Awesome video. So I’ve got my 2003 Foreman taken apart because the bike wouldn’t drive once in gear. Thinking it’s the parts your taking off at 11:30 in the video. How did you get that 1 1/16 nut off without the back cam chain spinning?
The wrist pin worked out on ours grooved cyl but I only see one groove in piston for retaining ring and it came out the side with no groove top end was done by a shop a year ago ???
Awesome videos. I don't suppose you could help me figure what's wrong with my Honda TRX 420? I have a 2007 Honda Rancher 420, well taken care of, only 900 miles and 154 hours on it. Road it one week ago and parked it. Ride it regularly to keep it running. Went to start it, and one loud starter click. have since replaced the battery, starter solenoid, and starter, same click. Removed the 3-bolt cover on the back of the motor to gain access to the 17mm crank bolt, and removed the spark plug to see if I could turn the crank (maybe feel or hear something). Counter clockwise it's fairly easy to turn for 360 degrees. However, clockwise is really tight at TDC. I mean tight. Any ideas as to what I might be running up against. Never been under water, plenty of oil, coolant is full. Looked in the cylinder with a bore scope, nothing obvious. A little wear on the cylinder wall's, but not bad, and no oil blow by. Since it's over 10 years old the Houston Honda dealers don't want to work on it.
Is your idle up far enough? Let me know. Thanks for watching and the comment. Let us know if you have any questions or need parts: www.ebay.com/str/midnebraskamotorsports
Did you make a video on reassembly? I know it's the reverse of taking everything apart just was wondering if there were any tips or tricks or specific details to way certain parts are supposed to line back up. Ex. 300 fourtrax internal shifter arm dot lining up with the arrow. Anything like that to look for? All answers welcome. I've done several 300s I'm getting ready to do my first 450 foreman s
Thanks for all your videos. You do an awesome job, and i am always learning some very important information. I have a question. I noticed that the 450FM there has a centrifugal clutch. Would that be the clunk in the front of my motor when i rev it? Or am i dealing with possibly a bearing issue. I only recognize it when i rev from an idle. Thanks so much. and i look forward to your videos. Mike
I’ve got a 02 foreman when u turn it off clutch free wheels so u think my bearing is shot, it don’t do it when you turn it off in gear , it’s been this way quite awhile now
Love your vids! I have a 02 Foreman 450. when I install new clutch shoes do I have to let them soak in oil overnight? can't member if I read that somewhere or do I just put them in and then ride out??
Play it in reverse!! jk. stay tuned. Thanks for watching and the comment. Let us know if you need anything. Have you watched our carb rebuild video on the 450? czcams.com/video/ISioTZAfipk/video.html
