks man..
Very well done mods. New to the 1/24 scale here. Just got the C10.
Thanks bud

Hell yeah brother I just found you pretty cool man checked out a few of your videos. Going to have to check you out some more.

If you need little nuts like that, just drill little holes in pieces of plastic. Plastic is usually soft enough to self tap with the screws.

What do you do with all of the front links and driveshafts? Can you get just the rear ones?
It’s to scale for sure. Winding if those are the rc lions 48 mm shocks under it(green deadbolt)
No sir it’s 43mm from Injora.

I bet that Kawasaki is fun , i got a plate on my viking and go everywhere here in Tennessee, nice scx24 's , i love mine

Can you use the high clearance links for the swaps or does it have to be regular links
How bout them gladiator links 😍I have a set I’ve been thinking about putting on my c10 also building up a chassis so maybe on that.
Yesssirr but your rear tires would be out past the tailgate..lol
try using rear gladiator links and shafts for the front and rear of any scx24 and its killer 😜 thats what i run

Got all 3 from Amazon.
Add some will wait to the front of that thing even with a shorter wheelbase you should probably still make it
All these RC’s have metal portal axles and brass wheel inserts, brass boulder bars.
C.an you send links for the parts please I'm building an scx24 bronco and I'm top heavy as hell
Hey man! Could you give me some advice on how to replace links to make it longer? I have a deadbolt and as you know, the front links stock are very short. Thanks
Not sure what else to tell you…lol
[love it. which rear links are longer, C10 or deadbolt?
Deadbolt rear links are longer than C10.
C10 60mm rear
Deadbolt 70mm rear
Gladiator 80mm rear
Roughly 1or 2mm off
When you're attaching rear links to the front, how do you connect the 2 upper links where the y link goes? Do they just bolt to the outside rather than in between?
Yessir that is correct both sides are threaded.
@@tcbrc7555 awesome, thank you for this video. I'm currently 3d printing c10 front links for my Deadbolt.
So the longer wheelbase scx24’s need the deadbolt driveshaft for the rear ?
If it has deadbolt rear links yes.
Stretched his rear means something completely different in prison.
Bahaahaa. Good thing I’m not in prison I guess…lol
