In his artistic work, Stefan Reiss has been researching drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, projection and light as an artistic medium for over ten years. The basis of all his work is the exploration of the theme of transformation. Stefan Reiss understands transformation as a multidimensional process of analogue as well as digital realms. The focus is on human perception, with the whole body and all the senses. Digital tools and human comprehension stimulate each other reciprocally and connect art and technology, research and innovation, interdisciplinarity and immersion.

O.T. 1131 is a digital drawing that has been transformed into a three-dimensional space using real, tactile materials. The contemporary piece of public art transforms the digital into a multi-coloured, mesh surface allowing natural light to interact with, and bring life to the artificial, digital design.
The colourful diagrams created by this installation connects an aesthetical approach with conceptual thinking, with the purpose of portraying a world that is evolving. The position of the sun influences the data shown, with passers-by invited to take a moment to engage and see the impact of the art features at work.

This unique sculpture interacts with natural sunlight and provide a sustainable charging station for visitors are set to be revealed at Southbank Place. Conceptualised and produced by Team Fisheye and Stefan Reiss, Lights on Data and O.T 1131 will deliver interactive urban furniture, as well as unique public art for all to enjoy.

Stefan Reiss studied Fine Arts / Sculpture at the Weissensee Kunsthochschule in Berlin (Germany) and attended the master class with Prof. Inge Mahn and Prof. Berndt Wilde.
He is a member of the Royal Society of Sculptors (London, UK), lives and works in Berlin. He's represented by Galerie Probst, Berlin.
