"Save Tonight" Easy 4-Chord Song | Eagle-Eye Cherry, Beginner Guitar Lesson

Hey everyone! In today's lesson, I'm going to show you how to play "Save Tonight" by Eagle-Eye Cherry. This easy 4-chord guitar song uses same four basic chords, in the exact same order THE ENTIRE TIME!

The lesson begins with the shapes: Am, F, C and G. We work through each of them, and then we practice switching between them. I give you some tips to help make that process as smooth as possible, and then we practice our progression using downstrokes only, and counting along, just to make sure we can switch smooth and steady.
After that, we take a look at the strumming pattern, which is interesting because we switch halfway through the pattern. We break it down and go through everything super slowly, and I even give you an alternative super-easy strumming pattern that turns this into one of the easiest songs on guitar.
Once we practice our strumming pattern, we put it together with our complete progression. At that point you'll be able to play this tune but there's still a couple more things that I'd like to show you.
First are the embellishments. We do a little hammer-on thing on the A minor and C chords. I teach you how to play it, and how to make sure that it fits in with the timing. Then I show you how to mute your strumming and make it sound exactly like the recording.
So we start with a simple four chord progression, ad we build on it one step at a time, adding the strumming, adding the embellishments, and finally, adding the muting. And you don't have to go all the way you can take this as far as you'd like. I just wanted to give you all the options and show you how they play it on the recording and what I would do to get there in a simple step by step way.
