Love this one InfoPuppet! The part where you add color to the grass and sky is something I needed to know how to do and wish I had learned before. I know I'll be using this often. You're the best. Thanks again!!!
Hi EvilKittyLives! Thank you so much for the awesome compliment!
I've watched a few of these now. While the puppet is continually creepy, the content is great. Thanks a lot for the tips. These are so simple once I've been shown once.
I have taken classes for Elements; you beat them all! Thank you.
Karenaas Hi Karenaas! Thanks for the HUGE compliment!
I am sure this video took some time to put together, it was well worth it!!! As always you show the pitfalls or mistakes to lookout for, but unlike anything else on the net you display not only the function but the CREATIVITY that these tools offer. The program is becoming much more easy to imagine and create with. I really can not express how grateful I am that you take the time in your busy schedule to help us newbies!!!
Have a happy holiday and thank you again!
MrMoonpie
Thank you MrMoonpie ! Happy holiday to you and your family.
+MrMoonpie001 Hi MrMoonpie001, nice to see you over here on InfoPuppet. Fun Stuff. I am going through and checking his comments for questions that haven't been answered as the puppet seems to be on a long vacation. Maybe he is getting re-varnished.
InfoPuppet was a great teacher, he would bring to the table a insider knowledge and like yourself has many tricks and methods of how the big boys in the industry did things. As with all things in life, interest change or material gets covered, there is always a beginning and an end. I feel blessed to have had such great tutoring from folks like you and InfoPuppet, when I started picking up on photography and editing a few years ago, I didn't even know what a good picture was!!!! I still have much to learn! I will be ever grateful to you helping me find the best way to do selections and with understanding effects and blending modes! I am using them all the time now! Thanks again
Rich
Thanks Rich, I actually miss InfoPuppet myself. He did more basic videos than I do and there is definitely a need for those on CZcams as well as my more advanced stuff. Hope he decides to come back.
I enjoy learning your alternate technique approach to doing things on Photoshop.
When you lay your head down tonight, know in your heart that you are THE BEST!
Another great tutorial, always interesting, thank you InfoPuppet!
flookoco2008 Hi Flookoco2008! Thank you!
I really enjoy the creativity of how you teach with Info Puppet. Very witty and you keep it interesting all the time. I appreciate your hard work. Will you or do you have lessons for photoshop cc or do you only teach for the elements users?
"Alright!" InfoPuppet this is exactly what I have been looking for to help with my project. I can see from this tutorial other idea's that might help me speed along. However, this gives me the basis to start with.... "Excellent" and I thank you for taking the time to help me with this. I thought I would turn in early tonight but not now.... I have got my work "cut" out for me (harr command D harr) You are too cool InfoPuppet, Robb...
Thanks Robb! I enjoyed your cut out joke!, it brought a smile to my face which is not an easy task since my face is made out of wood!

Frank Gomez You lucky man!
Our favorite. When are you getting Photoshop 13 ?? I have 10 and just bought 13. I assume I can leave 10 on my PC also? Your the best !!!!!!
Heli4213 I will probably start using Photoshop 13 in a couple of weeks.
Ok. I assume you of course will leave all the other videos up or we will be lost. Unless you do all the videos over again, haha. Hope you had a good holiday. Ask Santa for Photoshop 13 ??
+Heli4213 Hi, whenever you install a new copy of an Adobe program on your computer it leaves the old versions installed as well. Just don't try running them at the same time, won't work. I currently have PSE 10 and PSE 13 installed. PSE 10 for the old interface and PSE 13 for the new interface. Haven't tried PSE 14 yet but from what I have read it is basically PSE 13 with a few more tricks.
I'm using CS6 and i can't select a color, it just turns to either Gray, Black, or White... Please help!
+Kecro Hi, a couple of things to check. First make sure that your image is in a color mode and not in gray scale. Click on the Image Menu, Mode and make sure the image is in ether RGB (screen output) or CMYK (print). If it is in Grayscale just click RGB or CMYK to convert it. Also if you have a layer mask on your image make sure that the image is selected and not the layer mask, look for the blue outline around the thumbnail. Layer Masks only accept black and white or gray.
music pls ?
Leave the original black & white alone, because the colourisation of the original black & white is fraudulent. I never said that I didn't like the colourisation of the original black & white photography, I said I hated it, because it is the butchery of artwork. There is beauty in black & white, which is the absence of colour. Now art is not all about colours, & pretty pictures, or the expression of feelings. Art is to point out what is challenging in life, straight facts, along with the use of science. The contrast, outlinings, interior, composition, toning, lighting, shading, shadowing, & shadows is what is great about black & white, along with the focusing, as well as imagery is what does make black & white absolutely beautiful!
+George Arnold Hi George, this is George! In any case, it all depends on your need. If all you have is a black and white image and you need a color image then go ahead and make the adjustments. Possible reasons, advertising art, greeting cards, photo art (sepia toning is one great example of adding color to a black and white in an artistic and traditional way.) I agree though with the spirit of your comment. Don't colorize an image just because you can. Great black and white photos are just that, great. I mean, who would want to colorize Young Frankenstein? It was filmed in black and white on purpose.
There is absolutely no place for the colourisation of the original black & white, because they have always had the capability of colour, however time, and again there are people who will change the environment with black & white instead of always having everything in colour to give you a different perception, and so there for no I am not for any of colourisation of the original black & white! Now what you said about sepia tome is 100% true, because that is where it is the cast involving the absence of colour, and yes it is the truth that there is no debate.
I believe you need to learn to use the photo shop better. The eyes and hair are the only thing that looks good.
